I feel like this game is perfect for BlackPanthaa's audience, its aimed at people who enjoy going fast and car culture but aren't necessarily racers. That's not a bad thing, but I think SMS would have got much less hate if they made this a spin-off instead of a direct sequel.

The customization is like Grid meets drive club and sprinkle in NFS-Shift.
I feel like it'd be better to drop the number from the game's title and instead give it some sort of a subtitle to differentiate it from the first two games, instead of calling it as a sequel to them. This game clearly doesn't aim to build upon what the previous games did, but instead aims to tackle an entirely different genre of racing games.
Or just call it drive club 2
Fun fact, it was supposed to be named project CARS revolution, and looking at it now, it makes more sense

The trailer had me a little paranoid. But the game-play did seem promising to me.
Also this game to be a shift successor is a bit of a bold claim tbh. It was basically a no nonsense simulator with god like crash physics and handling

The car models are the same used in the first game, they have no relation to him
@@Flowermouth not all vehicle assets are reused, for next project they always improved the geometry and shader, as you can see all the design team now from ex driveclub becouse the main SMS team working on F&F

Someone turned off Anti-aliasing in the settings and they shipped the game that way it seems. They need a hotfix to turn AA back on.
This looks interesting for sure! Seeing the series take a whole different direction isn't a bad thing in my opinion. I'm gonna miss the Sims tho, Project Cars was always my go-to sim on the pc. Especially the VR part was amazing. But I guess its great to hear so many good things about this new game. I'm looking forward to try it out myself!

Am I sad that Project Cars is no longer a hardcore sim? Yes. However, I’m more happy that Driveclub and Shift live on. We still have PC1/2 and AC though. Not to mention it has VR compatibility on PC. We lost a couple things, but gained so much more

First time playing a Project Cars game and I’m in love with Forza and Driveclub, this game has me hooked! So glad I bought it and gave it a crack.
Honestly I’m just glad that we can finally drive a C8 until Forza gets it or The Crew 2

I have and love it so far as I’ve the digital deluxe edition (includes season pass)... idk why though the windows during post race have numerous white dots in it (I’m guessing it’ll be getting fixed in future patches... mine is version 1.02 and I got it fully installed 12 hours before it got unlocked for play)...
This looks like it'd be a great let's play. The best part of watching is seeing the player enjoy themselves. Looking forward to seeing more if you decide to make it happen. Also please go back and put those Wantanabe's on. With that wrap (and the tofu that's CLEARLY in the trunk) it's not an option.
This game seems like an insane amount of fun, and I'm very excited for this. Nice to have some good news in the racing game community after the death of Ghost.

If Shift 2 was a god, I'd worship it all day long
while the game seems fun, imho the graphics are really underwhelming. Lighting, texture, and anti-aliasing seem not great. This looks more like an early 2010s racer graphics wise. Additionally, I think that the UI is very reminiscent of mobile games.

I dont mind if it's sim or not, I just wish the devs were straight up about it. They keep trying to say that it's still a sim but it's obviously not
the approach too man, they literally said "we took out tire changes/compounds and fuel porcentage to make a game more exciting and racing forward" why would you say that to a sim comunitty??

@@dma968 im not its weird because shifting to simcade/arcade really shouldn't affect the graphics and car models that much but instead the game looks really bad optimized, lacks character and personality, everything is inconsistent

It's like Most Wanted 2012. Both MWs are beautiful in their own way, but 60% of MW2012's hate only exists because of something as simple as the name of the game. If the called it "Need For Speed: Burnout" the game's only flaw would be its sea of Pushy MMO-style DLC .

It’s not the name. It’s that instead of spinning this off, like Horizons from Forza, it completely replaces the sim. SMS haven’t grown the brand. They have just traded one niche for another.
This game isn't that good even as a arcade racer. Yes I was excited to hear that they were going down an arcade type of handling. Like project cars 1&2 had good sounds, car models, tracks but the handling was awful with a controller. And now they made it handle better but downgraded the graphics, car models, and sound. Like wtf? How do you not take the best things about project cars and put them into this game...

the first race in the desert, i was expecting to see the old bridge in the middle of the Ambush Canyon circuit, sadly the circuit was cut by 50%, the helmet cam looks good btw.
*Overtakes everyone in like 1 corner and then spends the rest of the race driving laps all alone with no pressure from the AI* "i'm enjoying this!" lol
Also i think ppl misinterpret jimmy a lot, he's said he enjoys arcade games (i mean he regularly returns to GT2 and BeamNG come on lol) but he didn't think of it as a good arcade game either, he wasn't saying "it's not a sim anymore i hate it"... and you can see why when the AI is so weak that it's barely even a game to beat them anymore they're just a minor inconvenience to you...

The game handles well, it has good car sounds, good content and does things in a more accessible way which is different.
Not bad, but different.
But the console graphics really are a disgrace it's horrible.
Sometimes the game will just pop up random barriers at the track were it was cut off or white blocks appear on the road textures.
Driving with rain is the worst as the game transforms into a ps1 game, it's really bad and I don't get it because I know they can do it better.
Project cars 1 and 2 are better looking on consoles while having the same engine, content and systems.
Unfortunately pcars 1 and 2 have bad single player and controller support though

From a technical view PC3 does nothing different than pc1 or 2 but we got an enormous downgrade right there.

Unfortunately the graphics and sounds were a downgrade but if you view it as as a simcade racer to hold you out until next gen it seems like a great game.

can see the jaggies on the video. Im excited for this game, I loved shift and pro street, I have a background in playing sims but these days Im done with sims, arcade-sim is the way, Horizon, NFS Heat, etc are my go to's these days. The games are actually enjoyable as video game, sit and play for for 30 minutes or so twice a week and go on with your life.
