Another brilliant video. I also understand the love of Fuji gear. After many years of Nikon, I moved to Fuji when I pre-ordered an X-Pro2 in 2018. I loved it then, and I love it now for its form factor. I go out with it every week here in London. I then added an X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, X-T5 and X-H2. Each has a special place for me and I take a different one out as the mood of the day grabs me. I must admit, I did get tempted back to Nikon when the Zf was announced and I pre-ordered two of those. They are terrific cameras and I enjoy using them on the streets of London. Then, I saw the Fuji X100VI announced and pre-ordered one on the 28th of Feb 2024. Quite a wait for it and finally collected it from my dealer on 31st August but WOW! A whole new ball game and this one is now pretty much glued to my hand. Loved your enthusiasm in this video, and really enjoyed the video too. You do seem to have a lot of fun when you are out and about. Fantastic stuff.
That's an informative review and also a very fun review. You have a great sense of humor! My X-S20 is on the FedEx truck heading my way. I look forward to receiving it and giving it a good test. I want to come over to the UK and participate in the Cambridge challenge!
High quality Canon lenses are big and heavy, like 900 grams. If you want to get involve in videography, there is no IBIS in Canon R8. Also, from my research, Canon images and videos look oversharpened and digital.
Glad you enjoyed the review! You may notice an improvement with the autofocus on the X-S20, but the X-T3 has a higher continuous frame rate. It just depends if there is anything you'd particularly like the camera to do better for the photography you're shooting. Thanks for watching - Amy
I recently upgraded from the s10 to the s20 and it seems to be somehow slower. Could it be the sd card? Which one would you recommend to use with the s20?
@@sabergo1 indeed just yesterday. It was a silly mistake. I had changed the time in which you can see the picture to 1,5 seconds. I realized that yesterday and I put it off. So now the s20 is as quick as the s10 was. I am happy with the longer battery and have tried a bit with the new autofocus. I don't regret buying the camera.
@@susaschweder6685is the AF much better? Im thinking of getting the xs10 since its so much cheaper now. Do u think its still a good camera for the AF performance
It's a great little camera, will purchase to buddy up with my Xpro2 for a need for a smaller camera and video use. Can i ask what was the video shot on, it looks fab!
It will definitely work well in tandem with the X-Pro2. Happy shooting! As for the video, it was shot on a Sony FX3 camera. Glad you liked it, thank you! - Jakub
XS10 + XF 16-80 kit lens for 1300 euros (special offer) or XS20 +XC 15-45 kit lens for 1349 euros (special offer)? 🤔 Tough decision but maybe the camera is the most important so go with the latter option?! What do you think?
What are your thoughts on the dynamic range in video? - From CINED, Dynamic Range SRN=1: * X-S20 - 12.1 in 6.2k (12.7 in 4k30) * Panasonic GH6 - 12.2 (so XS20 is worse than micro four thirds even!) * X-T2 - 12.8 (7 year old camera!) * X-H2 - 13.6 * X-H2S - 13.6 * Panasonics S5 II - 13.7 * Sony A7 SIII - 13.6 * Nikon Z9 - 12.9 Now that's disappointing! - Why is the dynamic range so much worse on the X-S20? - Still better than Canon R6 I guess (11.9), but not by much. Why is it so poor? have you found it an issue?
@@peekapeekabooboo ye I've bought it, it's nice and compact but still trynna figure out the best way to bring it around with me so I can use it more often
Hey @gpicturez5615, glad you enjoyed the footage! When we weren't shooting with the X-S20 we were using the Sony FX3 to film this review. Thanks for watching - Amy
Hey @gabriellink3958 both of the systems definitely offer different pros and cons. I would say (very generally) the image quality is normally better in the Fujifilm range, because the sensors are APS-C sized, so bigger than the MFT cameras. Therefore you will see improvements in low light performance and detail. However, if you need extra reach from your lenses, then the MFT range can get a little extra effective focal length. All of this of course is dependant on the specific models you are considering, so I hope this helps! Thanks for tuning in - Amy
Great video! :) Been using the XS20 for a few days now and found out there's no audio for footages I shot on 4K60p. Does anyone know how to fix this (if even possible)? Thanks!
Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed the video! Sorry to hear about your problem with audio in 4K60p footage. It looks like the X-S20 can record audio in this mode so it must be something to do with the settings of your camera. Fingers crossed you'll find a solution soon! - Jakub
I have the same camera, with the fan. Disappointed to discover that at 10 bit 4.2.2 in All-Intra, you can only record video up to 45 minutes continuously, in whatever mode (with a very fast SD card). And nothing to do with overheating. Not good enough.
Adding such feature would make this camera much, much more expensive, I'm afraid. If you're after unlimited 10 bit 4.2.2, All-Intra recording, like @danielbogos263 said, a dedicated camera is your best bet. Thank you for watching! - Jakub
Hey @vampirolepis - it'll be a very different shooting experience but definitely offers a far more varied way to shoot! Having lots of lenses to choose from can be a blessing and a curse at times! Thanks for watching - Amy
@@laurentschauls Hi. So, did you regret is or was it a very wise decision so far? I'm actually thinking of selling my XT3 for an XS10 (within my budget) because my XT3 haven't got much use since my X100v arrived due to the smaller form factor and the Classic Neg film sim. What's hesitating me is its non-Weather sealed body (it can get quite dusty here AND since we have lots of beaches, sand or seawater damp may penetrate within its non-WR body).

Sponsoring test ?
According to tests tonal dynamics, tonal range, stabilization in the FujiFilm X-S10 are better than in the newer X-S20 model.
We're not sponsored to shoot reviews, and we have plenty of X-S10's if you'd prefer one over the X-S20. Thanks for watching - Amy
