    This has transitioned from a model to an absolute work of art. Sincerely. Bravo.

    This is the first time I have seen the funnel rigging set been used. When I created the instructions it was based on theory. But it nice to see some practical methods used here.
    You’ve made a nice neat job of it Robby 🎉

      Hi Neil,
      Thank you! It was a bit of a learning curve for sure but your instructions were very clear (far clearer than KA) so good job! And thanks again for the wonderful PE!
      Stay well,
      Robbie

    You did an incredible job on the final project. For years I've wanted a model of the Titanic, but I lack the patience, tools, workspace, and skill to complete it. I was considering purchasing this model and commissioning someone to build it.

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, thank you for the comment!
      I certainly get these constraints. Such projects take up a wealth of space and it can be a right pain.
      There are certainly people out there that will do commission builds though.

    Wow. I would say this is the most amazing looking model of the Titanic i seen. The amount of attention to detail and effort is what makes it so great. The Guy wires really help give it a new level of scale and adds more to look at. Don't sink it on it maiden voyage down at the pond.

    According to the information I have, trumpeter is coming out with future RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic 1/200 kits.. that is.. According to what I've been told, if that's the case maybe you could do either one of those ships if they come out in the future. Been watching your episodes Rob since you first did them but haven't found the right time to message and comment till now, I've got the brand new 1/200 Gneisenau and that'll go well with my 1/200 USS Arizona that I made back in 2021. When you've completed this stunning work of art you've been making.. get a good cold drink to celebrate. Stunning work Rob, you should be proud of this work you've done.👏.

    Unintentional though it was, watching the latest video tonight at 8:45pm felt eerie in itself - seeing the ship almost complete with such accurate lighting, it really does look like the real thing at this time 111 years ago. Excellent work as always, can't wait to see more. Enjoy your holiday!

      Thanks Garry, it makes for a very strange light in the living room on an evening!
      I was a little disappointed as I’d quite fancied sailing her on the 10th April, but oh well, not long to go.
      Cheers, just away home for a few days but will be nice to have a relax!

      @@TheModelBoatGuy I bet it looks stunning, I'd have to sit in complete darkness with just the ship lights 😄First of September would be a fitting tribute too, looks like you could have her finished by then.

    Looking good Robbie. It would be nice to see you build another model like this. Without the restrictions of RC (weight) and including a lot of the upgrades that came out after the fact. Your RC model is an art in itself though. But it might be much doing two in a row of these.

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Vis, yeah in some ways it might have been easier to just not make this model RC!
      I think in future i will probably stop sailing it, and will then add all the details I haven’t added yet, like Woodys side photo etch.
      But that’s a while off!

    • @viswanathanpather6849
      @viswanathanpather6849 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Rob, yes the stays anchoring parts look like a slightly finer scale to the KA perhaps? (Well done Neil, quality work). Rob, I expect you have forgotten to breath a few times when lining those parts up!! Good work anyway. Enjoy your escape! Now priming brass hull and dabbling with other parts. All pad eyes now done too😬 Stay safe! Regards JH⚓

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Evening John,
      Yeah it was a nervy process for sure. Mistakes are becoming harder to hide now!
      It’s a really nice set of PE actually, fine enough to look the business, but defined enough to be visible. Very well judged, and the instructions are very clear which is always welcome.
      Good stuffs on the hull! It will start to look like a launch day Olympic soon!
      Keep well,
      Robbie

    This is an amazing build! I can’t wait to see her maiden voyage on open water but will also be sad to see the build finished. Do you have any idea the number of man hours you spent building this ship?

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I feel quite similar really, mixed emotions about finishing her.
      Man hours wise, absolutely no idea! It’s deceptive because I spent a lot of time when we were locked down during the pandemic. Suffice to say a lot, if I said 10 hours per week since I started that is 1404!

      This is a liquid that makes CA glue (superglue) dry almost instantly. It’s called Activator or ‘kicker’
