How Inside Out 2's Success Could Affect Pixar

- Pixar's newest movie, Inside Out 2, has been performing excellently at the box office, quickly becoming both the highest grossing film of 2024, and the first successful Pixar movie since Toy Story 4 in 2019. However, this has made me very concerned for Pixar's future, as we could end up getting more and more sequels from them in the future due to this movie's success.

It scares me, Pixar is already in a creative slump so seeing them head towards another sequel driven decade makes me very worried. I hope Elio becomes a success because it might be the last chance for original Pixar stories to prove themselves.

I think they’re gonna set Elio up to fail by not marketing it as much as they should.
Looks like Studio Ghibli is the only hope left for original movies. Because all their movies and ideas are completely original, no sequels at all. No sequels allowed in the world of Studio Ghibli's movies. These are just my thoughts. I am also a My Neighbor Totoro and a Kiki's Delivery Service person when it comes to Studio Ghibli's movies.
That and Sony Pictures Animation.

Nah, Gibli also is losaing it North, The witch movie was really bad, even was apparently made without interest. And their last movie even though had praise, lets be honest,didnt Made something new and even rips off films like Totoro or specially Sspirited Away.
Cartoon Saloon might be the best one, but it still feels like they're taking baby steps when their best movie, The Breaswinmer, was out long time ago.
I honestly felt that those "original" movie werent more than the most expensive therapy sessuins of their directors, their self inserted 170+ million dollar project. Being that personal that they felt alienating

Before I watched Zerex video on inside out 2 I went to the theaters to watch inside out 2 and I did liked it and I did like that Mindy kaling didn't reprice the role of Disgust and man her animated roles before Velma were not bad and I can see why Zerex would be worried about sequel bad original movies good

ATSV was the first movie in a long time that made me feel something that actually stayed with me days after watching it

Looking back at their sequels from the 2010s, a lot of them were pointless and disappointing with the exception of mu and cars 3, Toy Story 3 doesn’t count because it was the last masterpiece to come out of the golden era of Pixar

Like it's kinda also you're fault that sequels like Inside out 2, Kung-Fu Panda 4 and so on do well and original movies like Ruby Gillman, Wish Migration, Elemental and so on did poorly. and if they make toy story 5,6,7... I just won't watch them. Easy. You hate sequel? Perfect than don't watch any sequels at all and watch only original movies like the wild robot, Elio, ducks and so on.
