    Today at the end of the session I cried, I guess is years of neglecting my body and just focusing in high strength body exercises rather than mind and soul. Thanks again! 🙏

      Wow ! Really ??? I feel you !!!
      Just recently my body started complaining after western exercise, and I started having weird issues all of a sudden. Then intuitively I was guided to to Qi gong ! Never imagined myself doing slow movements instead of fast and exerting western exercise which took its toll to my body ! It seems my body recognized the minute I started Qi gong and flowed with it naturally!!!

      Hi Oralia. The first time I did restorative yoga tears were flowing down my face because I wasn’t sure if it was ok to love my body like that, it almost felt selfish to be caring for myself. And just learning how we neglect ourselves; it’s sad, but this teacher and people like him can show us the way. I think at least. Blessings-

      @deepdiver849 Thanks for helping me realize the importance of qi gong and non-western exercise movements again. I practiced, but there was little voice in my head this morning urging me to do western strength training and I’m realizing that it doesn’t have to be either/or, but it’s possible to incorporate both practices into a routine. Western exercises definitely tense up the body in sometimes unnatural ways and flowing movements like qi gong can move things back to a great place

    • @mindfulmomentswithColm
      @mindfulmomentswithColm ปีที่แล้ว

      Western exercise usually involves training muscles less than movement. That way it isn't completely functional until those muscles are put into practise/sport. Then the goal is competition and never enjoyment of the exercise. So qi gong helps to bring balance and awareness into our selves and builds harmony within the body. It can be challenging and strength building, and also gentle and healing... I have found neigong/standing meditation to boost my internal awareness/qi if you want to take this further.

    This is amazing! I am suffering from pain for almost 4 months now, from my head, neck, shoulders, arms, elbows, upper and lower back, hips, thighs, and down to my knees. I can’t stretch the way you do but I tried my best. I tell you, after the exercise, I felt great! I am determined to do this everyday. I want the pain to go away and be healed completely one day. Thank you so much! I appreciate this and all the wonderful people here, especially you! Blessings to all. 🙏❤️

      Keep doing Qi Gong and look into Tai Chi. Very healing for the body. I saw a program where many gave up on Western Medicine had great success with these practices. And meditate to calm your mind. The body stores stress and inflammation causes havoc, releasing stress and freeing energy does wonders.

    Thank you, this is wonderful for balance and coordination from the centre, especially for someone my age (68), and I always enjoy the massage to finish.
