100% this. I used HGIG initially, but quite a few HDR games just looked dull and washed out. I like the idea of a universal standard for HDR, but it only works if everyone is on board and calibrating their games accordingly.
Does the TV allow you to save settings for each HDR and SDR? In other words, do I have to modify these settings every time I switch from HDR to SDR content? Edit: I think I found my answer. Don't forget, your settings are edited by default on a per-input basis. You have to hit "apply to all inputs" at the end too..."

LG themselves say, if you use your TV a lot and have the pixel brightness, screen brightness set too full, your TV will die a quick death! Some people are vegetables and do nothing but play games all day..... If you have a C2, and you play 8 hours of games a day, most games are HDR and you have your settings cranked up too 100, you will kill your TV ridiculously fast!
I have my pixel and screen brightness set to 70 and it is so bright! it looks gorgeous and will last a lot longer than having it maxed out.
When in hdr, changing the dynamic tone mapping to Hgig all my brightness’s is gone
My c2 won’t go over 60 fps on game optimisation
I hope to get the 65 C2
When i turn on my c2 from the magic controller ps5 turns on to automatically.anyone know how to deactivate it?
Why is my GAMMA not changeable ??
Could you please confirm how the PS5's output on C2 is when you set the aspect ratio to 32:9? Does the image have both letterbox and pillarbox? Or just a letterbox with a stretched image? Plz have the PS5 output on 1080p for this.
I am coming from a 24" monitor and 42" would be too large at first for me, so a downsized image size on 32:9 aspect ratio would suit me
PS5 can only do 16:9 so it’d probably have the black bars on top and the left and right too.
❤
That makes zero sense lmao
Why Sharpness in 0?
Great video - thanks 👍
My advice: leave sharpness to 10 and white balance to warm 30.
thank you iam test the day :-)
Hgig is much too dark. I have turn on (both) gsync and freesync on and vrr off on ps5, then the Performance settings on in ps5. Perfekt 👍
i tried hgig but kind of too dim and colors is like less.
