  • I was finally able to get enough riding in and find time to perform my first service on the Hawk 250 Enduro. I opted to do this at 100 miles (115 actually) but many people wait til 200-250. This video will take you through the full oil change, as well as an overview on valve lash and some other 1st service tips.

    Great video, you made it so simple and basic. I just bought my Raven and I'll change the oil in the first 100 miles

    Fantastic video! Very well shot! I just bought my EFI Hawk and I'm looking forward to putting it together and getting on the road. I'll DEFINITELY use this video when it's time for it's first drink of fresh oil. Cheers!

    Hi I just purchased a Bashan storm, with 1000 km on it I noticed you didn't do any sir cleaner necessary is it recommended at first service ? Thx

      It certainly can't hurt, alot depends on where the bike has been ridden. Lots of dusty offroad riding means you should change your filter more often. In my case the filter has plenty more life in it. You could always take it out and inspect it, it's a pretty quick process.

    How is she holding up? I have a 2021 TBR7D with around 3k miles this season

      Holding up really well, I wasn't able to put on as many miles as I wanted to this year due to weather and some other things going on. I've got an end of season review video planned, but spoiler - I'm very happy with the bike. Good cheap fun.

    I forgot to clean the oil filter screen

    • @skydcontrol
      @skydcontrol  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's ok, get it next time. It shouldn't be an issue unless you have an unusual amount of debris in it.

    So there isn't an oil filter? Just the screen?

    • @skydcontrol

      That is correct, no paper filter.

    Hi I have a 2020 tbr7 I changed the oil in it and I put a quart of oil back in it. According to the dipstick it's too much, the manual says 1.1 liter which is more than the quart it's calling for, would you just trust the dipstick?

    • @skydcontrol
      @skydcontrol  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd go by the sight glass, make sure the bike is sitting upright (not on the side stand) and usually best to have run the engine a few minutes first but not entirely necessary.

      Hey thanks for the reply, however my motorcycle doesn't have a site glass. I drained out all the oil and filled it to the higher mark on the dipstick, it took 21 Oz to get to that mark. I just hope that dipstick is right 👍
