Unfortunately, this video is still very misleading. You can view your phone only, but you must interact with it in real life to use the touch screen. This is at best a nice way to monitor your phone in VR. You can answer a call if you have automatic pickup enabled and it will use your headset mic. Otherwise, you will have to use passthrough to view your phone and hit the answer button. A shame. I would be willing to pay for an app that seamlessly uses my Iphone in VR. Considering this technology why can't we get this?

It would be so cool if you could map out your area and “upgrade” your house into any environment you want, but mapped around your interior walls. Then if you used AI to make real life NPCs so you could go out on your VR balcony and people watch. That would be sick

Phones are about to become absolute. I knew could emulate screens but I never thought about emulating an actual phone screen or tablet.

Hello, thank you for reviewing them! How do I increase the volume using them with the Quest 2? I raise the volume inside the Quest 2 menu, but the volume is still low. The G333 sound better, but they don’t get loud either. I want to hear bass and higher volumes, but I can’t find how to get a higher volume. As they are, the Quest 2 sounds just as good without either of them. Any suggestions? 😢

Hmm.. perhaps VR would benefit from voice-to-text software and microphone. Typing seems difficult in VR. You would need to at least sometimes see what your doing

I'm a 3d artist, assuming this works. Being able to design your own virtual office with as many and as large monitors as you want would be quite amazing. I'd probably go for the Illusive man's office from Mass Effect or maybe an office inspired by a fantasy environment. A little hobbit hole.

The quest 2 clarity and resolution is just not there yet. Texts are still not as clear as should be. I would wait for the next-gen headset but definitely this going to be the way I am working in the future.

Have you gone back and used them? Couple pointers in case you missed these - Quest 2 remembers headphone volume, so it's absolutely necessary to first increase the volume on the Quest 2 to MAX 100% after plugging them into the jack, than adjust the audio on the VR Ears. I also bring this up because regarding the headphones shutting off, there is an idle feature that turns them off if they do not get proper input/output - they've recommended its fixed once you turn the Quest 2 volume up to 100%. There has been a response within a Reddit thread from the manufacturer that states a 40 hour sound break-in is recommended.. though that seems excessive. I don't think they're worth the MSRP, maybe half. IMO, stick with the Vive deluxe audio strap.

I got these for £15 and am quite happy with them honestly, easily getting 5-7 hrs after 3 ish hours of charging

Does this require steamVR, or does it work on standalone quest 2?

I can't imagine why anyone would buy these over the Vive DAS. You get improved comfort, and headphones that don't need to be charged. The only possible benefit is not wanting headphones directly on your ears adding heat, but at that stage you may aswell just use the built in audio.

Wish I could afford one but dont get pocket money and can't work bc Im to young. One day I hope I can get one. Keep up the amazing content

why they don't use the outside camera for the keyboard, with this current setting, sitting on a chair or a couch is not i good ideal, and the hand shake too much

how many screens you can use on a free version?

I absolutely hate these for the $130 tag. Mine tend to turn off after 15 minutes of use and I can turn them back on for another 15 without charging them. Along with meh sound, I noticed a light buzzing with them that I can only guess is from them being battery powered. Heck, my hand-me-down desktop headphones are way better in terms of weight, quality and ease of use, with the only pro for the Ears is them not moving off of my head at all when I look almost completely up or down. I feel the battery is a result of over-engineering that severely hampers them.
