America in its infancy was basically a place to send undesirables to colonize it. Australia was the same premise except it was just supposed to be a prison island rather than a colonization attempt. Australian love potato chips and beer, just like Americans, they just talk a little different, and drive on the other side of the road.

Hey Justin the 6cyl motor you're most likely referring to came out in late 2002 in a new model Falcon codenamed BA.
The motor is called a Barra,an aboriginal name .
The motor also came with a more than effective Turbo option.
Over the next decade plus till 2016 when aust Ford cease production of vehicles ,the development of this motor was an absolute weapon.
The aftermarket build / tuning potential has street cars with up to 1000-1200hp !!!
      Running sub 10sec qtrs.
I have heard that there are current orders from America to aust to purchase ,freight bk to America to install in enthusiasts vehicle's.
That's how good this motor is in its development and design.
      I appreciate it..

As good as this might be for a street rod. Really I see this new motor as a winner for marine applications.
    Especially ski/wake boats.
NA with a cam will see you past 480/500kW (just look at those ports😁.) With loads of torque for that hole shot to pull fat bastards out of the water or move around 2tonnes of wake balast.
Go supercharged and use river water for the working fluid and boom. 700-800kw

I still Love my Misses a little more than an Engine.

Than actually killing someone for this Engine.
Definitely a FUN Engine to put in my FG Ute though.

A 7.3 liter around 445ci on pump gas should make around 667hp based on 1.5 hp per cube. Thats generally considered a good combination for a street car if you can get 1.5 hp per cubic inch my 418 a 351w based build made 670 hp crank i cant remember tq but it was pretty close to 600 ft lbs NA 34 grand for that engine idk. The 418 cost me under 9 grand with off the shelf parts. Powered my 3050lb foxbody 10.40s @137 run after run very consistent NA on 93 pump gas. Drove it 60 ish miles to the track let it cool for an hour then basically hot lapped it in 95* weather 80s when it got dark. Just a test and tune night for me.

@@benwalker4660 your looking at about 2 inches wider on the 445ci valve cover to valve cover about 2 in taller deck and 2.5 inches in difference where the actual engine sits in the k member. Im sure you would need some extra parts or fabrication. You would definitely want a aftermarket k member with the 351w or a 445 for ease of working on things. The strut towers in say a foxbody could be very tight. As far as cheaper to build you can buy the 7.3 from Ford Racing right now for 6999.00 with a 2 year warranty.
