  • This is the eighty-eighth in a series of videos I’m going to produce to document the building of my Trumpeter 1:200 model Titanic. In this episode I cover:
    - Fitting the lines for funnel painting.
    - Fitting formast rigging.
    - Fitting mainmast rigging.
    - Fitting the Marconi array.
    If you want to see more regular updates have a look at my Instagram page (same name as the channel). I post photos as I'm building there so you don't have to wait for the videos to be edited!

    Almost 3 years in the making of this model. It will always make me shed a tear realising just how beautiful she was.

    Utterly magnificent and stunning, the souls lost on the real one and of course to the families of those that both died and survived have been done the biggest justice ever. This is the most stunningly beautiful RMS Titanic model I've ever seen. Great job, well done Rob 👏 👍

    Amazing work there! SPACERS on the Marconi lines -- That's brilliant frankly, wish I would have thought of that!

    You know what you should do, place a small audio player in the general area where the marconi room was that has sounds of morse code playing lightly

    I think I'd need a checklist to make sure I had detached everything... otherwise, 'ping, twang and snap!' followed by expletive!
    Sterling work as always

    Simply amazing! I really have enjoyed and learned more with all the engineering that went into this project. Out of my curiosity, where did the phrase “and Bob’s your uncle” come from? You use it as “done” I believe. I use it now here in Washington state and people just look at me like I’m crazy. 😂

    Excellent video!
    Maybe its just me, but the lights feel to bright, I can barely see the navigation lights next to them

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The camera is a bit misleading here, the lights are significantly less bright than they appear, but some are still a bit white, and need to be toned down a touch

    are you going to add Jack and Rose to the front of the ship

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have painted some figures of Jack and Rose and show this in an earlier video, but I won’t be adding them permanently.
      I am making this model as realistic to the real world as possible so sadly Jack and Rose have to go!

    Hi again where do I get the hooks from as they're not in the kit and how do I fasten the rigging to the deck

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well I bought an add on set which included those hooks (quite expensive):
      ka-models.co.kr/?product=1200-rms-titanic-dx-pack-for-trumpeter&ckattempt=1
      Another option would be to make your own, perhaps bending some fine brass wire?
