Part 2 - Do Brake Master Cylinder Braces do anything?

- In this follow up to part 1, I try out MRT Performance' version of a brake master cylinder stopper to see if it performs better than the Beatrush one I installed in Part 1.
The MRT product can be purchased HERE: www.mrtperform...
My Cusco item, for my old GF8, makes the brake pedal solid like a rock. Very Porschey, with 12 pots of V7 STI brakes all round.
MRT is the best, love their videos they are very knowledgeable
At the end of the 2nd test, did I see the stopper-nut rotate slightly, and loosen up? Seems like that would be a progressive thing, and so it should have a 2nd nut behind the first to lock it up.
Also I was surprised to see that it was such a thick lump of rubber, unless the metal good goes so deep inside.
Finally, since it was flexing even when engaged, perhaps it should have been pre-loaded a fair amount to take up more of the slack in the rubber or something?
Goddamn they're not cheap!
Great video, as always!
Nice one mate thankyou for the info. And also sweet ride.
Cheers mate so in theory it should work better on non ABS. all it is, is i am stripping my car to the shell over winter to do alot of modifications. As it needs some TLC and want to know if this will be worth it, as i am changing the breaking system to 350z (z33) break system with out ABS to.
The variable here is, we really don't know how hard you are stepping on the peddle in testing the final product. In my opinion a correct design would tie the firewall and any structural metal nearby by way of a triangle, in this case the nearest structure being the strut tower. These current designs are merely a bump stop for the master cylinder.
Pretty much. Can’t stretch the budget to buy a deflection gauge just to make a video but that would be the decor ridiculous way to test it.
hello mate can you tell me if your car has ABS, as im looking at getting this modification for my Nissan Skyline Gtst R33, but it does not have ABS, and was wondering if this would work for me....
There's no reason why you have to start the engine just to show the movement.
Yeah the master cylinder is purely taking pedal pressure. The brake boost determines how much pressure the brakes actually see, not what the master cylinder sees.
Anyway of getting on of these Will? looked online couldn't find it
+Project BRZ Okay will do cheers
+Keanu Graham Yeah, their site isn't exactly intuitive... But I think this is it.

+Mitchell Denham cheers mate, I hate websites where u have to purchase through dealers
Is your supercharger whine loud? I installed mine and the the whine is quite loud and I'm a little upset. Any suggestions?
+Project BRZ yea my belt tension should be fine because I got instructions from a Kraftwerks rep. Also, did you initial gas mileage suck? Cause I was getting 24.4mpg and now I'm getting about 18.5mph when I baby it. Did your gas mileage change after you broke it in?
the master cylinder on my car is out ):
