The fact that i can trick my brain into thinking my room is a library and that it's a safe place for me to work sounds like it's worth all the money. I need to grab one, grad school from home has been such a pain, one that i didn't think it would be.
I can attest to your final notes, I just got my quest 2 yesterday and didn’t even use it that much and I already love it. Really looking forward to using the productivity applications as well as the games :)

Just got this recommendation myself! Just got my Quest 2 last week, so I've been getting into it as much as possible. It's been an amazing little piece of hardware.

It would be so cool if you could map out your area and “upgrade” your house into any environment you want, but mapped around your interior walls. Then if you used AI to make real life NPCs so you could go out on your VR balcony and people watch. That would be sick
Please please make a video on those productivity apps and how you are using them for work. I want to use this primarily to have infinite monitor space and am looking to connect to my laptop and just use it for work.

How clear is the text on reasonably scaled up larger monitors?
For you, can I use Quest 2 as a developer for improve the productivity using it a lot of hours at day or it's too early for that purpose?
I wonder if it's better buy more phisical monitors on pc or buy that vr and works with all the apps arround me.
Did you found out are they better or using few monitors

Wish I could afford one but dont get pocket money and can't work bc Im to young. One day I hope I can get one. Keep up the amazing content
my plan is to use a vr headset to make school more fun and im gonna work in different CAD programs which you hopefully can do in vr

What application is that at 2:13? Not sure if it’s immersed cause I can’t find that environment you’re in
This application is called "Virtual Desktop". It's on the quest version of the app, and has to be downloaded in the environment settings while the app is running.

Can you plug the headset in so it charges while you use it?

my quest 2 look a little blurry and when you look around you can see glares from the brightness i think the other side of my lens the part i can’t clean is dirty is there a way i can fix this?
Ensure you have the correct IPD setting closest to your actual IPD, make sure to only use the microfiber cloth to wipe your lenses, and don't use any liquid when wiping your lenses...that's pretty much all I can think of haha
If you really believe it's on the inner portion of the lens it'd probably be best to contact oculus support.

My quest is plugged in whilst watching movies in Bigscreen. Using an 8 euro usb cable that's 3 meters long.
Love bigscreen, I really wanna get those headphones from 'EngineeredAF' heard they are on part with the old CV1 rift audio.
You don't watch movies natively on the Quest?
The administrators in the rec room are really kool some of the games need some work thou

What application are you during for background and is it on the quest?
Hey sorry for the late reply, I'm using "Virtual Desktop" you just have to download the environments while in the application.

This environment is available for use in the "Virtual Desktop" application on the Oculus Quest/Quest2.

There's 3 versions, day, evening and night
They all do the same thing Facebook is doing, what do you think pays for the servers to host google services such as TH-cam, Gmail, Google + etc. Every IT giant ecosystem does this, you can create a brand new TH-cam account with a new privately hosted email address and watch the emails and ads that you get targeted with overtime. Im personally ok with it because I have nothing to hide and what things I would want kept private im in control of digitally. So if they want to target me with ads etc on a cost sharing basis that would offer me a value of service im all for it.

This can replace the laptop and Desktop?
If it improve in spec absolutely. VR has huge potential than any techs before it
4:05 One of the main reason for me to wait for a Quest 3 or 4. It' beyond me that a multi billion company creates optical devices and more or less ignores the importance of PDs. Wrong PDs and you can throw away your prescription glasses. That's why even 5$ binoculars have a joint! And ametropia (the presence of refractive error in the eyes) affects billions of people - especially in VR target markets (developed countries). The 5$ binocular handles this better too, IMHO.
The CAD leaks of Quest 3 still show that IPD step counter. Meaning Quest 3 might still have limited IPD adjustment...I really hope they change it for the final device.
i bought that anker battery and idk whats its called air drop idk that bluetooth ear headphone i lost my first 1 at turkey i only have 1 ear from it lol

There is probably some latency in trying to use bluetooth headphones unless they are low latency.

Do you need a pc for it
Yes, you'll need a PC, either actual or shadow PC in order to stream your desktop...but if you just wanted to chill in the environment you just need the app on your quest.
What app is this? The virtual apartment?
This app is called "Virtual Desktop". You stream you desktop to your virtual computer and you can also play VR games streamed from your computer to your Quest 2.

great video! love the clean editing & order of content. i understand your opinion on Facebook's colection. At the end of the day i still was happier to pay $300 usd & my faceboot data.
Apple charges ~$1000 usd + an icloud account for a new iphone.
The Oculus quest 2 is not the only headset to use hand tracking that is absolutely false information the Oculus quest 1 also uses hand tracking
If you want to actually do work don't get virtual desktop get immersed vr it's free
There's def pros and cons with both, I've heard and do notice a difference when it comes to virtual screen clarity. I've heard from some people that they prefer Virtual Desktop over immersed for that reason. Plus you can jump into PCVR games easily if ya want. I think with immersed you are also limited to two screens if you choose not to upgrade to the 'Elite' level subscription after the free trial period for those features runs out. Both are awesome though.

@@STATEOFVR no problem, the only reason I say to choose immersed is because of the virtual keyboard and how you can calibrate it on top your irl keyboard, if virtual desktop someday inpliments that same type of calibration then it would definitely win (I say this because I'm thinking more of typing essays and stuff)
