The back of the camera looks so clean when the screen is hidden and we have just a couple of buttons. I love it. If the 120fps and 240fps wasn't cropped and low quality it would be a beast of a camera for the price!

Personally I really like the Fujifilm design of having dedicated controls for each aspect of exposure instead of modes. But most cameras by most manufacturers have a mode control so it makes sense that Fujifilm would make a model that appeals to people that like that. This may be a really good move for them. The most interesting thing to me is the IBIS in a camera this size and at this price. If only they could have added that to the X100V.

I don't understand for the life of me why Fuji has completely gotten rid of the unique screen design on the original Fuji XT-100. You gripe in the video that you would want to just have the flip down screen like your X100V, so the screen on the XT-100 totally did that! It would swivel up or down and then the whole unit swing out so that the screen could face the front for any type of framing or vlogging. In my opinion it was kind of weird but exactly what I would want in an articulating screen! Most of the time you either want the screen facing you so you can frame yourself in the shot or you want it swivelled 90 degrees for those sneaky street photos. The XT-100 screen design perfect for both of those and would have matched the hybrid nature of the XS-10 perfectly!

Four custom slots on the mode dial is a KILLER feature. My old X-10 had two, and I'm pretty sure that's a big part of why it's my favorite camera I own. I'm going to have to give this camera a look.

Also, everything about this camera makes it look like it's geared toward converting Canon SLR shooters. If this was my first Fujifilm camera after decades with Canon film and DSLR cameras, I think I would have been 100% sold on Fujifilm immediately. Maybe I'll get one for my Canon-faithful friends to try out. :-) Thanks for the great video, Faizal!

The mode dial looks like it fell off an Em1 Mark III and landed on the Fuji. Lol I wouldn’t be surprised if Fuji pulls in a few current Olympus and potential customers with this one. It has the form factor and the higher resolution sensor which typically tends to be the toughest deciding factor for many people considering M4/3. It’s a pretty camera but with my Em1 Mark III, I think I’ll forego it for now but the future is exciting!

I have an x-t3 since 2019 and while it's a solid camera, I am tempted by the smaller and lighter x-s10 coupled with ibis. Thanks to your video, it looks like a pretty good camera for street minus the selfie screen making it bigger so less discreet. But what about the evf? Did you find you should go closer to it vs x-t3? Also is the sd card slot fast enough to save quickly compressed raw photos ?

I'm assuming though that one can still set aperture from a ring on the lense and EC from a back dial. I don't really change ISO frequently so the dedicated ISO button works well. Since I usually shoot in aperture priority mode the basic set up seems fine. I wish more brands kept the aperture ring on the lense.

I hear lots of reviewers say the mode dial is more user friendly for beginners, but I’ve never thought the Fuji exposure triangle was any harder. Anyone beyond a first week photographer shooting in, for example, aperture priority will still want to be conscious of the shutter speed and ISO. It’s a great camera, though it would have been nicer with the focus mode switch, and personally I prefer the flip up screen than flip out. The VF is useable but smaller than top level cameras.

  • @just_eirik

I have questions about the battery life and how you shoot. You said you need 2-3 batteries for a couple hours of shooting. My question is, how many shots do you take in two hours? How do you get through 2-3 batteries in such a short time? I was out shooting and I got 100 shots over a period of almost 2 hours. The battery indicator had gone down by only 1 bar. I just don’t understand how so many people have problems with these Fujifilm batteries. I almost never have to switch batteries when I’m out shooting. (Was shooting with an X-T3 btw)

  • @fianoanthonio

Hi, New subscriber here. I like X-S10 combination with XF35mm f 1.4 in this video. I do have X100F and Fuji X70 for photography purpose. And I have Sony A6300 + Sigma lens for video. I think I will go all out Fuji with this X-S10 release. IBIS, Flipping screen, Flog, Eterna are the main changer for me. X-T4 is overkill for my need.
However, the only my main concern is the video autofocus. I still think my Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens is superior to XF35mm in terms of video autofocus. What do you think about this lens on X-S10? Does the new sensor help a lot? I don't need another focal length lens. Also, as someone who religiously use X100series, I always feel missing the 35mm (50mm) focal length. In short, X100F plus X-S10 + XF35mm f 1.4 will be my ultimate combo for both my photography and casual video need.
I would be grateful if you post one or few videos later using this combo. Thanks a lot.

Same exact boat. Have the a6400 and sigma 16 and 30 primes. Almost always keep the 30mm attached. Probably gonna flip to the X-S10 and 35mm prime but don’t know if I should go Viltrox 33 1.4, Fuji 35 1.4 or Fuji 35 2.0. I’m leaning towards the Fuji’s but want fast focusing and close minimum focus so the f2.0 may be the winner? Let me know what you decide!

Nice video! I’m planning to get into the fuji family but it’s so hard to choose. for street photography xt4 or xs100?

The Xt4 is way better but slightly bigger. I don't mind but if you do you have to get with the xs. And the weather sealing on the xt4 is so good

@@cal_win375 thanks for the reply mate, what do you think about xpro 3? Is it better than xt4 for street photography?

@@yuchenyang4267 rangefinders are quite a specialised way of photographing. I suggest you buy an older secondhand xpro 2 and see if you like it before spending big bucks.
