Free Picture Settings for LG OLED TV | Get Your Picture To Pop (Works in 2024!)

- Juice up your favorite LG 2022 or 2021 TV I will guide you through helping you obtain your HDR preference settings that you will hopefully enjoy! I made this trying to match my personal Samsung S95B's juiced settings to the LG C2 & G2, a lot of what I say in this video isn't intended to be accurate just fun and poppy it mostly focuses on game mode & game optimizer settings though you can apply some of it movie or sports modes as well. I made this guide for 2022 & 2021 OLED TVs like the C1, C2, G1, & G2 as well as their A & B counter parts, though a lot of the same logic should be applicable to LG's LCD TVs like QNED or Nano Cell TVs. Hey KG I've juiced up my OLED and Miniled and FALD TV's. I didn't over do it but I've gotten awesome picture quality as a result. People who don't have their TV's calibrated should learn how to play around with the picture settings because that's what they are there for. You can always adjust them back to something else if you don't like what you see. I have my TV's balanced between accurate and the way I like to watch content.
Interesting take KG, do you still recommend the S95B for movies, gaming and all round entertainment ?, I am not overly worried about Tizen cause in the UK we get two remote out of the box, the regular one with all the inputs and the solar one.

I just bought a 55 inch LG C2 today from my local best buy and it’s definitely noticeably brighter than my CX I sold..so if you go from a cx to c2 it’s definitely worth the upgrade
Same here, I also went from the CX to the C2 and, your right its a noticeable difference
Something to try , again it’s not accurate before I get flamed lol.
But similar to what you are doing at the tv level tweak,
If you go to settings on Xbox , and accessibility/ colour filters/ change drop down menu to the second. This seems to boost the green/ red , it makes the picture come alive!

Hey KG, just wanted to thank you for your videos and advise. I ended up getting my first OLED this year and it is unbelievable. I ended up getting a C2 and I couldn't be happier. It is super bright and punchy compared to my old samsung and the contrast is incredible. I did have a question about the latest LG's that I was hoping you or someone from the community could help me with. I use my Xbox series X as my primary media device (I am not a fan of the internal OS and apps), and I found that the picture/motion settings in SDR don't seem to work. I also noticed some setting are greyed out even when I completely disable game optimizer and VRR. Everything in HDR/Dolby vision seems to work perfectly. I also had issues with some of these SDR setting on the internal apps as well. Have you come across this bug?
I seem to recall the C2 has a missing setting that the C1 had. something about "no in between" with the motion setting. I might be way off but im sure someone out there can fill in the blanks. Either way, you couldn't go wrong with that set. its just gorgeous. I went with a 77 C1 because im broke but im greedy. wouldve loved a C2 but couldn't afford a 77.. and im greedy.. with my eyeballs

Have you enabled boost mode? Boost mode may disable some settings. Also your tv might be in pc mode. What kind of icon shows up on the screen where you choose a input?
Does it make a difference to allow me to do the settings you are doing but I can't high peak contrast is it because I have older xbox do you have the xbox series x 🤔 some of my settings are gray u can do more than me I have a new oled c1 ultra TV that can handle 120Hz and uhd etc 🤔 my xbox isn't the newest xbox

Hey man doubt you'll reply but in DTM On the screen slowly brighten up sometimes like the brightness isn't consistent is there a fix to this? I'm on C1

Hi Kg, what max luminance should i put in games , did you calibrate your tv with hgig and then switched to dtm?
800 nits for non-MLA and 1500 nits for MLA is what I go with, if your using hgig stay on hgig the whole time even during the setup screen

Yes, of course I think it’ll work just fine as all LG OLEDs work very similarly for these types of settings
Surely DTM would be the worse choice as it is always adjusting the brightness depending on the scene. Experimenting with HGiG or Tone mapping off would’ve been a better choice. Good vid tho, I love game optimiser.
Sdr and Ps4 pro enhanced I use Tone mapping on. Hdr leave Hgig on. I try not drive my self crazy over settings. lol Lgc177
@@formeitwastuesday.1515 when I first got my C1 I didn’t like that HGiG wasn’t as bright as DTM. I’ve had it for over a year now and prefer HGiG. Cyberpunk2077 & Forza H5 just look gorgeous. I know they don’t natively support HGiG but the results are still stunning.

You have to be in an hdr source as it is not a functioning setting in SDR

My C1 doesn’t have the color gamut options. No dynamic option. And it’s fully updated.
Can be pc mode, or allm, or boost mode in game mode( affects only some settings)
Doesn’t it just look yellow? Idk I have my HGIG on and -20 warm and just seems very yellow. Only had it for 4 days everyone says to give it a week or two. I’m debating returning this and getting Sony a80k but I assume it looks the same there too would you happen to know?Should I just give in and change it to cool? Or try warm some more?
With those settings, what color temp you recommend using?
I would say it’s really up to the user, I personally use a warmer color temperature because I’ve gotten used to it, but I don’t see any issues using a colder temperature if that’s what your like.
I use warm 35. Standard is way to white, everything looks fresh, but bit atmosphere and straining for the eyes.

@@wisdomb4086 It's the best OLED ever made by LG so far with thier highest brightness, best for gaming, motion is second best next to Sony and great for watching shows and movies
I noticed that in the game optimizer the other modes also adds edge enhancement. Which is not a problem but its sadly a lot. Its like turning sharpness to 30-40. On most games I play this looks worse. Sharper yes but if you have fine grass it looks way to harsh
Just turn off super resolution, and adjust sharpness to 10

Controlled juiced is the best. Creator’s intent is overrated to an extent. Like with headphones. I can appreciate the fidelity but at the same I find my self listening to headphones while still being HIfi has a little spice.
It is overrated. I do agree that there should be a filmmaker mode so that we can know what the creator’s intent is n compare. But Jus coz the creator graded sth in their way doesn’t mean it always looks the best doesnt matter how much money or effort has been poured into it. So much money is spent on making a movie/show but most of the content nowadays are shit even the cgi. So if these ppl can criticise creator’s content, y do they worship creator’s intent? I customised my settings for sdr, hdr10, hdr10+ n dv (s95b n c1) n looks so much better than dull filmmaker mode in almost all of the cases. Oh n when will they stop making movies at 24 fps.
Medium color uprade is my choice to juice it up. High adds too much blue. Medium already adds a lot, high overdoes it.
Low is every different. It cuts red and boosts green a bit more. Still a small blue push
I was almost the exact same settings on my C1 for my juiced up gaming mode.
The black stabilizer and white stabilizer vary between games as to what's best so I try to have multiple modes ready to go.
I keep standard at 10/10 and play with the rest to my liking so they all do something different.

Haha ha ha ha ha ha ha I have a poppin picture because I know how to use picture settings. I have had TVS for so many years I've really learned how to use picture settings to make my TV'S looking incredible. Some people when they buy a TV and take it home they just plug and play and don't even touch the picture settings. My theory is aren't picture settings there to be used? Oh well if they are satisfied with the plug and play from a TV then so be it.
