Been doing bodywork for close to forty years , never thought this would be possible, the knowledge , patience and skill displayed here is off the charts , I don’t think most people watching this really understand how incredible this is , I’m super impressed.
Hector thank you so much 40years you could probably teach me some things
Same here 40 years and that's a expensive hit . Insurance companies would give me a new panel .
Its just the factor r u risking working half a day on this and what if it fails so safer to go with just bodywork filler paint or a new panel
I appreciate the skill. You're an artist. A surgeon
I tried removing as simple dent and it took me forever and the dent is still there
Anybody else got randomly recommended this video and watched it all the way?
RD thank you for your comment
Yeah crazy...
Same...I'm impressed
Ive seen this comment in other vids ....
Yup.
Completely crazy to witness, the skill level here is huge. Honestly looked like an impossible job.
I'm surprised the man's insurance company didn't write the car off !
In fact it's the council's insurance company who paid and I wonder why ?
I have been a heavy collision tech for many years and would have never believed it had I not seen for myself. There are countless metalmen out there but you my friend are a true craftsman !!!
This guy deserves to be acknowledged as a master craftsman and an artist.
I will acknowledge
is there even anyone in doubt?
He's not Superman.
He's Picasso!
Like brain surgery.
he is a Doctor
This is not a professional job, it is a piece of art!
Thank you
It's definitely both!
Round of applause for the few thousandths of an inch layer of clearcoat and paint that is capable of withstanding ALOT of force with glued on pulling tools!
I worked at a paintless dent repair shop for 2 year ...but NOBODY I knew had this talent! this was top notch!.....I am blown away by this great craftsman in the video and I worked in this industry
How much would something like this cost ?
I've done body work for a lot of years and I've never seen anyone do something like that that's amazing

This is amazing. Never thought that kind of damaged could be repaired like that. Pay this man.
This is insane. It looked like a total impossibility, but the metal was forced to surrender to his will, and he makes it look easy. Awesome video. 👍
Metal is liquid
after all.. he is the "Metal Mentalist" LOL
To not settle for "good" but going for perfection, is the mark of a true craftsman.. well done.
I'm only an onlooker but I can recognise good workmanship when I see it . Craftsmanship of the highest quality
Umm...it's this kind of old (I'm old) thinking that has me spinning....I'm trying to get away from even the ridiculous word perfection...its completely subjective, unachievable and absolutely gets in the way of whats important....far more important than the myth of "perfect craftsmanship"...it's finishing. You have to finish. Use the wrong words for a person like myself and you end up with a lifetime of potential and a garage full of "perfect projects" that couldn't meet the criteria and were never finished. Just piled up regrets for even the inspiration to start them. I now make the commitment to finish what I start whatever the final outcome. Further, because I suck, I also have to commit to finishing them ON TIME. That daggone word causes lateness that causes a bad taste for the end user regardless of the finish..."I needed it then, not now"...because I was chasing a ghost for two extra months.
Thank god for youtube and generous artists to help work out these kinks.
Cheers
Wow! After 35 years of doing autobody and paint I thought I was pretty good. After watching you, I have a long way to go. You are a master. Thanks for the video and the teaching.
That is next level my friend. I’ve been doing this for a while and I’m totally impressed with your creativity and willingness to adapt. Awesome.
Wow, thank you!
Absolutely the best PDR channel I've ever come across. The energy and enthusiasm of what you do is contagious and necessary. We should do what we do with all our heart. The instructions and explanations of the methods used to move the metal are second to none.....and tell us how the applied forces work to relieve tension in the metal. So excited to watch how you apply sound principles and practices to restore the metal to production line perfection.
Thank you for your comment
Outstanding craftsmanship 💯👍💪i hope to be this good one day
I’ve been an insurance adjuster for almost 15 years now with a major company and have never seen anything like this! Speechless.
I don’t even know how this was possible. My mind is absolutely blown wow
The down votes are from body shops that would've chopped off the quarter panel and charged the insurance company an arm & a leg.
@@magellanmax thats what body shops are supposed to do insurance companies are multi billion dollar institutions they can afford it. Also nothing is better then a new panel

Always rewarding to watch a master perform his craft. You can tell this guy owns a wealth of experience, knows his tools inside and out, can visualize a solution where even his competitors cannot, and has practiced the skills to make it happen. Bravo.
Awesome 👍. See everyone it's a "CRAFT" NOT AN ARTFORM.
Thank you my friend I appreciate it
I agree 100%
Or the competitors CAN visualise the best cost effective solution but instead recommend the one that would bring in the most Profit to them (making the job bigger etc).
That is the world we live in. As the years go by I realise people today are more manipulative/greedy/lack self control/self discipline and more willing to trade anything for money.
This video left me speechless! a spunky performance.
Bravo Man of Steel!!

I would have never believed this was possible to repair without a replacement panel. Very impressive.
It is not if you check for rela you will see paint damage, its not perfect.
Still better then bodywork by far
I too believe the quarter panel should be replaced.
I think these kind of procedures are great for the owners of the car, it gives them the option of cheaper repair based on their financial situation. Quarter panel replacement is very expansive
@@julioramossilva3968 - You can see slight ripples on the ridge... but the point is not to be perfect but to be as close as possible. Also this guy got it closer than most could with that kind of damage so that is why its impressive.

I'm a 1st timer, loved your video! I'm also a beginner, I only get small dent out but for larger ones, I have to let a professional do the job. I also just work on older cars like my 2002 S10 and my mother's 2003 van, family only, since it a hobby for me. But I have hurt my back and my arm and even the small pulls hurts. After watching your video, it gave me ideas on a easier way to pull. The use of the bar will help me out, since I only got small pulls I will pull even less. Thanks for the idea. Incredible work. I am working on an old Mini Cooper so replacing a panel would require finding a donor and then cutting and welding. But your video has given me a bunch of ideas to try with a block of wood and a come a long! Thank you. I’m your newest fan and subscriber
Bro ur a natural poet with the description, thanks for the knowledge !!!
I've been doing body work for years and this was absolutely amazing!. I'm throwing away my paint gun to learn this brilliant craft.
Yeah, I went through years of school and OJT and got a degree in paint/fender/body, and when I would ask about PDR, a lot of the guys would scoff and say it was fine for small dents, or maybe after hail storms. They'd all want to remove/replace fenders, cut/weld/fill/sand/paint QP/SP and door skins. I'd ask them why they don't try to manipulate the dent and make at least reuse the original fenders etc. Most would say it was easier and faster to do it their way. I'd still hold on to the old parts and practice manipulating the metal, but if I had been able to see this channel when I was still working there and going to school, I think I would have been able to convince the instructor as well as the owner of the body shop I was working at to train me on it.
I'm not knocking the other way at all and understand that in certain instances it is definitely needed. However, an alternative is always nice to have.
@@jmackinjersey1 I remember reading about this technique of repairing small dents years ago. This method of dent repair has improved and progressed beyond repairing just door dings.
