    @jackkiefer569 4 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    This stuff is insane. In my personal experience I typically just throw on a coat of this after a simple wash to add some shine and depth. In that case you can treat this as a typical spray wax, or if proper preparation is done, it can be used as an extremely good sealant with hydrophobic properties. Either way it is worth the 8 DOLLARS! 8 BUCKS! Great video pan!

  • @subarubrat
    @subarubrat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Hi Pan,
    Another great review.👍 I cannot wait to try this new formula when it comes to Britain. I tried the original formula on your recommendation and have been well pleased with it. I really like the protection and hydrophobic properties it gives..... But the stand out feature for me, as an outside detailer is the versatility and ease of application, so I am pleased to hear that it remains a feature of the product. I have applied the product in the low temperatures and damp conditions of a British winter (I am based in the Peak District) and very recently in 25c temperature and direct sunlight. In both conditions, it was a joy to apply and buff off and the instant curing time is another great feature.
    A note for Turtle Wax and any other detailing product manufacturers, the ability to apply products in all weather conditions (I don't have access to a garage) and the instant curing time are very important to me. I have seen many great products from various companies that I have not tried, as 24+ hours of curing time is a real deal breaker for me, as you cannot guarantee dry weather conditions in our inclement climate. More products like this, please.👍👍👍
    Keep up the good work, Pan.😎

      @MithosXXI 4 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Pomelo 55 from my experience using both, their Ceramic spray coating gives more gloss and slickness, same or if not better hydrophobicity but to get the best of it, good to top it off with their ceramic wet wax once in a while during maintenance wash. Going 7 months strong in line with tight water heading. For just a easy application and not much maintenance work, I would recommend seal and shine, especially if you go to those automatic car wash areas(which I don’t recommend)

    • @mujjuman
      @mujjuman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm old school too and technology really improved with spray products. There's no point to paste waxes/sealants anymore. Liquid is the best for longevity and spray is the best for versatility and convenience. Spray "waxes" and sealants perform exceptionally well today than they did 10 years ago!

    Enjoy these videos! Ridiculous how many products out there just from Turtle Wax, never mind the other 20 companies. Most of us are just going to wash, maybe clay then wax. All steps in between are intriguing but doubt used by most. Would appreciate someone informing the public which products to use for us who want a clean shiny car but are not fanatics and don't have the time or interest in going through 8 steps to get to the end. Reminds me of "audiophiles" who spend so much money on electronics when the human ear cannot differentiate the difference!

The sprayer is black instead of Grey, it does not write "new formula" however the new label states Uv protection and SiO2 just like the "new formula" version(instead of amazing, it writes ridiculous). There was the "new formula" version bottle way behind but I picked this one up thinking that it is probably the latest version (the bottle is definitely not the older version).
    Do you have any information ? I can go back and try to exchange it with the bottle you have.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have any new information. But my first gen bottle in Canada also said “SiO2” on it in a blue droplet too before the new updated version was released. In USA the labels were different on the first gen bottles.
      Perhaps you can reach out to TW and ask them.

    I am using this product to wax my car on a monthly basis. The water beading effect is really mesmerizing and when I drive after the car is wet from rain, my car will almost be dry because the water doesn't remain on the car!
    The protection is good for roughly 3-6 car washes IMO. After that, another round of the wax will restore the protection back to optimal levels

      I didn’t like working with it either. I love the hybrid solutions line, but I did not like this product. As far as using it the trick is you have to wash the car with a wash that has no wax in it so just straight soap, it’s critical to not overspray And you need to switch to a clean section of the microfiber twice as often as you think even then I wasn’t crazy about it but that being said for $12 the longevity and water beating is insane. I’m on my fifth or sixth month with it with multiple washes And I still can’t get it off my windshield I like the ceramic wet wax, and the paste ceramic plus I’ve had really good luck with that 7:58 graphing

      So you have to pick what best suits your needs.

    I applied the original formula last year on my wife's 2012 Honda Pilot as a topper to Adam's Spray Paint Sealant. It was really a random pick of something to add as a topper before a road trip. I got so many comments on the results! I also got stuck in a tornado warning visiting Dallas, TX with hard rain and the wipers were not even necessary because of how quickly the water sheeted off the glass.
    When I ran out of Adams Spray Paint Sealant I was directed towards Gtechniq C2v3 spray paint sealant. I may have missed it if you already did a review on C2v3. I still have ICE seal N shine to top it for now (every 2-3 months) but I am wondering if I should have skipped C2v3. Now i have to get the original formula used up so I can get the new formula.

    Bonjour Pan,
    J'ai des questions à propos du Turtles wax Ice seal n shine.
    1 - Peut-on l"appliquer sur une pellicule pare-pierre Xpel ?
    2 - J'ai reçu un ceramic boost de Xpel pour protéger la pellicule et la peinture. Il recommende de l'appliquer a chaque mois.
    Je me demande quel sera l'interaction entre les 2 produits et quel est la meilleure façon de faire.
    Je pensais appliquer le Turtles wax Ice a tout les 5 mois comme tu le recommande.
    Entre les applications de Turtles wax Ice je pensais appliquer le ceramic boost de Xpel.
    Est-ce que c'est une bonne idée, je tiens a protéger la couleur de la voiture qui est rouge.
    Merci pour tes conseils, et tes 2 vidéos a propos des kit de débutant mon beaucoup aider a choisir les produits.

    Bjr pan j'ai l'ancien turtle ice seal and shine sans sio2 est il possible de l''appliquer sur une protection céramique après chaque lavage vu qu'il y a un peu de carnaubba ?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Non. Après discussion avec le chimiste, il semble que même l'ancienne version contenait un peu de SiO2. Sur les bouteilles canadiennes on peut voir l'indication SiO2 sur les vieilles bouteilles. Si tu veux un produit spray de Turtle Wax compatible avec les protections céramiques, vas voir ma vidéo ici: th-cam.com/video/b5BjDzItlr8/w-d-xo.html

    So I just bought a bottle of the new improved formula of the seal and shine, and I noticed how you mentioned that you can layer it with the spray wax. My question is, how often should you use both products? Example, use the seal n shine every 3 months, and use the spray wax every 2 weeks etc.
    Another question, do you know if you can use other spray quick waxes with the seal and shine? I still have almost a full bottle of
    Meguiars Ultimate quick wax left and wasn't sure if it would conflict with the seal N shine since they are two different companies. Thank you again for your answer and great work!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would apply Seal N Shine once every 4-5 months. And Spray Wax once every month. You can use which ever quick wax you want over Seal N Shine. Another good combo is to use Bead Maker on top.

      @jasonjiang5588 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PanTheOrganizer Thank you very much for this information! I see that Meguiars ceramic wax is on sale, would that be okay as well? Or it has to be specifically quick wax, not regular wax that is applied over the sealant.
      I keep seeing new products such as ceramic wax and wanted to know would you recommend paying the premium for the ceramic products or not.

      @@jasonjiang5588 Jason stick with Megiuars Ceramic Hybird wax. It is the best to date for sheeting off of water. In my Detailing business. I use Megiuars Ceramic Hybird wax almost always. But some customers want SNS. It is a close second. I find putting Meguiars Hybird Ceramic Wax on after a wash while the car is still wet with a Microfiber sponge putting it on evenly. Then let the wax dry for 5 minutes then hit the car panel's with water for 5 minutes activates the Ceramic Hybird wax. Then dry car off with a Microfiber towel to a shine. Work's AWESOME! Been using Meguiars Ceramic Hybird wax for two years. It last a long time. SNS comes in a close second. The only draw back is SNS let dust stick to the surface. Which makes me wash it more. This doesn't happen with the Megiuars Ceramic Hybird wax. Hope this help's. One is $15
      00. The other is $9.97. That's why more people use SnS.

      @@shawnbeck2303 I was going to use the ceramic hyrbid but I already bought a bottle of the SNS so i figured Ill use it up first. Do you find the cost difference worth it?
      Also, I have beadmaker and do you know if you can layer it with ceramic hybrid wax? I know that for SNS there is no cure time so after using it, I can layer beadmaker right on top without waiting it to cure. But If i remember correctly, the ceramic hybrid does have a cure time. Thank you again for the above comment as it makes sense why I have so much dust on my car.

    Not sure if the formula has changed but this stuff was very grabby for me and was NOT easy off. I had a virgin surface on a 2012 Volvo XC60 with a dark charcoal paint so it was easy to tell it wasn't coming off completely.

    Have to share a personal experience. Applied TW ICE seal and shine followed by the ICE spray wax probably 6-8 weeks ago. Love the gloss and slickness. Yesterday noticed car needed a wash, while still looking good, it had some kind of dirty spots on it, almost like tree sap (but not) that I could feel but not see. They were everywhere. Drove in a light mist/rain last night for 20 minutes or so, noticed the water still beaded quickly and sheeted away as I drove. This morning, was in garage and ran my hand lightly over the paint. The spots are gone!! Paint feels 'clean' after driving in a light rain! Still gonna wash it, but very impressed by the ability of TW ICE to somewhat clean itself!!!!!! Thanks again for reviewing!
