Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. The game released for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024.
Kill the Justice League is the fifth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series, taking place five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight, and the first not to feature Batman as the main protagonist, though the character still appears, posthumously voiced by Kevin Conroy in his final performance as Batman. Based on the DC Comics supervillain/anti-hero team the Suicide Squad, the game revolves around the titular team of super-criminals, who are assembled by Amanda Waller and sent to Metropolis to stop the alien invader Brainiac and save the members of the Justice League brainwashed by him.

As it should be. This was a deep Aaa game chalk full of meaty content. The world, the graphics, gameplay and other aspects are solid 8’s and 9’s. And the character design of the joker is the best ive seen since keith ledger’s joker. The way they k’lled off the league especially Batman was a chef kiss.

I love how the Joker's art style doesn't even match the rest of the characters. This game can literally do NOTHING right. Just remember that the developers from Rocksteady that ACTUALLY made the Arkham games have their own studio now called Hundred Star Games. Follow THEM for more things of similar quality to the Arkham series because Rocksteady is dead.
In Poland we have werb: if socialists starting ruled Sahara Desert, month later they will started importing sand. And every know what „consultants” (sjw) have big part in creating this game.

I remember when games had QA. Nowadays you can get Gamers to pay to QA the game for you and call it “Early Access”.
Where the fuck are the creative writers? JUSTICE LEAGUE is in the name of the game. How about they take us to Mars and genuinely unique biomes and new gods locations where there are alternate versions of the league and we get to see absent members like martian manhunter, aquaman, cyborg, etc.
They ain't in the room that's why. Like this literally was people using famous characters and being as LAZY AS THEY COULD BE when it comes to them and the game. Like you have tons of freedom with the multiverse and tons of source material to be inspired by. Like it's takes some audacity to reject all of that and still think the stuff you did 5 mins before it was do is better.
not working for companies like WB and their affiliates, because they know their creativity will get drowned under a torrent of useless crap like sensitivity readers and focus groups, trying to make sure it has the 'broadest possible appeal'.... which basically makes it impossible to really be creative in the end.
Being creative means pushing boundaries, which means inevitably someone is not going to like what you made. That's not really a bad thing, those people can go find something they do like and no hard feelings... but such is life. But you can't do that anymore while working for a big corporation, they're too risk averse for that, they're the ones creating the boundaries. So all the truly talented writers have distanced themselves from the big corporations.
You can't have creativity if your walking on eggshells, being told what you can and cannot write in order not to "Offend" someone somewhere. A.I. might as well do it at that point.
I think they've all but given up. Even their chief financial officer recently admitted the game fell short of expectations
Things will only get worse until people stop defending this garbage. But that will never happen.
The rest of the team is working on their CVs before the studio gets absolutely gutted!!!

Rocksteady has too good of a resume to get gutted. Warner Brothers will be keeping them around for sure. If they planned to gut the studio, it would have already happened like with Forspoken, Immortals of Aveum, etc. all happening *instantly*.
And many of the people that worked on this game already have stellar CVs. They got the character designers from Last of Us, Star Wars Jedi, etc., many people who worked on the critically-acclaimed Arkham games (of course), etc. No reason to get rid of these guys, it's an incredible studio.

To be fair, AssAssIn's Cheek have been doing that a lot too. Thankfully, you can disable 'em in the menu.

This game just looks like a massive empty playground with no actual cohesion to the levels
And it’s _so hideous._ Not in a super-grainy or washed out kind of way, obviously, but in a visual diarrhea kind of way. The animations are smooth, the textures are smooth, but it’s _so loud._ It actually hurts to watch. Seriously, _how_ did this get anywhere near playtesting, let alone past it? The story is painfully bad, the gameplay is painfully repetitive, the game looks just as painful as it is to actually play. I can’t get over how awful this whole game is on every single level, there’s zero redeeming qualities.

@@escopeteroce Yeah but the game is uncharacteristically Rocksteady. They made singleplayer focused games and then this. It was canceled once, so it feels more like a warner bros move than a rocksteady choice. However most likely Rocksteady will be blamed for not making the money milking game the execs hoped for.
My theory is that they are deliberately trying to kill it.
They are under contract with WB to produce X amount of seasons for the game. But if they can kill off the remaining players enough then their hope is that WB will finally pull the plug themselves and Rocksteady won't be in breach of their contract.
Just a theory but..... how else can a recognised studio that made the Arkham games be putting out this much trash.

There's like a few hundred people playing now. Still sub 1K but now it's not in the low 200 for a while. Though it still drops to sub 100 in the middle of the night.

Im actually upset they delisted that game. It wasn’t very good but I definitely would’ve played 15-20 bucks for it, the combat loop was fun and the characters did play differently and if you enjoy those characters it’s even better. Meanwhile this trash about characters NO ONE likes is still around well after everyone shit on it and it had far far less players than avengers ever did. I guess WB just has more funding to keep garbage on the market longer

There are a couple DC comic stories in recent years that use the genderbend idea, like one of the Death Metal stories and one with Teen Titans. I say, mix things up a bit.

The 'we don't have the time to finish the cutscenes, so let's just turn the animatics into cutscenes' move is something you see a lot. Off the top of my head, I remember DMC: Devil May Cry doing it. It's always a pretty clear indicator of cheap DLC they had to cut corners on. Which is all season passes are, by the way, they're just DLC pre-orders.
This game will forever be a reminder to me of my embarrassment and shame for pre ordering the deluxe edition. NEVER again.

The UI of the game never bothered me too much, it's just how bright everything is. Whenever you're in combat there are so many bright flashes that I can hardly tell what's going on while watching you play.

Just realized that that arena fight is literally just the Ender Dragon arena from Minecraft.

They did Flash (main game), Green Lantern (Joker update), Superman (last update)....next will be Batman (Mr Freeze update???)....but then? They'll redo them all over again? (if there's some player left in this game anymore)
To do that, we'll need to not only ask Cocksteady but the shills paid, seethed (still are) on how we are dead "wong" for not having faith in this game.
