    Cinema looks too dark for me. I know it's more color accurate, but vivid just looks much better for me. I like to see movies pop and not dull.

    Filmmaker mode seems to disregard all of the processing tech that went into engineering the tv… to me I want to to look way better than just a movie theatre.

    I use VIVID for both SDR and HDR. I have tweaked the colors a little down. I think they other presets are too dark unfortunately. Im also not going for realism but the image should "pop" which is does on VIVID.

      With Vivid the brightness is close to 100, i guess!

      Vivid looks horrible. If you want colors to pop just use higher color depth.

    • @lassekristensen385

      @@LawinReborn I think it looks the best, I have tried all the other modes of course.. but the thing with livid is also its a notch brighter which is very important for me. Its actually mainly why I use it due to increased brightness. I tried all the other and LOVE vivid in gaming and desktop mode. Its important of course to set the tv to PC mode so no fancy TV filters and features are active like dynamic contrast etc.

    For playing PC in HDR, 80-90 of brightness is a good configuration to preserve the TV? Most people recommend set the brightness to 100 in this mode. Thanks.

    I use Cinema Home for Dolby Vision (100 pix, 100 cont, Peak High, Auto dyn. cont. off, Warm 30, smooth gradation Low, gamma 2.2, TrueMotion on Cinematic Movement). SDR is on 80 pix. brightness, contrast 90, peak Low, Warm 30, gamma 2.2 ...

      How do you use your tone mapping in Dolby vision I just got this tv I don’t see this option when I nThis mode

    • @madant7777
      @madant7777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IB1GMANI There is no "HDR tone mapping" option in Dolby Vision IQ, only in standard HDR10, Dolby does it automatically. In HDR10 you have it, but the result differs from material to material, meaning you will have to change it to see which setting (on/off) is better for a specific movie, especially in darker scenes - it raises the black level so it can over-brighten the scene where it should not.

      Poštovanje - svakako odlično pitanje koje ću pokriti tijekom testa C3 OLED TV-a i pripadajućeg soundbara. Do tad, ja bih ostavio sve postavke na televizoru na standardne i uključio eARC kako bi se najkvalitetniji audio formati mogli poslati u soundbar. Primjer prave primjene eARC-a i gdje ima pravi benefit možete vidjeti u ovom videu: th-cam.com/video/-gR-eac5hIM/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Darko. I have an LG C2 65-inch oled tv. You mentioned for the best picture mode, choosing depending on HDR/SDR/or Dolby. How do I know what mode I'm in? HDR/SDR or Dolby? Thanks.

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tommy - picture modes change automatically depending on the type of content that is playing. During playback, you can press OK button on the remote and you will see details about the signal. In addition to that, in picture settings names of picture modes will be different, if there is HDR in the name then it is HDR10 content, if Dolby Vision then that's the incoming signal.

    What setting for the best srgb color accuracy

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  ปีที่แล้ว

      Same as in this video, just make sure Color gamut is set to Auto for TV to correctly map sRGB (which is same as BT.709) and also check black level. For PC connection it should be full range 0-255, but confirm this in PC’s display settings.

    Probably the most useless guide I ever saw. Light sensor? Thats your pro tip? Its the first thing that should be permanently turned off when you get your C2.
    And warm 50.. No thanks.. No mention of tone mapping settings, or fine tuning blacks and whites in game optimiser, which is like the best feature on this TV, wow... Or how to get around tinting issues with certain colors, my C2 bleeds green all over the panel and its hard to get the colors right without professional calibration..

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for the comment. The purpose of this video is to guide owners of LG 2022 TVs to which picture presets and which settings they need to pay attention to. It is easy for someone who is familiar with TVs menus, but trust me so many people simply don't have time/interest to explore the settings menus and end up watching they great new TV in awful modes such as Eco or Standard.
      Why should light sensor be turned off permanently? I have it turned off on my TV, but some may prefer it not to adjust brightness during the day or evening/night.
      Which color temperature do you prefer?
      At the end, this video is a basic guide and more details are mentioned in the documents that are available in my calibration store.

    There’s no correct calibration all games and movies have a different black level and brightness lg oled can’t get to those correct levels on its own people say oh this is correct there isn’t one games movies all have different zone level’s have to make the brightness higher to reach the correct level black level needs to be set higher to depend on how dark a game or movie is resident evil village the game is so dark you have to make the brightness and black level higher to make the box disappear almost being able to see the inside of the brightness box is what you don’t want if a game bright make the tv darker if a game dark make it brighter there are concepts of one way is right but there isn’t for TH-cam it’s not gonna be accurate so changing colors and making the tv brightness higher is gonna make your tv better for TH-cam and movie watching colors aren’t accurate out of the box if watching on phone your tv colors are off by a tint of 18 green because the default color is too red sharpness 30 for sdr hdr sharpness 0 hdr sharpness 0 because it smoothness the background and 30 for hdr will make it annoying for anyone that games that watches movies at hdr lg oleds aren’t bright enough out of the factory changing black level and contrast will make the picture more accurate for what your doing dark games brightness 100 contrast 100 bright games brightness 45 contrast 85 very dark 100 100 dark level 60
