    Just bought these and the bondi 7 for work. Being an x-ray tech is all about fast walking. Love the bondi 7, no more knee pain. Can't wait to try these

    Hey Steve - thanx for the review! I enjoyed the comparison with the line-up. All in one shot - great! Friendly suggestion... look into the lens instead of at the viewing screen :)

      Thanks for watching! I actually have been doing these just on my phone so I don’t have a viewing screen. Just me yapping at my phone. I am happy to say I do them in one take!

    I'm an Altra guy but I tried the Clifton 6 last year. First run gave me blisters on the top of 2 of my toes.....sounds like maybe this new version isn't as sloppy in that upper area like last year.

    Great review. I really appreciate your comparison with other shoes and past versions. I was excited to see you put up the Bondi 7 and hearing this will be coming in 4E.
    I had the Clifton 5 in wide and it was still a bit narrow, it just became irritating after 5 or more miles.
    As for comparing it to the Arahi 4, how do you see the width in the toe box? I tried the Clifton 6 in a wide and passed for the Arahi 4 wide. For me the Arahi 4 wide is a home run, but I really like running in a neutral shoe and I want the Clifton or Bondi to work for me.
    Look forward to a Bondi 7 review.
    Keep up the reviews and thanks.

    Great review! Thank you! I'm actually gonna snag the 6 now that it's on sale. I didn't really like 5 but heard version 6 made huge improvements. The 7 sounds great!!!! :)

      Run Moore Awesome! Looking forward to it. Trying to decide whether to just grab a pair of Bondi 6 for the next 5 weekends of long runs or if the new Clifton will be enough to bridge that wait.

    Great review! I have had issues with the arch biting in past Cliftons. Do you think the new 7 would have the same issue?

    • @mikezwijacz9580
      @mikezwijacz9580 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not alone! We had a bunch of returns/ complaints of the arch rubbing or causing blisters (myself included) Hope it’s better because it’s a great shoe

    • @uscfroadie
      @uscfroadie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same here. My version 6’s have calmed down after 20 miles, and now it’s not an issue. However, it would be nice for them to fit better right out of the box like my Altra’s.

      after 5th, still can't get used to loose heel part of my new 6th... hope , won't lost my shoe one day.... Hope, the 7th have worked on this issue

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out our review. We had heard similar feedback on the arch about the 6's taking some time to break in. It appears in just slipping the 7's on the arch felt better, we are hoping the changes they have made solve this issue. Hope this helps.

    I'm hearing that the new Clifton is narrow which has wider toe box Clifton gaviota 2 or bondi 7. Something equal to or close to new balance 990 v4

    Great reviews as always. So much detail to your points in comparing shoes. 👍🏼
    Anyone noticing these hoka Clifton 7 feel like there’s a lot of shoes around their foot (compared to brooks)? Is the stack height the reason? I am new to hoka and the Clifton felt like clogs on my feet during the end of my 5 mile run. A brooks glycerin 15 lover and these hoka felt like they did not have the same agility I am used to with Brooks. Thank you

    I wear the Brooks Ghost narrow - would this Clifton be a possibility?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Clifton definitely runs a little wider than the Ghost and they sadly don't make it in a narrow width. I don't know if the Clifton would be a great option.

    Great review....is this a good one for orthotics, should I get wide fit or standard?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for checking out the review. If you take the existing insert out of the Clifton and then slide your orthotic in a standard width should be fine I think. Hope this helps.

    How would you recommend Hoka Clifton 7 against the Asics Gel Kayan 26/27 and the Brooks GTS 20 for road/trail running?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out the review. I would not take the Clifton 7 on the trail really the exposed foam on the bottom would get torn up and affect the durability. The structure of the Clifton is also quite different from the Kayano and GTS. The Clifton is a neutral shoe whereas the Kayano and GTS are in the stability category. Hope this helps.

  • @AmberNixon
    @AmberNixon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tried the Gaviota 2 and the toe box so tight. Ugh. Will the Bondi 7 have a wider toe box? I can always had Superfeet.

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's weird that the Hoka shoes that I feel like could do with some extra toe box width don't seem to offer it. So while the new upper on the Bondi 7 is more breathable and stretchy it does not fit any wider. It does come in widths though but if version 6 was too narrow for you the version 7 may be too.

    What do you think of bondi 7 vs 6 version and atari vs bondi and Clifton 7 thanks current shoe newbalence 990 v4 I have back and metatarsal bisque so what would you suggest or steer me to in the 3 hoka I mentioned thanks

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out the review. Bondi 7 vs 6 is pretty similar mostly upper changes I will be getting a review up in the next few weeks on the Bondi 7. Bondi and Clifton are both neutral shoes where has Arahi is a stability shoe using Hoka's J-Frame technology. If you are currently in the NB 990 I would actually recommend trying the Hoka Gaviota over the other 3 you mentioned because it provides the most similar structure to your 990. Hope this helps.

The wide a little wiggle room better b ut I'm never wore a wide before does this model stretch should I go wide bonds 7 not out yet do dont know which yet but bonds 6 i tried in st and standing you kinda sink backwards is that something that you get used to in time I'm only going to be walking or standing no running for now any input thank you

    Would this shoe still work well with an insole like the power step

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can certainly out an insert in this shoe. The only worry is that sometimes the addition of inserts makes a shoe feel tighter, it all depends on the insert. Hope this helps.
