  • A discussion of things to avoid for people who have pulmonary fibrosis or interstitial lung disease. I start with ways to quit smoking if that is an issue, avoiding work based exposures to dusts and fumes, using protective masks, being careful with "indoor" pollution, avoiding confirmed triggers, such as mold or birds (if applicable) and managing gastro-esophageal reflux (acid reflux).

Thank you so much for this information, Dr. Stefan. I am 70 years old and diagnosed with ILD from RA over a year ago. I found you on youtube recently and have been binge watching your videos. They are really helping me to understand what's going on in my lungs and how to do things better. Candles, air fresheners, etc. going into the trash. Thank you!! ❤️

Hello Dr Stefan. I hear a lot about enzymes reducing fibrin issues. Could you please make a video with your thoughts on such supplements to reduce IPF progress? Thank you.

I am on o2 therapy for pf. I got pf while hospitalized with covid. I have 2 questions. 1. Is pf from covid progressive. I have read that it is, but there really isnt alot of info. 2. Im losing my medicaid. Since i will no longer be able to afford treatment, i am probably stopping my o2 therapy. Right now, i use it 24/7. I am at 85 spo2 at rest without supplemental o2. 70ish during activity. If I stop using o2, will this exacerbate my pulmonary fibrosis?

GURD, raise the head of the bed on 6 inch bricks. This will form a slope. It is more comfortable than a wedge pillow. When you sleep on your side. Sleeping on LH side is better the RH, as the stomach is lower.

Dude... smoking is a physical addiction first. When I quit cold turkey (in 2016) after 26 years. It was just like getting off of opioids some years earlier. It IS physical. I can attest to that. 3 months, it took, to get normal - just like opioids. Then another year of seasons to get mentally right.
