@@GhostlyGhillethey also have DOHC with all kinds of tuning abilities due to multiple different factors. This is a pushrod engine and very different when looking at HP per cube. You will never see a 7.3L DOHC engine be produced by any American car maker.
Awesome stuff Heath. I just stepped up to the new 110mm throttle body on the 2650 on our 7 litre build. Can't wait to see one of these combos in a Mustang or late model Falcon on the strip.

I have my f250 with the godzilla. If a little bit of this power dust could just hit the top of my block I wouldn't complain. Would make towing 18k a little easier.

Bring back the 4.9 straight six with a flow through head. All the power I need to get from point A to point B. All in all its a very nice set-up you got there.
Weight and fuel consumption... but, fuel consumption for this application is a non issue. Weight? I don't see many ways to get power and torque like that without high displacement.
I've got an 1986 F100 SWB 2WD that had a 460ci BB / Turbo 400 in it, and is now a primed rolling shell stored in a garage... been wondering if I would get around to doing anything with it or to sell it off... this would blow my budget...
I wish I could fine a dyno run with a roots style supercharger. I want to build a burn out car with this motor but I dont think they make a intake manifold for a roots blower. Ever thought about doing one? I know their not as efficient but I dont care, just Cruises and car shows. When you have jewelry you dont hide it, you show it off.
I noticed that too, however that nozzle is an oil squirter. The rod head should never come in contact with that section of the cylinder. Sometimes if you do not remove the squirters while assembling/ removing the rods, it could damage the cylinders as seen there.

Maybe you better find some old copies of Mustang and Fast Fords magazines from the early 90s where guys were using a Boss302 block as a foundation to build that Windsor engine to 1200 HP with a power adder. By comparison, this 7.3 is weak sauce

Displacement and flow. This is the first big block made from the bottom up in like half a century, the potential of this engine is insane. Coming from a huge chevy guy.

@@Matp345 a guy a follow has an RCSB 5.0 with an 18 mustang manifold, E85 tune, and a PMAS intake. Truck went 12.4 and 12.2 I believe. That’s impressive as hell for an NA truck if you ask me since I think they run mid 13’s stock.
Too bad these upgrades are so expensive. That motor was made for a truck to pull heavy weights. The torque looks impressive after your upgrades. If someone was willing to spend the $$$, how good would this engine be to use in actual towing situations?
No not no more, if your options was to upgrade a coyote 5.0 or a 7.3 Godzilla it would be cheaper getting the Godzilla. 7.3 you get longevity depending on boost levels and reliability vs a 5.0. My 5.0 blew a rod out the bottom through the oil pan and the 7.3 is going to be the new engine that is going to be placed in the car, since a upgraded coyote is going to set you back 20Gs minimum. Yes you can get cheaper but my build needs to handle 1,000hp daily and that becomes pricey on the 5.0 coyote.

Procharger has a low boost unit that gives the 7.3 600hp/725ft lbs @ the wheels.. .@ only 5 psi of boost!

I think Power nation built a 4.9 with 540 hp it was quite interesting, I had one in my truck 350,000 miles and it ran perfect.

Just use an Australian Barra Six ! 500 HP is almost factory stock for the 2017 Turbo Falcon 436 HP

it's in a dyno room, they're climate controlled.
once it's in an engine bay you'll want to feed it fresh air.
