I put the Radium Master Cylinder brace in my '15 STi, the BRZ is a simpler install. As mentioned in many install, those fuel lines are so in the way! Their parts are excellent quality. Well Done!
Make sure when you wire your fog lights that you put a relay and fuse in. That way you only use the headlight power as a switching signal to turn on the fog lights. Main power to the fog lights should be on a separate circuit usually from the battery directly or an open optional accessory in your fuse box. This is to protect your car from fires and accidentally overloading circuits such as your main headlight circuit.
Ended up wiring it to a different power source but it is ran independent from the headlights. Used the OE fender light harnesses and re directed power to the fogs from the marker lights. Both LED so drawing low power
Great video. I'm a fan of Radium. I did the top feed conversion on my 05 sti with radium rails, lines, fpr, pressure gauge, direct mount dampers, and relocated the fuel filter from the tank to the engine bay with a radium. After watching this video i searched their site and it looks like they have a master cylinder brace for the older subarus that is compatible with a fuel filter bracket. I thank you sir, your video has led me to my next mod.
This is actually the first Radium part I've ever used and I'm a big fan of the git, finish and quality. Will definitely be using some of their parts more often now 🔥
I got my wrx in January installed the rally armor flaps and found that good old oem internal dirt as well about the same size pile too lol keep up the great work!
Should take it in for a Subaru rust proofing, had my RA done before picking it up and was actually there to watch the process. They insert very narrow rod type sprayers into the rails and give it that great anti "shmoo" coating.
@@Smeedia the rods they used were like the length of the frame rails with like sprinkler style openings to spray the coating. Not sure how you could replicate that at home, the whole process was only 300 Canadian so was for sure worth it getting them to do it when they did my undercoating.
Have you done a banjo bolt video? If not that's a good idea. How to replace one, where it is, and for others interested how to remove the filter within
Need to hire a ninja with incredibly tiny hands to do this on my 2011 WRX. Jesus it’s infuriating! My wife couldn’t do it with her much smaller than my normal hand size. The line coming off the brake booster is right in the way of getting a wrench or socket on the first small bolt to install.
@@Smeedia not yet! need to tap the holes first but I can't even get a tap or the bolt into position (even without the bracket in the way!) I'm wondering if my brake booster line is bent out of shape or something!?
I want the sticker. No need for the brace... I did the Torque Solution brake master cylinder brace for my 2020 WRX. What a great upgrade! I also have the TS steering dampner Lock Out braces. (Not a thing for the STi, only the cars with the electric steering racks. Maybe for the BRZ?) And I bought a set of Goodridge SS braided brake lines and some Motul DOT 5.1 fluid. If that doesn't fix the not great brake feel in my WRX, then the next purchase is a set of Brembo calipers in boi racer Red! Maybe black, not sure. Love your show man!
It's one of my favorite upgrades to do! Super simple and immediate results on braking feel. I did the SS lines in the STI and they helped to stiffen up the brakes a little more and they're pretty solid. That should make a solid difference, brembos would be nice if you snagged some! And the support is greatly appreciated! 😁
The schmooze was in the fender well, not frame rail. The master cylinder brack bolts to the strut tower, not fender well. Not trying to be an ass, just trying to help with the lingo.
@@Smeedia to be honest I found your channel completely by accident I was looking for something else. But you always keep things interesting and you're not a professional so it gives me as also a non-professional a good insight as to what I may or may not need and if I make a mistake how to fix it on the home front so I greatly appreciate it
@@Smeedia I'm gonna do the whole braking system. Slowing down at 100+ mph is sketchy and constantly hard braking between 40-80 mph when I was hitting the twisties wasnt good enough for me .
@@Smeedia same here, especially for the type of driving I like to do. There is a stretch of road in monroe, this weekend I set my base time of about 8 min 30 seconds, on wet condition. I want to try and hit 7 min. on dry warm weather
TBPerformance makes one for the Focus ST, just gotta pull the battery, battery tray and bolt to fire wall. From what I hear it helps pretty well. Then might pare it up with Damond motorworks brake bushings.
Pads and rotors have 50k miles aren’t worn out and haven’t been replaced neglected maintenance? Replacing parts that don’t need to be replaced is not maintenance.
You can have pads and rotors wear at 20K miles all depends on how the owner drove the car. These ones were trash when I pulled them off thr car. Pads were almost gone and the rotors were warped
Until I get the nee fog lights they'll be on eith the running lights, but the running lights are only ever on with the headlights, free alternative for the time being
@@Smeedia Fair enough, Fog lights don't have the same cut-off that the headlights will so you get a lot of glare. I'm probably just triggered because I live in an area where everyone has a big 4x4 because they're a farmer or they're drillers/riggers. All of them seem to have them on all the time. and it's blinding. BRZ height probably isn't going to have the same effect.
Nope. It stiffens the pedal feel by reducing flex when you push hard. There is no measurable performance gain, but a stiffer pedal can improve your confidence. Under normal driving you Likley won't notice much of a difference. I've had mine installed for 6+ months.
you're the only dude who instealled and actually tested it out. everybody straight ends their video right after they install smh
Have one on my new brz as well, fantastic little braces 🔥

Appreciate the support, this will definitely help with the squish. Very noticable on the STI when I installed it on there as well
Its a very noticeable change, I went SS brake lines first then the BMC stopper and the first drive instantly notice the difference
