Something I’ve always really appreciated about the Project Cars games is the ability to drive any car on any track even if you haven’t “unlocked” it in Career. Sometimes I don’t feel like grinding through races just to see more content… sometimes I just simply want to drive and have fun.
and you dont think the game lacks the money in every race you win and if and when you win an entire serie and becomes the champ you only get XP and and a video that congrats you as the champ and if you lvl up by becoming the champ you also get price money and the common XP . but not given a car as reward at ANY time , and all races gives the same amount of price money , you dont think that stinks in any way ? its very common to gain price money for each race you win and even gain pole position money and get cars as reward for making progress in other car games like , gran turismo and forsa motorsport also for mention a few veichle racing games with better out come when winning races .
@@stigtuneback1966 Not really. There are plenty of other games you can play if you want the satisfaction of unlocking new content.

but , why you play a car racing game for in the first place , get price money by win race and win an entire serie get a car as reward , price money and pole position money , dont you find that more attractive than the few things you get for win in PC 3 ? @@cristhian900
And they got the balls to still charge full price 2 years after it flopped

i think they are right on calling it a spiritual successor to Nfs Shift, but it will never be the same as shift, i realized they kept some aspects of the old circuits from Shift 1, the first one where in the video one car chases another car, idk how that circuit is called here, but in Shift it was the London River circuit which is similar (there was a wallpaper of a dodge viper from Shift 2, and i think it was taken on that same location of the circuit), second circuit i saw it has that dry terrain vibe from the willow springs circuit, and the other one in a desert? obviously being Ambush Canyon which was my favorite among all, even the terrain in many other circuits remain similar, also something lovely which made Shift a unique game apart from the gameplay were the liveries, they were created just for the game, in was not until shift 2 came that the team started adding liveries from real life like the GT1 liveries, no other game has managed to replicate the sense of speed in Shift 2, neither this one, but in terms of look, effects specially in the climate, for me i approve this game, it feels like a successor of shift, but of course both are different, and what the devs needs to understand, is that they don't always have to make promises, if they don't even know what they are trying to achieve, the same happened with Master X Master for example also for PC, people didn't knew if the game was a moba, rpg, or just a top view shooter game with dungeons, at the end people lost interest and sadly it closed, also there's a name for that distinction between simulation and arcade which is "SimCade", it sounds a bit stupid but apparently it's a thing, and you know, Shift was called with that term before, but when Shift 2 released, everyone stopped using it and realized that the game was not a joke anymore, as others have said, the only game where everyone was afraid to go fast haha.
I'd like to ask the developers who made this decision to alienate the fans, was it worth it? I really want to know. Was your sales improved, did you get those non sim players you wanted? My guess is not
Project Cars 3 was such a flop that pretty much killed the franchise. We would never see another PC game ever again. So yea... Sacrificing their hardcore fanbase in favor of "Inclusivity" "Accessibility" and "Approachable" not only didn't caught the interest of those casuals and newest racing game fanbase, but also neither caught the attention of the hardcore audience who loved this franchise for what it was
I just picked it up on sale. One thing I hate is a stupid red crash effect and weird noise in cockpit view. Did you trun this off, is there a way to remove this? Always liked PC 2. Thanks

i got the deluxe edition for 19$, i see the standard edition goes for 12$ if you buy it outside of steam.

actually i love it, it really is the "NFS Shift 3" i've always wanted.
yeah its not Project cars 1 or 2 (and i played both of these as well), but it fits that niche that NFS Shift filled for a short while a decade ago
and for me, that's pretty darn nice.

I like the rivals mode I project cars 3 as I've not got to much time to play game. having daily/weekly and monthly challenges gives me something to do in the short amount of time I have
Question to say m racers: while I fully sympathize with the devs pulling the carpet out from under you, aren't there enough sim-focused games these days?
I remember when it was just GTR and Richard Burns, but now there are 2 Asetti Corsas, I-racing, RFactor, Automobilista 2, BeamNG, Dirt Rally and my personal favorite, Raceroom.
Even the MotoGP games are more sim than arcade.
For a relatively niche market, that's a pretty good offering these days.

If the gameplay and physics of the car is similar to GT Sport or GT 7, and if the AI handicap can be disabled, I'd be encouraged to buy it. Now if he keeps skidding around any corner like in PC2 like the track is covered in oil, (speaking of which we use a controller) then I pass. I'm sticking with PC2 even though I can't play the rain events because of the frozen tire bug.

Project cars 3 is amazing fun
but it REALLY LACKS the gain for the player overall , gran turismo and forsa motorsport has all that PC 3 misses., lacks .

I’ve always liked pc3. I understand the problem everyone has with it, and would understand it being called project cars x (rather than 3, due to de differences with its predecessors), but it gave us something different from gran turismo and Motorsport, and that was cool. Had the reception been different, with constructing criticism instead of just criticizing it because of it being something else, and we would have a sick pc4, in the middleground between 1, 2 and 3 and giving a headache to the developers in gt7 and fm8 (which they need, given the reception both games have had). It’s a shame that “small” studios can get littered just for giving us something different to what we expected (even though we were warned, and the fact that the quality of the final product was good)
Project Cars 3 - I have the game - and I will agree this is not a Project Cars 1 or 2 racing game. Because we seem to have to unlock cars and there arre goals to achieve which PC1 and 2 do not have, this makes Project Cars 3 game more Arcade-ish. Although there is a way to select any car to race in single race mode, but they still do not get unlocked.
Racing with the AI - There are some vehicles that are drivable/raceable and some that are ridiculous/terrible with their default settings. I think the people that designed PC3 likes the vehicles to do drifting in the corners. Several of the tracks are from real named race tracks, but how accurate they are, would have no idea. Its a game.
I purchased the game because it provides VR support and I knew from reviews that the game would be an Arcade-ish game. I am not fussy, it is another racing game to be entertained for a while. I prefer Project Cars 2 for more serious racing and it also has VR. PC2 also has bugs and quirks in it. I only do offline racing with the AI.

Game would've made more money if it wasn't titled Project Cars 3. More money means they'd be able to make a better arcadish game bc this sucked
if youre coming from the standpoint of a simcade racer then yeah, the game is fine.
but we supported slightly mad for a straight up sim. we gave funding for a sim.
there are dozens of need for speeds and to us, they're all the same. good sims are far and few though
they betrayed their fans and backers for a mediocre game that no one wanted.
so if you enjoy simcades then sure, im sure youll like pc3 but.. you already have so many options
Lets just hope they end up bringing Automobilista2 to consoles. The game PrC 3 should have been.
Shame, we finally got a decent sim for console and 2 games in they sell out and make just another racing game.
I picked this up for £5 new and its STILL terrible. Its to sim in handling to be arcade and has none of the stuff to make it a sim, its the worst of both worlds.

You say that devs turned to arcade because of atracting new fans to the game..Ok,seems logical but at no sense is logical that after you buy it you must UNLOCK practically all the contest!Don't know about PC2 but in the first versiion everything was coming FOR FREE.Sadly but it became like a bloody mobile game.

wasnt this too similar to driveclub and shift except it has customization and shitty handling, the game was actually good but it shouldnt be titled "Project cars 3" if its not about sim racing

One more - “formula style cars drifting around Monza does not equate to a sort of some sort of not- it’s pure carnival little kids game maybe a step above Mario cart

Dude come on this is one of the worst racing games ever released. It’s more akin to a to a mobile phone game. It’s an absolute clown show. There is nothing decent or acceptable in this game. Add that to it was a sim racing game in 1 and 2 and the dbag ceo of SMS said many times Cars 3 would be the most authentic pure sim racer in console history.
I’m not a Gran Tursimo sycophant on any level but GT is hands down a better more sim experience.
