    Those reflections on the water.... stunning! Can't wait to see this in the lake.... at night! 🙂

    I have watched your videos from the beginning. Having built detailed models to1:76 scale and found that difficult enough. I admire your skill totally and more particularly your eyesight. It's 1:200 after all.

    After all the magnificent things I’ve watched you do on this work of art, I have to say I’m actually surprised you didn’t install pumps and a trim system lol.

      Now that’s an idea! Perhaps slightly overkill, though it would be an interesting little project

    Wow, you have continued to amaze us and as everyone else has said, she is stunning. Thank you for sharing your talent and your most beautiful TITANIC with us all.

    This was the very first video that The Almighty Algorithm threw my way, and needless to say it was an instant sub for me. I'm just starting your playlist at the beginning. You're inspiring me to finally get my act together on my threats to convert my Trumpeter Nelsol model to RC, or finish my Yamato model.
    It's all your fault!
    Keep up the great work, friend.

    Utterly magnificent and stunning work. Just gorgeous work of art you've done there, you've done her proud and all the souls who we're on her. Captain Smith would be smiling at that Rob, museum quality work of art you've done, magnificent. Once the RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic come out you'll blow us away if ever you choose to do those, congratulations mate. Well done 👏 👍

    Hi Rob, she is looking really good now. Yes you may find a slight difference in buoyancy in the boating lake perhaps making her sit up a bit higher. You will be able to start construction of the berg soon!!!!! This project has taken a while but she is a credit to you in you're patience and ingenuity. First class! Regards JH ⚓ I will send an update email soon!

      Hi John,
      Yeah I actually did a bit of sailing today and she defiantly sits a little bit different in the lake to the bath. No surprise really.
      I am in the process of crafting an email to you too. So expect soon!
      Thank you for the comment, it’s been a long old slog but grand to have got it finished (almost, some tiny little touches to finish off.
      Speak soon,
      Robbie

    When I ballasted and first trim my flower class corvette I used a layer of self adhesive car wheel weights. I found this very good as the weight is spread, even up the sides of the hull. This resulted in a very stable and believable motion on the water with a reduction of fast pitching and rolling that often makes beautiful models look like toys when on the water. If my memory serves me correctly I paid about £10 for about 7Kg of weights.

    such an insane amount of detail even for a static model on the hull and top deck, let alone an RC one that can be handled and have the top removed with rigging and all unaffected plus lighting, and proper ballasting, and passengers! amazing job.

    Can you try the 2.5° port list?

  • @thernotsoealmackay
    @thernotsoealmackay ปีที่แล้ว

    Absolutely stunning! Your initial calculations were pretty much spot on when it comes to weight distribution. Even in the bath, those photos are a work of art. On an unrelated note, I'd also like to know, how long it took you to construct and decorate that very lifelike rubber ducky 😂

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, yeah they are relatively good. It makes a difference depending on how many minerals are dissolved in the water too because she sits a little lower in the water at the lake.
      The ducky, Harold was bought many years ago so did not have any creative input from me, but he’s a good friend to have

    Fun fact Robbie: Titanic did actually have a 3°‬ list to port because of the coal being transferred with the fire

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that’s correct. My read on this is that it would probably have been corrected by the time my model is set (3/4 days out of Southampton) as the fire was out and the trimmers would have had plenty of time to correct the list by moving coal about from other bunkers. That said if I was doing a port side model I’d probably include it!

  • @user-xg8yb6zl7t
    @user-xg8yb6zl7t ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think the titanic had a list about 1 or between 4 degrees to port

    • @TheModelBoatGuy
      @TheModelBoatGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah she did as she left port. Something to do with the coal bunker fire I believe. Amazing the weight of that stuff really
