Board james used to be something very relaxing to watch during most episodes in this season, but the plot he came up with after made everything actually pretty suspenseful.

The Dream Phone episode was far more entertaining, clever, and fun then 99% of the stuff Hollywood makes these days. That was engaging film making. If i owned a studio, id totally give you a big budget to see what you could come up with..... I cant believe i just discovered Board James. Its fricken great stuff.

I played the hell out of Key to the Kingdom when I was a kid! I thought my friends and I were the only people who remembered this one. However, I remember the rules being fairly ambiguous which caused a lot of arguments. Several times they actually devolved into someone being chased out of the house with a knife (we were intense kids). Or maybe the rules weren't ambiguous and we were just stupid. Or trying to cheat. That is a real possibility.
I know AVGN is the hit, and I love AVGN and I enjoyed the AVGN movie as well. However I believe that when people are looking back on the early career of James Rolfe they will call Board James his masterpiece, his magnum opus. Watching these reminds new how thankful I am that we have someone with the talent and passion needed to create something like this. If the average person understood the amount of work that goes in to filmmaking these videos would have a million likes and everyone would be begging to give whatever they could to a Patreon to help out lol.

Im so happy that i started watching board james i actually got into boardgames because of this series its so amazing that his content really doesnt get old.
Loopin' Louie was probably my favorite episode. The guy that did the voice of Marty in the Back To The Future game, Happy Video Game Nerd (who started in the Outnerd the Nerd contest like 10 years ago, he and James are good friends now), Angry Joe, Kevin Finn... It was amazing seeing everyone playing the game and having a blast.

I’ve watched this several times over the years. This is by far one of the most outrageous disturbing, but very possible scenarios with someone that has dissociative identity disorder.
There's something that always bugged me about the end of the Splat! review. Honestly? I was kind of hoping to see a shot of the multicolored Playdoh vomit. I mean, I know it's a gross and immature idea for a joke, but given all the puke/shit/blood effects James has done in the past, a rainbow of Playdoh puke seems like it would have been right up his alley.
The new more twisted episodes are creative and twisted, but I'd rather Board James went through some kind of reboot to its roots. Then you can progressively do something different or dark for, say, a Halloween special. I don't think Board James needs much of a logical explanation to either of those twists. To me, Board James has gone through some similar changes to those of South Park: the sagas are cool, fun, and epic, but I personally prefered South Park when characters felt like children and stories were more of a blend of childhood innocence and cruelty, because that was more relatable than Cartman saving the world from Cthulhu or whatever.

And the game is really fun. I love the combat, but the crossbows and archers were messed up. The recurve bows could shoot further than the crossbow in history.
A play doh board game that’s GENIUS. Imagine a 2021 version where you get to create your own character with template parts for arms and legs. Then minigames (somehow) where you have to do some Cranium Cadoo type molding. Then you’re ultimately building some bigger playdoh creation with some playdoh reward from the minigames. And for example it could be like Jenga where if it falls apart you incur some penalty

I, for one, am happy he didn't give a shot of vomit. It's been one of the things I dislike about some of his videos.
I think that the effects couldn't live up to whatever your imagination could come up with and I think that was the intent of the gag.
