Found out I had COPD a year ago, and got put on oxy. Did fine until I started getting pneumonia, was aspirated P., happened several times, then from that going to hosp. for couple weeks, then I had a replacement shoulder, and got pneum, again. (there is more times too) After being in hosp., found out I had a Hiatal hernia, then more pneum., then yesterday after going to pulmonary dr., found out my stomach is behind my heart.....and that isnt helping me breathe. I use a walker, so am so glad to have something I can do at home..!! Believe me, theres more, but this is enough! Oh, forgot, am going to turn 82 on the 20th, and cant go thru surgery for hernia and stomach because of oxy. levels...Sorry this is so long, but will watch and pray for help from you!

I’m so happy you are doing this. My Pulmonologist hasn’t said a word about pulmonary rehab. This will help so much. Thankfully, my belly goes out when I breathe in.

I want to thank you for this video. I am a covid 19 survivor. I was hospitalized for 90 days/62 of those days i was on a ventilator. Since being discharged, it has been a fight to recover. I have a paralyzed diaphragm (right side only), bronchiectasis, and lung scarring. My pft's are diminished. I went through pulmonary rehab, but it was just a graded exercise program. Breathing wasn’t even discussed. I am going to use your at home rehab series & see if it helps. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I have just gone through this video in search of hope like breathing normally as I am going through Lung GVHD after Bone Marrow Tranplant..Using oxygen concentation ..having shortness of breath..just want to have normal breath..Practised it for the first time..Hoping for the best for myself and for all here..Thank you..

I thought breathing in AND out through the nose was the way to go, due to the NO effect. NO created in the sinus cavities, so exhaling through nose makes sense to me.

Thank you for your help. I like the way you do breathing. However, I could not do it the same way you did that to breath with the stomach. I tried but could not get it the way you did.

I have never smoked. I’m 75 now & just diagnosed with C Emphysema. I was diagnosed with asthma & COPD over 25 years ago. I was told I most likely was born with asthma. My mother also had asthma. All this time no one has taught me about breathing properly. However, I am a stomach breather due to I used to be a singer before I was diagnosed with permanent vocal cord damage.

  • @marypsych1

I wanted to thank you so much for this video. I have chronic fatigue and breathing has gotten worse over time. I’m sure this will help. So kind of you to post these videos.

I have never been a smoker. I got COVID June if ‘22 from traveling. I was actually worse than I thought I was. The resulting long COVID that I didn’t realize I had, ganged up withe last falls’s Omicron strain COVID vaccination booster. Exactly a week later I began having trouble breathing, mostly when I bent (sideways especially) or exerted myself. I nearly passed out several times. An ER trip sent me home with a big, stationary in-home oxygen concentrator, and a “portable” oxygen tank on a two wheeled caddy that was like pushing a vacuum cleaner everywhere I went A follow up with my primary, including a handheld, electronic “quick and dirty” pulmonary function test, and I learned that I have both obstructive
