    I’ve been a nurse for 13 years and these are the best shoes hands down. I’ve worked countless doubles, on my feet for 15+ hours, I weigh around 220# and I have a high arch, causing me to underpronate. So, the thick, wide base of the shoe helps with stability. It’s also lightweight. Wish I found these shoes years ago. No foot pain and no back pain.

    The Bondi 6 are supremely comfortable and light that I bought 3 pairs and have a couple of other Hokas'.
    Use them daily at work on rotation - am in health care, so I walk a whole lot. These shoes are a heaven sent. Also wear them for exercise on weekends.
    Top channel Tom and Meaghan, great review!

      Did you get any tear on the side ? I had 2 pairs, both of them ripped on the same spot. Hope they fixed it.

      Same, as I walk anywhere from 4 - 16 miles daily for work. On most days, I put in about 8K steps but occasionally I'll put upwards of close to 30K steps and on rare occasions, damn near 40K steps. These shoes are amazingly comfortable and worth every penny as some of my other shoes, even the more expensive ones, I would get home and my feet just ache. Haven't had any problems with these.
      @clean lopez I haven't had any problems with the sides ripping as there's a lot of room in the toe box, at least my shoes. I have read that these were cons by other reviewers. That said, I haven't ran in over a decade, used to run every other day 3 - 4 days a week. I'm more walking now, mostly at work but I walk on weekends as well. So far, they've held up but I can definitely see them ripping because of how light the fabric is.

      Yea that is what I have these shoes for, walking. Once a week, I have to do full inspection on multiple buildings. These are great for just those days, but they aren't great for just standing, too much a front biased.

    Great video. I personally have bought this shoe and returned it! When walking in this shoe or a very slow jog the shoe is great and extremely comfortable! But that being said when, in this shoe at a faster pace or for longer miles it feels bulky and heavy. It loses the comfort you get when walking! Great if on your feet all day or u want long walks. Get the Clifton 7 if you want a light fast extremely comfortable shoe that you can use all day walking jogging or running and for long distance! This has been my experience and I’m not sponsored! Hope this helps everyone out there!

    I didn’t believe the hype but now I’m a believer. Wearing 15 wide. 6’3 and around 255lbs. Shoe has every bit of the support it promised, lightweight, wide toe box. Overall great shoe.

    I’m not old but getting older, and the Bondi 6 allowed me to up the mileage without any injuries at all. Definitely not a speed shoe but let’s you push yourself to get out there more often. Not seeing much difference between the 6 and the 7. Upper of 6 is already really comfortable for me. The 6 is currently on sale at Hoka as well. Thanks for the fun review!

    I have a pair of the Bondi 7 and really can't endorse them. First, your analogy of the trampoline is well-taken. Walking on a trampoline is awkward, sort of bouncy, always slightly off balance. That's how I feel in these shoes. I've tried them on the road and, for rainy days, on the treadmill. I'm just a little less steady in the Bondi. They're also heavy. I love my Rincons, light as a feather and easily sufficient cushion, even for a 74-year-old with a knee replacement. The Bondi is about 3.5 oz. heavier than the Rincon. I've been so unhappy with the Bondi that they've become my dog-walking shoes... and they're not even particularly good at that.

  • @highcarbchris7931
    @highcarbchris7931 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    To me it’s unreal how many videos say this shoe is so awesome with max comfort! It only feels great when walking not long runs. The shoe is heavy! Try the running warehouse. You can try a shoe for 90 days if it doesn’t work for you exchange for another shoe!

      I just got mine a few months ago and have had a little bit of trouble with the wideness of the sole. It's hard to explain but I've almost had it catch on things and make me tumble. A little awkward at times. Plus I don't think it's very attractive looking. I feel like I have duck feet when wearing. But it's just taking getting used to. They do seem to get more comfortable the more I wear them.

  • @runhanrunnl

    (Just got a set of Rincon's, nice too! So damn light and fast).

    • @MrJermson

      How abt the enegry return aspect in Bondi 6?

    • @runhanrunnl
      @runhanrunnl 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@MrJermson Hard to say, unless you compare it with some other shoes.
      I think it absorbs a bit more then responsive (firmer) shoes do. However, as I am using them for my long (slow/relaxed) runs, they are very forgiving for the legs. Far lesser fatigue then with a more energetic/responsive shoe.
      So no, not the most energy returning shoe, but certainly not absorbing the energy either.
      ps- the Bondi 7 is releasing...

    • @coachdribbledrive4726
      @coachdribbledrive4726 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Totally agree. The bondi 6 is a workhorse and I'm happy that I just got my second pair after the first pair lasted almost 500 miles (and it was the upper that split, the sole was going strong).
      I use it for my weekly 90-120 minute run and leave the rest of the week to other shoes.
      The 6 is the best Bondi yet, and I've been on the train since the B (and actually still have one pair of original B's that I still run in). The 6 is the first one that tops the original.
      The 4 was a disaster and I got one of the wrongly manufactured 5's that were rock hard.

    LOVED the Bondi 6.... Wanted to buy a backup, but NONE to be found in my women's size 6. You say the Bondi 7 is true to size; would you say it fits JUST LIKE the 6 -- which some said was a slightly larger fit (I was surprised that the size 6 fit so well, as I am usually a 6.5) Should I get the same size 6 in the Bondi 7? Or would you say it runs slightly SMALLER than the Bondi 6? Thanks! Great REVIEW .... I think I"ll be a Bondi Girl for LIFE, unless the mess up the way ASICS did with the Nimbus... js ...

    The Bondi's in my personal opinion are sloppy for runs. Too mushy for me that my feet get lost in the foam on each stride. I also experience foot pain every time I run in them. Had to return. However, they are very comfortable if you're planning on using them for walking. That's the only thing I'd use these shoes for.

      Believe in the Run Many thanks for your reply🙏 I hadn’t imagined how different runners could wear shoes out slower or faster. I’ve heard that the Rincon dies very quickly indeed, less than 200miles!! Me, like so many of us, I want good value for money as well as extreme comfort for our long run shoes!

      Mine are about to be retired. Currently 780k on them. Upper starts to show some wear and tear whereby upper is about to detach some from sole, left shoe, right behind/below beginning of big toe, inner side.

    Very comfortable but I felt like I had to over compensate on my runs to get speed

    I’m always tired af when I run since I also lift but I’m also slow af so I may add the Clifton to my rotation. Nice review.

      While not a doctor, I personally like firmer shoes when plantar strikes.

    Hmm, interesting, meg didn't like the turbo II cause too soft but you did. This seems opposite. I like the feel of the turbo IIs. I'll have to try out the rincon, clifton, bondi when stores open. Still looking for my first hoka.

    “Pick up the pace”, just FYI for “normal” runners, 7min miles is still not “picking up the pace”. These will work for all your runs
