Many Porsche guys think that any Porsche that isn't a Porsche 911 isn't a real Porsche and is for the poor. By the way, you look good driving this Porsche Boxster. Thanks for sharing.

I have the same car but have never had the opportunity to drive around Swiss lakes (or Lago Maggiore?) with it. As Anna mentions, that would be the definition of fun. I will never part with my car.

So enjoyed this video Anna. I am loving my new Guards Red 718 Cayman with 20" black alloys. Don't care what some journalist say...the sound is very sporty as I have the competition exhaust. Porsche has that exclusive touch which appeals to me!

My family has the 718 Cayman and it's a beautiful machine to drive. I 100% agree with everything you said in this review. It's a nice change of pace watching or reading a review where someone doesn't bash or complain about the sound but instead focuses on all the other aspects of the car, too. You look great in those yellow gloves and the car itself! I wish roads in the US were like the ones in your video.
Magnificent. I've was just talking to my wife a few days ago about yellow paint on sporty cars I told her Mustangs, Corvettes and Camaros are almost the only cars you will see in yellow because its a sports car color. This video of yours reminds me of the upper end cars. Thank you for reminding me. Were I bought my Smart is at Park Place, here in Dallas Texas. When I see you I think of Park Place because it is a very high end place, very elegant, and well they have just about all of the cars you test drive. Thanks for for the good dream on video.

I recently bought my Porsche Boxster S... and yes, she is right. This beauty runs and feels phenomenal! All I need now is Anna next to me (she can drive if she wants to... and that's saying a lot!!!) :-)

The Boxster has always been a great car. It has a distinct Porsche character. The hard top contributes to the quiet and makes for smoother curves when it is up. However it adds weight and takes more space. Besides, these are the most fun when the sun is out!
Nicely done. Looking at the Boxster to replace my 2006 Mercedes SLK350 that I've driven for 13 years and just looking to get something different. Kudos to the camera person for the great views.

Excellent that you are now testing the range of Porsche vehicles. The 718 Boxster is great mid-engine sports car, a gorgeous design, a great interior, with an excellent use of materials and finishes by Porsche.
It's impossible not to agree with you Anna, the Porsche Boxster is misinterpreted as the Porsche for the poor. The Boxster is aimed at another type of consumer, someone who doesn't care, precisely, what people say. A driver who enjoys and focus on sporty driving pleasure, placidly.
Someone who appreciates the virtues of the automobile.
The 718 Boxster is a very balanced car, dynamically effective, and with rear wheel drive, attributes that make the Boxster an excellent option.
By the way, I really liked the video title: "this naughty canard can growl!" 👏

Thanks to your review I started to like the new 4 cyl. engine in the 718. Sounds quite nice in the tunnels, with the roof open. Most journalists (like Chris Harris) complain about the sound, but it still is a great car overall, and a lot faster in the mid range. Thank you for this review, you seemed really happy behind the wheel, and this is what it is all about.

The sound proofing when the top is up is very good !
It really is! I was positively surprised myself, especially that in this sequence, I have actually had an issue with the microphone so the sound was picked up from the entire car. Porsche has really created a master piece 💛
Got the same car 718 "S" in white a few months ago. Still love it to death. I bought it lightly used for 65K but the original sticker was nearly 90K with all the options. Not exactly a poor man's car. The mid engine and dual clutch really set this car apart. Glad to see some positivity in the comments section.

Another fun video to watch and enjoy! Especially after acquiring a Boxster manual stick one myself, I never know before that driving a car could bring me so much fun and joy after speed above 25 miles:) Actually I savored every moment of 50 miles half island round trip drive at mid night --- when there is almost no traffic at all in Oahu Island:)

The Porsche driving experience will put a smile on your face in any of their models. You never want to stop!
The exhaust note can be improved with a Fabspeed Super Cup Turboback system while dropping 16.4 kg of weight and improving performance by 10 whp and 13 ft-lbs at 4000 rpm. Couple this with an ECU tune and 420+ hp will really blow your dress up!
The Boxster and Cayman are fun cars to drive specially with the top down :)) Porsche make awesome vehicles! Now U have to try the GT3! Love your country side and water scenery! Cute ;-)

Glad I found this video of yours. I traded an (aging) 993 Cab for a new 718 Boxster GTS. Not the least sorry in spite of the newer 4 liter being available this (next) summer (without the PDK) and with the too long gearing of the manual. Think though mine's value surely has taken a hit I have the better value sports car. Smaller than a 911 was a real factor along with no manual trans for me. This thing goes like crazy.

I own a C6 Z06 and a NA Miata. The Corvette has too much power for the road and the Miata could use a bit more power; maybe a 718 Boxster S is a better choice for me. Great review!

One question, why not use the paddles for shifting? The manual trans would be better anyway but I saw the PDK upshift before turn-in which is less than desirable...
You seem to like my summer daily driver, Anna, but you haven't been able to convince me to trade in my NA six cylinder for a FI four-pot. Have to admit you look much more elegant driving it than I do as I wouldn't be able to pull off those matching yellow gloves for one... ;-) Keep up the great reviews and wonderful videography. Cheers from Geneva, Kris PS: be careful with that roof; recommended max. speed when operating it is 50km/h although I have been caught testing it at higher speeds too...

my 2017 porsche manual reads: 30mph or 50kmp. not 70, for Top operation. Are European specs different?
