I ended up going with the Mach 4s, absolutely loved them. After about 220 miles, I've burned through part of the first outer layer of foam on one shoe. Wish they would have lasted a little longer, but still tempted to get the same pair!
Bondi is game changer for someone with knee issues. I always had sore knees following runs until I got the Bondi 6 and then Bondi 7. I wish they were lighter, but it's so nice not having knee pain.
I have about 320 miles on my Bondi 7s and absolutely love them! I also have a pair of Mach 4s that I used for a marathon, have about 60 miles on them and like them as well.
I love Bondi 6 , I have 4 pairs of them , I am walking and on my feet for 8 hours 4 days in a week as a health care worker I love the cusioning really support my flat feet and my bunion, and BONDI 6 is really really light like walking in the clouds because of the lightness and a very good quality. l Iove it I will not change my bondi, I will buy the same shoes again and again.
A billion years ago both Nike and ASICS used to have dedicated "walking" shoes but stopped making them. After a billion years of trying different types of shoes I discovered the Bondi 6. I haven't tried the 7 yet because I still have a brand new 6 stached in the closet (it's gold Jerry...It's gold).
The 7 outdoes the 6 by Miles. Awesome shoes! The 8's are out now. Not as tremendous as the 7, but still a great shoe, but I agree, the 6 are pretty terrific as well!.
If you liked the Clifton 6 and 7 you are going to love the Clifton 8, the sole gives better support and the upper is stronger and holds your foot better.

@@slundgr the Rincoln is much lighter and definitely does not have the stack height as the Bondi does. I use the Bondi for long runs and even daily runs when I’m just taking it easy, as it offers more cushion to preserve the joints. I use the Rincoln on my other daily runs when I’m pushing the pace or doing progressive/tempo runs. Thankfully I’ve not had any major injuries, knee or otherwise, but want to remain that way. For me, I try to use the Bondi as much as possible, when on pavement, in hopes of being able to run for all the years to come. Btw, the Rincoln does offer considerable cushioning for as light as it is and I’ve never experienced any issues with them. Simply put, I love them both and will always have them in my rotation. 😃
@@tmoney3198 Thank you very much for the information. I don't run anymore after two ankle surgeries, but I walk every day, often on sidewalks, so I think I will stick with the Bondi. It's light enough for me and has worked for me so far. I like to know what options might be available. Thanks again.

Thanks for this comment Frederic. I have extremely flat feet and some Hoka models I have tried have too much arch support for me. My speedgoats have been life changing for hiking so I'm trying to figure out what the non-trail equivalent is.
@@milesbrown6948 I would say the Clifton with some arch support insoles would work best if you have tried either of them already. Both the Clifton and the Speedgoat have neutral stability and a balanced cushion. I say arch support insoles because the midsole is uniform in density, there is no medial arch support to prevent overpronation. It almost surprises me that the Speedgoats worked for you considering it had neutral stability (meaning the entire midsole is the same). My best guess would simply be that since the speedgoats are meant for hiking/trail running, you're really only using them for softer trails and not concrete. Hiking trails are--in general--easier on your feet and I imagine that is also making a difference for you. But it's really important to take what I say with a grain of salt. As a bodybuilder and runner, I’m interested in the Bondi. I have tried some Hoka’s but really haven’t enjoyed the ride as much as some of the NB lineup, or even the Skechers I’ve tried. Thanks for the reviews!
@@Familyandmuscle I got the Carbon x2 and the Rincon’s. The X2’s feel okay sometimes on faster runs, but the Rincon’s feel like they’re made with lead 😂
I wanna make a choice between the Rincon 3, Clifton 8 and maybe the Asics Noosa Tri 14. I usually participate in 21k events for racing but am mostly gonna use this shoe for training I average about 40-50k per week Long runs (around pace 5 and 1-1:30 in duration), Tempos (around pace 4 and 10-15km in distance) and intervals (around pace 3:30 and 6-10k in distance) Which shoe do you think will suit me best as a daily trainer in terms of comfort and durability?
I am an avid runner, and I’ve been wearing ASICS gel Nimbus and the gel cumulus for decades now. But in the last year, I’ve developed serious pain in the joint of my big toe. It makes it very uncomfortable to even walk let alone run. I believe it’s inflammation in the joint f the big toe from overuse aka Hallux Rigidus. Because I’m not gonna stay off my feet and I won’t stop running until I have to stop running, I am looking for a shoe that has a more rocker style that keeps the pressure off the toes. I read somewhere that the hookah Bond is a good shoe for that. I don’t know who sells them in my area, so I’m just going to order them online, but is this the best shoe that offers of more glider rocker style that alleviates pressure on the toes?
Which would be your favorite for a runner with collapsed arches. I own the Clifton 7’s currently and am training for a half marathon. Started getting pain in the plantar fascia once I started adding tempo runs in.
For a walker (who wants to feel stable) with a really wide, rounder forefoot, narrow heel, painful neuromas, metatarsal problem - which Hoka (or another shoe, like the new NB Form coming out) would you recommend? I'm a neutral runner, female, who has to wear Men's shoes because they come in wider sizes (except the size I truly need is a 7.5, 4E because of a custom orthortic...except maybe due to low drop I might be able to eliminate and go down to 2E. Unfortunately, the Bondi starts at size 8). I used to wear the Brooks Ghost but the forefoot of the 13 turns into a flat tire by the end of the day (a new version is coming out in July. Have you reviewed it?). The front is designed perfectly for my foot shape (Altra not). Sadly the new version of the Glycerin only comes in 2E, which feels great, but is too narrow on the sides....Help.
Just bought the Clifton 7 - I don't like them compared to the 6. They are narrower, and the heel counter is very stiff and uncomfortable compared to the 6. The cushioning is more firm also it seems compared to the 6.
The Hoka One One (whereby the 1 1 is not French! - The shoes are named after the Maori language phrase loosely meaning "fly over the earth") for me is without a doubt the Evo Speedgoat. Followed by the Rincon and the Bondi. Saving up for the Carbon X II.
I was late to the Hoka party, the Clifton 6 was my first and is easily my favourite running shoe of all time. I tried the Rincon on the promise of it being like the Clifton but lighter but not for me, still a good shoe though. Have recently got a pair of the new Rocket X, first impressions are really good but haven’t done any serious miles in them yet to be able to say what sort of runs I will use them for.
Just tried the Mach 4 and went for a 10miles run today...what a shoe!! But now it’s triggering me to break the bank getting the carbon x2 🤣🤣 Great video guys 👊🏼
I like good cushioning on my heels but also don’t want the shoe to tip over on the balls of the feet; so I want good support on the ball too. What Hoka shoe would be good for me? Gaviota?
I think the Bondi is their most cushioned shoe. The Clifton has less cushioning in the forefoot. I used to wear Clifton but now I wear Bondi because of their cushioning
I’m a nurse and I like the Clifton 7 for 12 hour shifts but I feel like the bottom of the shoe rocks too much and makes my legs Sore. I’m looking into getting another pair to alternate. Do you suggest the Bondi 7 or March 4?
Probably gaviota or arahi. Both are stability models. Gaviota is max cushion like the bondi, arahi is medium cushion like the clifton. Stability shoes are good for those prone to injury, though not always the only option. The bondi and bondi x have the most cushion in the heel for heel strikers.
I spend a lot of time on my feet competing playing pool. 8-10-13hr days sometimes. The 3 I had leaned towards were the Clifton Edge, The Mach 4 and Elevon 2. The Elevon 2 has the cleanest all black design, but design wise for the size of my feet I feel like the edge might be best. Any recommendations or suggestions of other brands you'd recommend for my needs? Hoka seems to be highly recommended in my community
Hi I weigh 90+ kg will Bondi 7 will be good pick for daily runs upto 10 kms alternate can buy Rocket X as well as all purpose shoes. On Nike Pegasus 38 I could feel jerks and shin and knee hurt as well as heel sore can't handle stable pace so want to swap. Am Normal Arch and forefoot striker toes almost the high heel drop in Nike wasn't favourable it seems.
Hoka Mach 4 or Skechers Excess? Needed not so much for speed workouts anymore but protection for new hip. Max distance would be 10k. Spend my pension $$......

As a bodybuilder and runner, I’m interested in the Bondi. I have tried some Hoka’s but really haven’t enjoyed the ride as much as some of the NB lineup, or even the Skechers I’ve tried. Thanks for the reviews!
Same boat Brotha which ones did you get?
@@Familyandmuscle I got the Carbon x2 and the Rincon’s. The X2’s feel okay sometimes on faster runs, but the Rincon’s feel like they’re made with lead 😂
Love Hokas
I enjoy the Challenger
But Bondi and many others have helped me train up to some Ultra runs
They are just such great shoes
👍👍👍
3:45 vs. 9:17: You show the Clifton Edge twice, but with different data on price and weight 🥴. Which one is correct? 🙄🤔
I bought myself 1 pair of Hoka Bondi 8 totally Black, and I feel like I just bought me a Rolls-Royce, I love it.
I have the Rincon 2, love it. Run off road a little bit in it too. At 57kg, there’s zero chance that midsole isn’t lasting me ☺️
I never thought of getting a shoe specifically for recovery runs, but that kind of sounds dope to get a prozac shoe 😂
Great vid, guys. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge ❤️
I wanna make a choice between the Rincon 3, Clifton 8 and maybe the Asics Noosa Tri 14.
I usually participate in 21k events for racing but am mostly gonna use this shoe for training
I average about 40-50k per week
Long runs (around pace 5 and 1-1:30 in duration), Tempos (around pace 4 and 10-15km in distance) and intervals (around pace 3:30 and 6-10k in distance)
Which shoe do you think will suit me best as a daily trainer in terms of comfort and durability?
This is the best sneaker channel of all the sneaker channels. 🌟
My brother tried an anti-microbial shoe insole called PodoPhylus. It works! No more smelly feet!
"Bondi...if you don't want to feel anything, this is your Prozac"😂. Well said lmao
Simple and straight foreward. Love it
Any reviews on the ARAHI 4?
You guys were very helpful thank you
Which would be your favorite for a runner with collapsed arches.
I own the Clifton 7’s currently and am training for a half marathon. Started getting pain in the plantar fascia once I started adding tempo runs in.
I love the Bondi, it was recommended to me by my podiatrist
Thanks to this video now I know which HOKA to buy, of course the Bondi
such a useful thorough review thank you!
Such a good review!!! Best review channel there is. Thank you so much, you have decided on my next shoe... or 2 haha
Definitely Clifton 8. Plus plenty of rotation with Saucony Endorphin Speed. Both put together is an excellent recipe of haute cuisine.
Great review guys! Thanks for your amazing work! I'm hoping to see similar review, but for Hoka's trail running shoes as well :)
The Clifton 7 are awesome
I was diagnosed with Bilateral Hallux Limitus (toe pain on flexion) and not sure what shoes are most suitable.
Same here, I was shocked Hoka made such a huge change for the same name shoe, not a Clifton for me. Hoka lost a fan.
I didn’t know it was so many models 🤔 I have plantar fasciitis I stand all day. I’m a Surgical Assistant what kind of shoes should I get???
Just tried the Mach 4 and went for a 10miles run today...what a shoe!!
But now it’s triggering me to break the bank getting the carbon x2 🤣🤣
Great video guys 👊🏼
So many good shoes out right now.
How did the Mach 4 hold up for you? Did you try the carbon x2? I’ve only ever had Cliftons then arahi
Achilles tendinitis which sneaker 👟 u recommend? Need to buy asap thanks
What Hoka shoes would you recommend for Achilles tendinitis and plantas fasciitis?
That's also my question. Hope someone can recommend considering I'm working in a 12 to 16hr shift
Carbon X2 vs Rocket X. Which is a better racer/speed shoe for taller/heavier runners? Anything from 5k to marathon….
Fab review boyz !! TY..
Please tell me the most comfortable cushioned and padded Hoka shoe.
Which one is the best for walking and long standing?
Just picked up a pair of Clifton 7 hoping to ease Achilles tendonitis
I’m all day on my feet. What will be the shoe you will recommend. Thank you and great video
They had GOAT and speedgoat right there for the dovetail!
Swing and a miss
For a shoe that I’m wearing 99% each day for general daily walking out and about and also for the gym, which Hoka would you recommend?
“If you don’t wanna feel anything then this is your Prozac” lol
I like good cushioning on my heels but also don’t want the shoe to tip over on the balls of the feet; so I want good support on the ball too. What Hoka shoe would be good for me? Gaviota?
I think the Bondi is their most cushioned shoe. The Clifton has less cushioning in the forefoot. I used to wear Clifton but now I wear Bondi because of their cushioning
@@slundgr thank you.
Full Mach’s for the Mach 4. Wish Hoka would release it sooner!
I'm coming back from a stress fracture in my foot, and I'm looking for the ultimate cushioning shoe just for walking around at work. Bondi 7? Thanks
Great round up! Also really loving the podcast. It would be great if you could do more than one per week. I’d like one for every run.
Scott Fauble this week!
I’m a nurse and I like the Clifton 7 for 12 hour shifts but I feel like the bottom of the shoe rocks too much and makes my legs
Sore. I’m looking into getting another pair to alternate. Do you suggest the Bondi 7 or March 4?
I wish they would answer this question 🙋♂️
I agree Cindy
Same
Have planter fasciitis and high arch what’s your recommendation. For everyday wear had Clifton and wasn’t impressed
Hoka Bondi is recommended by podiatrists for patients with plantar fasciitis and people who land flat footed too much - good options
What Hoka would you recommend for a middle-aged guy, 170 pounds, heel striker, prone to injury?
If youre a heel striker try a hoka with a bubble butt
@@brushogun2051 bubble butts are nice, thank you
Probably gaviota or arahi. Both are stability models. Gaviota is max cushion like the bondi, arahi is medium cushion like the clifton. Stability shoes are good for those prone to injury, though not always the only option. The bondi and bondi x have the most cushion in the heel for heel strikers.
Hoka One One is based on a Māori language phrase meaning "fly over the earth".
I was confused why they said it was French for something. It’s not French sounding at all!
Is the Bondi 8 the only shoe they make in 4E width? If yes, do you know if they have any plans for others in 4E?
I had foot surgery and need rocker shoes but can't find any. My toe hurts with what I have.
Do y'all think the Mach 4 is coming in wide?
I spend a lot of time on my feet competing playing pool. 8-10-13hr days sometimes. The 3 I had leaned towards were the Clifton Edge, The Mach 4 and Elevon 2. The Elevon 2 has the cleanest all black design, but design wise for the size of my feet I feel like the edge might be best. Any recommendations or suggestions of other brands you'd recommend for my needs? Hoka seems to be highly recommended in my community
Mach 4 or cabon x2 ? If i have to buy one
Why did Hoka throw the Mach 4 out for reviews so many months before it's release? They're a big tease
HOKA doesn't have embargoes on shoes (which we love). We have a ton of other shoes from other brands that we're not allowed to show until January.
@@Believeintherun Now you're the big tease 😱 Looking forward to the review
Which one would be good for standing a long period of time
The Orange one says it’s a CLIFTON EDGE printed on the video. Is that correct?
Feel like I'm going to be returning the ons i just ordered for one of these😅 really like how the arahis look
Love your channel and just got into running. Where did you get the shoe racks
Amazon
Love the summary review of the whole line. Can you please do that with other brands (Nike, brooks, new balance, etc)?
We definitely plan on doing more. Thanks for watching!
Small thing but I like to have a black tread. Car tire would be nice. If HOKA could put that under a Rocket or Carbon X....
Hoka Mach 4 or Skechers Excess? Needed not so much for speed workouts anymore but protection for new hip. Max distance would be 10k. Spend my pension $$......
