I had a Canon m50 and switch to the Fujifilm X-S10. I have no regrets , I love the colors and the features. It truly is a step up.

Hey I currently have the M50 ii and seriously considering the XS10. I mainly use it for photography and vlog style video.
What would you say is better about the XS10 vs the M50?
How do they compare in lowlight?
      Thank you!

@@fried--rice I will say it is better in many ways. I do feel it handles low light and noise in a way where it looks filmic and almost intentional. It also has no crippling issues with 4k recordings. The color options you get in camera with the film sims are amazing. The lens selection first and now 3rd party is way more fleshed out. Also it has IBIS which for me and my Shakey hands helps a lot vs the m50 that doesn't. Where the m50 beats it is in AF speed and accuracy. The X-S10 has good AF but, it's not excellent. So many options to get just the image you want straight out of camera. A few fast primes and a decent constant aperture zoom and you will be in excellent shape on the X-S10.

@@TwoTimesRmedia Thank you for your reply, and confirming my initial thought of autofocus being really the only 'downgrade' the XS10 will have compared to the M50. The film sims are really appealing to me. Are they available on video mode? If so, great looking video out of the camera is a huge plus for me. I mainly shoot raw, but great out of the camera jpgs via the film sims will also be a huge bonus.

I went from M50ii to X-S10 too. Few other things I find worse with the Fuji:
The electronic level is more sensitive and precise in the Canon camera. It also measures tilt and roll. Fuji only measures roll.
When using the EVF the touchscreen cannot be tapped to initiate focus on the Fugi. Have to use shutter half-press. Just minor stuff like these. The Fugi is a whole other level compared to the Canon however for countless reasons.

@@ascott7321 I agree there are some cases where the Fuji could use a bit more ease of use settings. There's X-H2s has a the electronic level you are speaking of. Maybe it could come as a firmware update. The tap to AF while using the EVF could definitely be fixed in an update.

I have this camera along with the 16mm f2.8 lens as well as the 18-55mm kit lens. It’s great for hiking and street photography, in my opinion. It’s a fun camera, I just wish the battery life was better. 🤙🏼

In a way, I can understand why you might think so. People seem to dismiss X-Mount simply because it's an APSC system, without considering the quality of their lenses, the build quality overall, the color, design, etc. Some criticisms are well deserved, such as tracking AF and limited video recording. But other than that, Fujifilm rules their market (APSC and Medium Format).
I live in Indonesia and over here people recognize Fujifilm as a "fashion camera" because of their stylish retro design, which is not bad since they recognize the quality and the style. But, when people talking about "pro camera" they often left Fujifilm out of the conversation. Yes, Fujifilm is new in the digital interchangeable lens camera (ILC) market. But they've been doing great lately with X-S10, X-T4, and the other X-Trans 4 cameras. I personally shoot with previous gen camera (X-E3) and I am satisfied. I used to shoot with an old Canon DSLR (550D), and switching to Fujifilm was one of my best photographic decision I ever made.

Nice content. It's a mighty little camera. If your living depends on the shot then you should consider a dual card slot model - which naturally will look a little larger, especially with an extra grip. Sadly it's easier to go with the flow of the Client's expectations rather trying to convince them that they were wrong - that always leaves a negative taste....

Thank you for this awesome and detailed review! I'm just planning to buy a camera, but I'm still hesitating. I don't know which one would be the best for landscape, travel and street photography from X-S10, XT30 M2 or maybe Sony A6400? Which one would you recommend in terms of image quality and low light performance and focus accuracy for the above mentioned styles/modes? Thank you so much for your answers and help! 😀✌️

so the XS10 is probably the best of the bunch as it has image stabilisation for travel video. I wouldn't really go for the XT30 or M2 and they compete on the same end but the XS10 just pull ahead a big more

I been Canon full frame for years now and I do love the R5 & R6 I shooting with.
For my professional work.. Canon works.
But I been really wanting a street photography camera.. for that, I'd want a compact camera.. plus would be nice to have a different look for my images.
So I'm looking at Fuji's lately.. specifically the XS10..

hey, how's the battery life if I'm planning 1080p 30p video ? I'm planning to get a xs 10 but skeptical about the battery life.

    • @amanandalensbyanse
      @amanandalensbyanse  ปีที่แล้ว

the battery life is not as good, as they are still using the oldbattery but it can last you a good 45 minutes. it is a shame there is no battery grip for it.

fujifilm xtrans4 processors have dual native iso at 640 and 2000. So I think 2000 ISO will have less noise than ISO 1000

2 years later, Fuji is now overrated lmao, price gouge with awful AF tracking, unbalance supply and demand. Still love my XT3 tho, got it for $650.
