Technically equal length headers are tuned to specific rpm ranges (usually somewhere in the top end) where with unequal length headers the tuning is for different rpm ranges on exhaust valve. The phenomenon that effects that also applies to intake runners. Both also apply to rotories because the seals are functionally values, this is how the r26b in the 787b had such a wide power band while still na.

what about special editions BRZ... I mean... I have the factory Brembo 4pots, the SACHS dampers... and apparently being lucky it's a north american model (TORSEN LSD) because they seem to exist BASE BRZ with open diffs
I just bought a BRZ and was wondering if anyone put UEL headers on and didn’t have to tune the car. Will it mess with AFR’s? I know you won’t really gain power without a tune, but wondering if it’s still good to daily and sometimes get on it without tuning.
Yeah I don't like the fa20, its not a reliable motor when you put power to it. So that's why I have a turbo k24 for my frs. In my opinion the sound of a turbo UEL fa20 sound better then. Turbo k24 but the reliability and power capability you can get from a k24 is way better.
Is there any debate between supercharger and turbo? I have been looking at the HKS turbo kit @$5000 it seems like the ability to change the boost vs a set psi from supercharger would be the pro. What is the con?
Most of the time the supercharger is better for a consistent power curve with better performance in the lower end turbos are mostly meant for bigger gains but are usually in the higher end of the rpm range it’s mostly preference low end torque or high end speed
On a catback you can get away without it, but squeeze a little more out with a tune, but for anything like a header, or cat delete, pretty important to tune.
You should NOT have recommended cold air intakes and drop in filters. They are both a waste of money that does not increase performance but does significantly increase the chance you'll get water or debris sucked into your engine. They're just overpriced sound enhancers that put your car in danger
We will definitely be making a Must Have Mods video for the new generation. It may be a while until products are released, and only time will tell what these upcoming capable cars are going to need. Definitely reach out to us at 833.668.6767 once you get it, and we'd be happy to help you out!
Quick question then brother I’m in California Can I get catless headers? I have the incidía n1 catback I also have ps4’s and looking for more power and grip
Is it wise to get the BRZ with the Brembo brake setup, or should I get the BRZ limited and use the recommended brake setup from this video? Which is better?
Hey Tee, it depends what kind of premium you pay for the Brembo equipped. Its definitely a better set up, but the aftermarket rotors and pads will be a major upgrade. The brembo calipers are really the big upgrade there, and they will be signifigantly better than the base calipers. If you have to pay a $2k+ premium for the Brembo equipped car though, then I'd consider getting a full BBK (Big Brake Kit) in the aftermarket (we didn't cover this on our video), and that would be an even more signifigant improvement over the brembo OEM option. It's a trade-off, how much braking performance you're really looking for. If we're talking about street driving, the non-brembo brakes and a good set of rotors and pads will be awesome. If you're looking for some occassional trackdays, the brembo equipped car will be a leg up. If you wanna hit the track HARD and frequenetly, skip the OE brembo's and go straight to an aftermarket BBK. Feel free to give us a call at 833.MOTOROSO if you wanna get into the conversation around a full BBK.
"getting more air is always a good thing" lol no it's not, cant just ram more air into an engine and expect it to make more power. As for cold air, it already pulls air from inside the bumper, how much colder is it going to get? Just an absolute waste of money on most cars.

I'm no car person but I am planning to get a Scion FR-S pretty soon and I know nothing of mods. I was looking into getting the Varis Widebody Full Kit. So without any experience my question is that is it a good kit, and if it is, are there any recommendations you have to add on to that?
Varis widebody is a $13,000 body kit, if you know nothing about cars then maybe not go out buying a kit like that, considering install will be an extra $2,000 and paint $5,000 unless you wrap.
@@Scirollo what would you recommend?
@@zehnyth1205 Buy one learn about cars by working on it, slowly progress through upgrades until you know exactly what direction you want to take the car in
@@Scirollo aight forsure, i appreciate that
I have the brembo brake set with the 2017 BRZ. Would you recommend the same pads to replace the stock pads? Thanks!
Yeah, the pads we mention are all still great options, but we'll need to make sure they're the correct pads for your application.Which ones are you looking for?
Ive got 18x9 wheels and i woukd like to see square look tires what could be the recommendations if my budgets are $200~300 for each tyres
I’m thinking to buy toyota gt 86 which plate should i go for ?? Any suggestions.,?
what about special editions BRZ... I mean... I have the factory Brembo 4pots, the SACHS dampers... and apparently being lucky it's a north american model (TORSEN LSD) because they seem to exist BASE BRZ with open diffs
Im just gonna ls2 swap mine when i get it.
I subed because of this video.
What would be the most best year Brz to buy?
I got a 2020 and love it. It's the last in the gen 1 models so all the problems have ben worked out.
I just bought a BRZ and was wondering if anyone put UEL headers on and didn’t have to tune the car. Will it mess with AFR’s? I know you won’t really gain power without a tune, but wondering if it’s still good to daily and sometimes get on it without tuning.
I was wondering about things like strut tower bar, mid frame brace and things like that how come there’s on that from you?
Uncatted headers are very loud and give a bad exhaust smell. I used to slide all over the road when i got my 86, came with 17x7.5 Prius tires
Nice video very informative event for a begginer car guy 😊
I have a 2020 86 Toyota anything I can do to improve the sound?
Yeah, check out all the exhaust mods in this other video: th-cam.com/video/5ZnfeaxbSxk/w-d-xo.html
I’m in California will any of this cause the car not to pass a smog test?
Yeah I don't like the fa20, its not a reliable motor when you put power to it. So that's why I have a turbo k24 for my frs. In my opinion the sound of a turbo UEL fa20 sound better then. Turbo k24 but the reliability and power capability you can get from a k24 is way better.
#1.
The title in hand to sell it faster
Can the throttle model be substituted when you get a tune? Its a definitely a feature I would like to have.
The two work independently, can use both.
Is there any debate between supercharger and turbo? I have been looking at the HKS turbo kit @$5000 it seems like the ability to change the boost vs a set psi from supercharger would be the pro. What is the con?
Most of the time the supercharger is better for a consistent power curve with better performance in the lower end turbos are mostly meant for bigger gains but are usually in the higher end of the rpm range it’s mostly preference low end torque or high end speed
not gonna talk about the jackson racing c38?
I didn't know you needed a tune for a new exhaust
On a catback you can get away without it, but squeeze a little more out with a tune, but for anything like a header, or cat delete, pretty important to tune.
Where the decals on the door from on the thumbnail
I think I overpaid for my JDL 4-2-1 coated header. Lol
I paid $1200 for my Ceramic Coated, Catted UEL from FT86
You guys think this will apply for the 2023 BRZ or Subaru still making fuckups to save an extra dollar?
You should NOT have recommended cold air intakes and drop in filters. They are both a waste of money that does not increase performance but does significantly increase the chance you'll get water or debris sucked into your engine. They're just overpriced sound enhancers that put your car in danger
im getting a gr86 2022 could you do a mod videon on it if possible?
We will definitely be making a Must Have Mods video for the new generation. It may be a while until products are released, and only time will tell what these upcoming capable cars are going to need. We imagine it's a similar list to this video, but with a new power plant, we would expect people to be pushing these motors a bit more! Definitely reach out to us at 833.668.6767 once you get it, and we'd be happy to help you out!
Quick question then brother I’m in California
Can I get catless headers? I have the incidía n1 catback
I also have ps4’s and looking for more power and grip
No catless in CA. We recommend the Borla, they’re 50-state legal, cause they keep the cats in the oem location.

Number one: Engine swap
Number two: Trans swap
heat wrap headers or else says manny at hamilton ontario subaru on upper james lol 😆 😂
Would it be legal though? Would i pass smog with the Equal length headers?
The Borla headers are 50-state legal!
Please guys with any car you are looking to get the fun for your buck invest in good sets of tires
Also when is the separate suspension video releasing?
We just got it out today! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/DxdwLKIv0tA/w-d-xo.html
I wanna get a high mileage one for cheap and throw a k24 in it 😈

Wjere can i find the front bumber of the brz in the thumbnail?

You can do all that without the boost just have a really good tuner. Squeeze a lot of everything for a true NA build.
Turbo a tune maybe an ls

Talk about headers and not mention ace that is the best? Yes, of course their products are more expensive than anything else.
Not wrong. Should've mentioned in this video too. We cover the ACE in this exhaust deep dive video: th-cam.com/video/5ZnfeaxbSxk/w-d-xo.html

The headers that produce the most midrange torque for this platform are all EL. You are perpetuating myth.
I’m stuck should I get a 2020 brz ts or a 2018 V6 Camry
What? BRZ!!!!!
@@Motoroso haha okay I’ve made up my mind thank you.
"getting more air is always a good thing" lol no it's not, cant just ram more air into an engine and expect it to make more power. As for cold air, it already pulls air from inside the bumper, how much colder is it going to get? Just an absolute waste of money on most cars.

So funny how many people want more power and then you go to buy one and they are all salvage titles. Hmmmmm
