Ok.... I did also choose the highway pegs and the four point docking system for my old 2010 E-glide, but all the rest of your must do's is just for show. I still have those 2 big spotlights next to my headlight, so people see me for sure. Most important is that you have those old fashion rear crashbars, because sooner later your drop the thing and then your hard saddle bag is gone including your exhaust pipe. And those rear crashbars are great for securing bagage and fitting some extra leather bags.
The best way to remove those reflectors is with WD40 & fishing line. On each side of the reflector pull up on each side as apply the WD40 behind it, be sure to use a good amount when doing so. Let that sit for about (10) minutes, then start from the top with your fishing line behind it pulling it down slowly. Once the reflectors are off you can just use your finger nails , that’s if you have not chewed them off, and the just remove the adhesive until it’s completely off. Take a soft cloth to remove the WD40. Hope this helps you out, I been doing this way for many yrs now.
My new Ultraglide came with a maladjusted clutch that almost burned itself up on my first ride. Took it back to get adjusted and it still slipped a little. Third try was a charm, and I also upgraded to the SE version with 1275 NM springs. This would be my first mod I'd recommend for any of the new Harleys. I think they have been cracking 3rd gear so more clutch slip is the way they tackled it ... rather than taking the transmission out and lowering the hardness of all the gears to about 180 Rockwell so they are not quite so brittle. I plan to do this when the warrantee runs out. Anothert excellent add on is the cool flo fan. Makes it slightly less like riding thru hades here in Florida during the summer.
Enjoy the videos. On the must do list I especially like the boom amp addition. So may amps pop up on the internet I’m not sure which amp you are talking about. I don’t want too much wattage that I blow my speakers. They are 250 -1200w I didn’t see 75 watt. Do you maybe have a link for that and boy? Thanks for the videos
Boom amp is the one Harley-Davidson sells before they partnered with Rockford fosgste. It will increase your per speaker amperage to 75 if you have the stage 1 like I do. It is a good budget purchase 👍🏼👍🏼
I have to say that Stage 2, Trq cam, with a good tune, and Legend Suspension front and rear, are "must's". Once you've had a bagger with these 2 upgrades, it's impossible to go back. I just did a demo ride on a new RGS and was completely disappointed in the stock suspension and the throttle response.
Great video although I had trouble focusing on you when your dog took over demanding attention. Lol. How tall are you and what height are your new bars. Thanks.
Beautiful looking bike and color! Thinking on buying the hard lowers for my 2019 streetglide. How do you like them and do they make it feel hotter on your legs?
They are awesome! Great wind and rain protection. Helps tons when I travel from wind fatigue on the legs. Not hotter at all especially with the vents. I have speakers in them but you can get gloveboxes instead. I’d get them again, hope this helps you out!!!
Thank you for the video awesome information, I just got a 2012 Harley Davidson Softail Convertible CVO 110 , took me some time to get used to the heel shift now I love it, it’s a must for me
Hey, about that shaft. They give you a kit with a longer shaft. Question, What does it take to put that longer shaft in? Taking off the cam cover is like taking apart half the engine🤪
Got the shaft? Absolutely, all the 114 m8 got a balancing shaft. One may need an extra shaft on the foot shift 👣Or just use the shaft from the engine. Either Way
Awesome video, as far as removing the reflector a steam gun works better than a heating gun, you can actually cause the paint to bubble if left to long. A steam gun is more safer. Works good at removing window tint as well. And definitely a shorty antenna.
Mod #1 - Rear suspension - stock 2 inches of travel is just silly. Mod#2 - Front suspension Mod #3 - Engine cooling aka Love Jugs. I will guarantee that you are running an engine temperature of over 300 degrees all the time on that 107 (mine ran 330 degrees when it was 80 degrees ambient temp). Your ECU is going to significantly retard the timing when the engine hits those temps and drop your torque and HP by more than 10%. The cost of the Love Jugs to retain 100% of your engines torque and horsepower is the cheapest horsepower you will ever buy. With the cooling, I’m running 255-260 degree cylinder head temps now.
Loving that street glide. I got the hard candy red same year. Have you considered setting up a ride through some nice ride in Illinois?? Im near Chicago, riding ti starved rock is as nice as it gets lol.
