I’m 80 years old and have been sitting on my behind for several years. I am motivated to try this. I know I can’t do the one standing on one leg with the other extended but the others look doable. So I am making a commitment to start in a limited way tomorrow. Somebody please hold me accountable.

Hi, try to aim for just 10mn or even 5mn to start. And slowly add a few minutes. Make sure to always listen to your body. If it doesn't feel right (=if it hurts) STOP. And remember that no one ever said after a workout "I wish I hadn't done it". Think about how proud of yourself you'll feel afterwards. Sending you positive vibes from France 💜 You can do this 👍
PS : I'm a personal trainer by the way 😉

80 year old Mama M again. Hard to believe but 22 years ago I rode my bicycle 3600 miles across the USA. Rode across the Rockies and didn't have to push my bike but the Cascades were a different story. Went east to west. I'm here I am 22 years later practically crippled from inactivity. Let that be a lesson to you all.

I regularly exercise - aerobics, Pilates and yoga. I discovered Qigong about 3 years ago when I was going through anxiety and was prescribed it by my doctor/therapist. I usually do it at the end of my exercise session as a cool down and for my mind. It has helped me a lot. I found your videos and have been doing them occasionally. However, I just discovered this one and I have to say of all the ones I have done, this one had me sweating. I felt like I got not just a workout but got that wonderful relaxing feeling afterwards. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness in making this available for us all. Blessings to you!

Sir, you have made a huge difference to my life and recovery from total knee replacement surgery. I could not imagine standing on one leg, circling the knee of the other and moving my hands at the same time, but I can do it just 12 weeks after surgery! I can not thank you enough if I had a thousand lives to live. Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to share your knowledge and experience.

I did it! It took a few weeks, but I finally managed the whole routine. :3
With my energy levels, fatigue, and arthritis, it's a bit difficult to do entire routines like this, but doing SOMETHING really helps and this is so gentle. The frog was particularly difficult because my heart rate actually changes SUPER quickly when I go up and down like that to the point where I faint. I eventually figured out how slow I have to go on that one to prevent that from happening and instead of jumping, I just stretch up onto my toes like I do in ballet. Stretching routines are really important to me, but it's boring to keep doing the same ones all the time, so I'm glad I'm able to add this one to my list of things I can do to maintain my body.

Brother Thich Man Tue, Thank you for these Qigong routines. I was a nurse at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, CA for most of my career. A group of monks from Deer Park Monastery toured the hospital shortly after opening in 2000. It's a small world! I'm retired from nursing. I'm a Tai Chi instructor now. We follow your Qigong routines for warm up prior to intermediate class; Yang 24 and Sun 73.
Do you have a 5 Element Qigong routine? That would be a perfect practice for Tai Chi.
    May your Chi flourish!
