I unironically have more respect for David Zaslav and Warner Bros. Discovery than I do for Nickelodeon at this point. If you get mad at me for saying that, then you don't understand the severity of this situation. A couple movies getting cancelled is nowhere near as bad as this. Please take this seriously FFS.

While I do believe that people should stand up against the studio (not just because of the cartoons that get fucked over by them [that people actually care about], but because they got away with letting Schneider get away with all of this shit for a decade and a half[?] because he gave them money and success), personally I don't think you can never let any child watch these shows again, and I especially wouldn't lump the older stuff like Drake and Josh into the same pile as Game Shakers and Henry Danger, and then compare them to letting kids watch Elsagate.
Kids won't get that Schneider's a fucked up man with fucked up views. Kids wouldn't want to know that the people who made these were pedophiles and/or groomers.
They wanna watch their funny sitcoms, and despite everything Schneider has done, it was kind of a situation where he had a Midas Touch.
Everything he had a hand in was like gold back then, which possibly also resulted in other shows that he wasn't involved with (like Ned's Declassified) getting that same sorta energy down just by virtue of Nick giving the people running most of the sitcoms more creative freedom and attention than their animation side.
The reason why Nick cut ties with him was basically because his sitcoms (starting around 2010-ish) were progressively getting more and more unfunny to the point where you could actually lump the last few into the Elsagate pile and not have much of a difference.

In a nutshell: Kids can still be able watch the shows by Schneider's Bakery, but it's extremely fuckin dependent on the quality of them. Drake and Josh good, Henry Danger shit.

I think it's extremely hard NOT to talk about something related to them to be perfectly honest.
Less-so the sitcoms (I could care less about them), I mean literally everything else.
Just because someone's technically feeding into the big bad company doesn't exactly mean they shouldn't be able to in order to hold the studio accountable.
I can still be like: "Oh look there's a Nick All Star Brawl 3 and it's shaping up to be the best one yet" and still condemn most of the shit they do (or just not give a flying fuck since most of their original content nowadays is unmemorable filler that's inevitably gonna get cancelled when trying to face the great Sponge/Loud Wall). You don't need to be shaming everyone for talking about the new.
(also I don't think most Avatar fans will really care about the Netflix show since it's mediocre garbage so that's also a thing)
hell, Piracy is always an option. NASB 2 has stuff that could turn a lot of people off like the higher price and shit, so people sometimes feel like they should probably pirate it so that they can still have the full experience on the cheap.

Yeah. I agree. I'll still watch their animated and (some) live-action shows, but I'm done caring for Nickelodeon, alongside Cartoon Network, Disney (the television units), Netflix and WBA after failing to stop the purges and watching Quiet on Set. Xilam is now my last animation powerhouse left.
I know I say this before, but I'm just... done. And either way, indie animation is the future for cartoons.
A voice actor of Ned's Declassified said on a private video that they were gonna make a sequel series to Ned Declassified but they couldn't because of the success of Schiender's Bakery shows in the 2000s

Isn't it possible that the animation community isn't talking about Quiet on set because those shows aren't animation? At this point, there are hundreds, if not thousands of vids about quiet on set and the drama sorrounding it. And many of them aren't talking about it necessarily because they care, just because they want to capitalize the drama.

Nickelodeon is still getting away with it by having Henry danger having a movie coming soon on paramount + but without Dans approval. They moved spongebobs 25th anniversary to July instead of may due to Quiet of set and the writers strike which they are trying not to feel guilty and try to recover sadly. It’s dumb that nowadays production companies can sweep things under the rug and never be the same afterwards but just use money and power to ignore it. I had signed the petition about the Nickelodeon allegations.
I'm lucky i stopped paying attention to Nick back in the mid 00s. 90s was the heyday for me anyway.
Though i hope they also make a 'Quiet on the set' for Disney, since i know for a fact alot of Disney channel stars like Allison Brie have had terrible experiences. She even hinted at it on twitter years ago.

At this point, the only thing I will ever acknowledge from Nick is SpongeBob. That thing along with anything that doesn’t have names like John K and ESPECIALLY Dan Schneider in them are the only shows that they have where I can feel clean when watching it. Anything else will be untouched and anything they make in the future is I thing I shall not touch. Whenever I mention the ‘good’ of Nickelodeon, I will only refer to the creators of the shows, not Nick. They don’t deserve anyone’s sympathy anymore. They never have and they never will.

In my opinion, Nick can redeem itself, they have come out with a small statement already, so this is a step in the right direction. I’ve always had faith in Nickelodeon and Viacom. Hopefully they can redeem.

Listen, I agree with literally everything you are saying. But I don’t think they will remove anything from Paramount. These people literally sent these victims money to shut them up because the shows this monster made was making them money. I just feel like they aren’t gonna quit because I have seen a lot from this network to the point that it’s literally predictable. But I am definitely not watching them again after this, the only Nickelodeon show I will mention is SpongeBob, it simply cannot be forgotten.

I know I said this before but after watching Quiet on Set about many times... I'm only supporting Xilam nowadays. I can't see Nickelodeon, Disney Television (whatever), Warner Bros Animation and Cartoon Network in the same level of excitement anymore as I used to. I'll still support the cartoons (and some live-action) they've made and most of the crew members, but they really killed mainstream TV for like a while now.
The only thing I can say about this is to just support Buttered Side Down or the majority of TH-cam cartoons like Animatic Battle, Ollie and Scoops, Homestar Runner, Mr. JB, The Amazing Digital Circus, Spooky Month and It's Time For The if you want more goofy and insane humor. Also, those reanimated collabs.

It’s not about “oh this is more important than that”, if you’re talking about youtubers that just talks about media in general then I’d get your frustration. Honestly the some of the new projects would probably be awful anyway & would further destroy the company & their reputation. The new Fairly OddParents! is already looking quite crap & combined with all of the horrors that happened behind-the-scenes alongside Dan Schneider sitcoms generally not being my cup of tea... yeah, Nickelodeon just isn't worth supporting.
Actually I always preferred Cartoon Network over Nickelodeon because CN's shows appealed to me more & when CN tried to be more like Nick with their CN Real block, it just resulted in garbage shows.
EDIT: I don't even have really any nostalgia for Nickelodeon outside of Jimmy Neutron & FOP, but that's as far as it goes. Otherwise, I just saw Nickelodeon as a much inferior Cartoon Network. In other words, I dodged about 100,000,000 bullets & a samurai sword.
Actually, now that I think about it, Nickelodeon's animation side had people like John K., Butch Hartman & Chris Savino involved, so they aren't JUST guilty by association, they have their OWN horrid beasts. The 1st one in particular is darning in more than just himself, but also because my abusive mom was a huge fan of Ren & Stimpy. Not to go into high details, but I lived with her for too long & she abused me & my brother in every way imaginable. My dad eventually decided that, after all of the fighting they had, that enough was enough & I alongside my brother, NEEDED to escape from that absolute Hell. I still have traumatic memories of how she treated me & my brother to this day & it just keeps coming back to haunt me every so often.
So yeah, the animation side of Nickelodeon IS related here not just by mere association with Nickelodeon. They bothh have had some awful creeps, which makes this already awful situation so much worse.

Besides I just started watching some classic nicktoons on paramount plus because I wanted to see what the other kids grew up with back then and see what those shows had to offer. Other than spongebob SquarePants because that was the only show I watched as a kid on Nickelodeon. The only cartoon network show I watched all the time was gumball and nothing else besides a few episodes of teen titans go. You know that reboot that everyone hates?

The thing is you can hate a corporation without hating the art that they have made. As a channel, Nick sucks. Not giving My Life as a Teenage Robot all the love it deserves or giving Danny Phantom more seasons and getting rid of Harvey Beaks and lying about why they got rid of it are all corporate dick moves. That doesn't mean the creations made aren't good. Also worth mentioning that Sonic is a new property and the people working on it probably have no significant relationship to the creators of Dan Schneider shows. Also corporations are made of all sorts of people, including people who don't know what the corporate higher-ups are doing or who couldn't speak up because they would lose their job. There are nuances to this.
