    Sheets vs Beads. I'm glad Larry @ AmmoNYC is making chemicals with sheeting capabilities. I want the water off, not beads of dust with blazing sun beating down on my paint.

    • @ToddCopeland
      @ToddCopeland 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm not the only one to see that. As far as the chemical test, I'd give that the M27. Seal and Shine beaded the water as it stuck to the paint. Allowed to dry, you'd get water spots. The water did not stick on the M27 side (as it did on Seal and Shine) and instead it was slick enough that it rolled off. Once it was hit with the leaf blower you could also see that they both blew off just as easy.

    • @carlosb1
      @carlosb1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ever since all these videos of guys doing these tests started popping up on youtube everybody wanted water beading. I always thought to myself, why the heck do you want water droplets sitting on your hood? Kind of defeats the purpose of it all. How is beading rejecting water, it is just sitting their but now it is in nice artistic droplets. I want that water off as soon as it hits the panel. Definitely sheeting is the way for me I want that nasty road rain water off my hood ASAP not in dumb little droplets. I'm starting to think they just have a beading fetish.

    • @sergiobarraza1806
      @sergiobarraza1806 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@carlosb1 because in a real world when you wash your car you dry it asap and not stay there waiting for water spots. And btw, most of those beading coatings end up sheeting with time.

    • @altillman1448
      @altillman1448 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MR. GALLARDO Yes'ir the followers of this channel are fully aware you should wash your car with a PH neutral soap before applying a sealant/wax. I use Car Pro Reset Soap because the dilution ratio recommend is much lower (1.76 ounces : 5 gallons) vs. my previous product of choice Ice Snow Foam which despite being less expensive per ounce initially has a dilution ratio recommend of (1-3 ounces : 1 gallon). This channel and its followers do rigorous testing of product results over time in real world situations to support the claims of usable sealant/wax life spans. Most of us are greedy about superior results so I doubt any of us are actually waiting the full term of use before stripping and reapplying any products in my opinion anyhow. Lol

      All ceramic coatings will streak to some degree if surface conditions are poor as well as streaks involved with uneven application by hand. The spray coatings are far less noticable than the strong concentrated solutions.

      You people need a course as to how the auto detailing industry skews terms.
      Ceramic encompass alot of substances including caranuba. Ceramic is not just comprised of liquid polymers. Meguiars ceramic wax includes caranuba just like seal n shine. Ceramic also incorporates sio2 just as how some ceramics don't. It's all marketing.
      Ceramic and sealant are also terms that have their own uses which have also both been used together such as with Simoniz 'Ceramic Sealant'.

      @roscopervis 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have 2 options I would personally go with. Depending on how durable you want it to be, though if doing paint correction, I would expect as durable as possible, first you could go with the Ceramic Lite route like CarPro Ceramic Lite, Feynlab Ceramic Lite, Tac Systems Moonlight or Gyeon Cancoat. All nice and easy to use, no harder than a typical sealant, but providing around 9 months and up in durability, which you can then accompany with their associated top up products (or other good top up products).
      Second, you could get the most durable 'regular' sealant you can find and again, maintain that with a good quick top up product periodically. As for these products your looking at 12 months again. I really like Wowo's Crystal Sealant. It will do 12 months and I think it looks good too. Powerlock plus or Fusso are also potentials but not as glossy or I think as durable.

      roscopervis I really want to use moonlight. Just can’t find it with their US website down, or whatever is going on with the business. I can only find it on eBay but won’t go that route. I’ve been considering just coating it, but eh

    • @roscopervis
      @roscopervis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@24skeemers how about CarPro Ceramic Lite then instead? It's got more Si02 than Moonlight so is more coating than a 'half' coating. Should be OK to get I would think. CarPro has a similar range of Si02 infused glazes and polishes like TAC so I think the two's products would work with each other.
      If you were going full coating then CQUK 3.0 is easy and proven. I also really like Feynlab Ceramic V2.

    Hi Brian, I checked XS PolySeal and not sure if they changed the formula but it now has SiO2 also. This is from their website: " PolySeal is a synthetic wax infused with SiO2. The SiO2 is bonded with the synthetic wax and the wax is what sticks to your vehicle’s surface!". So this M27 is really a PolySeal equivalent. Based on durability and Gloss, which one would you pick?

    Hi Brian, how do you think this new Meg's stacks up against TW hybrid ceramic spray? And secondly, has anyone given long term feedback , ie > 3months data on TW hybrid ceramic spray...I am a bit sick of seeing videos saying how great it is on first application and so far very little evidence that it lasts 6 months (even for the original testers). I think as you often say, dont go running for the next product till you are ready. This is the case here. I think this video proves it. TW SnS is still hanging in there and worthwhile. I am asking about the TW hybrid ceramic spray as I am not sure if its worthwhile putting on a car and claiming it will give 6 months or 12 month protection...I dont like hoodwinking my clients so I am trying to find proof.. Again many thanks for the superb video. Stay safe Brian!
