helpful video! I have all my components ready to build, but the Lian Li Galahad won't come for another 3 weeks because of backorder. So I am waiting impatiently to put it all together. I thought maybe I could put it all together but the fact that I have to access the back of the motherboard to install the CPU cooler makes me wait instead.. actually the Corsair 5000D air flow. Let you access the back to attach the CPU cooler bracket so it's perfect

great video! i desperately needed a new water cooler (mine was failing so could barely browse the internet without overheating). micro center just opened and i grabbed the 240 for a fair price. this was a life saver for me. so thanks again!
p.s. for anyone installing a new aio water cooler, 2 tips if you have the spring screws: 1) they are meant to be torqued evenly, so when removing loosen each one a bit then go back 1 by one and fully unscrew and they should unseat evenly. if they get stuck and/or you strip the screw, order some screw remover pliers of amazon. they do not slip the way standard needle nose pliers will. i purchased 2 pairs, using the first to grip the rear head of the screw (on the back of the motherboard) and the other pair to manually turn the screw (since i stripped 2 screws), and they came right out. thanks again kleebz tech!
mine doesnt screw all the way. maybe i should try balancing them tommorow and see what happens

very cool. extremely helpful and clear :) The only thing now is to install both at once, carryign both and putting them into my smallerish case. I have lian li fans, lian lia AIO cooler above, and lian lia white with glass case. First bling build since 2002.

did they change the back mounting bracket? Mine comes with 2 different brackets for the back that are plastic like yours, 1200 and 1700, their website shows one huge metal bracket, even their website shows this huge metal bracket in the back? A little confused.

I have the Lian li III case with 3 included RGB fans connected to a controller. There are three spare male connectors from the included controller. I should be able to connect the Galahad AIO to one of these spare connectors, correct?

Can you use the same screws with the LGA 1200 bracket?
On the last step for the rgb i looked for a 3 pin connector but couldn’t find one on my mb, they are all 4 pins and i can’t seem to plug it in because the connector has the 4 pin plugged which doesn’t allow me to connect it into a 4 pin connector. What should i do?
I have the Galahad 240 SL, prebuilt in Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh case with standard fans. Galahad is hooked to CPU_FAN and AIO_PUMP on MB. All the fans are spinning but the BIOS doesn't see the CPU fan at all. AIO Pump is recognized tho. Any ideas?

Why are you not plugging the aio cable directly into the aio pump header on the motherboard?
did you control the rgb from lian li software??with out the hub of lian li sl?
once u plug everything in. I used the new fans that piggy back there connectors. my AOI didnt light up. its pumping but no lights

Dude how do I uninstall it? It unscrewed the stand off from the backplate and it's not possible to get the spring screws out wth
You have to tighten them all the way down To get correct calling
im a bit confused what do i do with the three cables that come out from each one of my fans. Basically each fan on the top has one plug and I plugged one of them into the motherboard but two more need to plugged in and I cant find spots for it to go into and I dont have anything that connects them all to one hub which plugs into the pc and all three fans turn on. Please help.
Watch 03:47 for how to connect the fans. If you do not have the splitter then verify nothing has changed in the instructions since we made this video. It may be missing parts in the box.
Did the lga 1700 bracket come in the box? Their website claims it does as of December. I tend not to believe companies sometimes...lol Great vid btw!

I need help, the rgb does not light up on the round pump, and one of the fan rgb is half flickering and sometimes wont turn off
Double check to make sure you have everything plugged in correctly, if you do, then it could be a faulty header on your motherboard
Great video! could you use Lian Li UNI fans instead? So that you only have one cable and the fans are all connected?
Of course, I'm pretty sure they sell a version of the Galahad with Uni fans as well.
@@KLEEBZTECH Thank you, building my first PC. I don't see a version on their website that sells that, the current version that came out in Dec 2021 still uses three separate fans and cables.

Lancool 3, galahad 360 is painful... so many connectors and modules. My mobo is reading the 3x fans on the 360 and the pump head as 1 rgb.

Isn't the plastic wrap covering the cold plat there because there is already thermal paste on it? I know most AOI's come pre applied with paste.
Ours didn't have any pre applied paste, instead it had a syringe of thermal paste with way more than you'll actually need

there are 2 connections coming from the pump, why did you only plug one in? Is one sufficient or do you need to plug both of them in?
If you watch later in the video we connect the second wire.
What do you do with the 2nd wire coming from the pump?
The first one we cover at 03:07 and the second one is mentioned at 05:28.
I’m super confused because your motherboard has holes on the back that mine doesn’t have so im not sure how to install the back piece with the sticky adhesive

If I understood the fan radiators goes always to the CPU fan headers, and the pump 3 pines go to pump connector right?
I was a bit confused as I have a z690 steel legend asrock and it says:
1 x CPU Fan Connector (4-pin)***
- 1 x CPU/Water Pump Fan Connector (4-pin) (Smart Fan Speed Control)****
- 5 x Chassis/Water Pump Fan Connectors (4-pin) (Smart Fan Speed Control)*
So i'm guessing If I want control the radiator fans speed I should avoid connecting directly to the normal cpu fan connector 4 pin, and just use instead a CPU 4 pin (smart fan speed control, right)

Yes that sounds like how you would want to do it. Your pump should be running at 100% and then have your fans hooked up so you can control their speed

You may need to return it or contact support. Could be missing from package.
You put the fans as exhaust?
If you rewatch that part of the video, we explain why you might want to mount the fans either way. It depends on how you are mounting your radiator.
Is the backplate really made of plastic? Asking coz I can only get this from Ali express. Paying huge shipping fee for a plastic backplate seems really stingy

Depends on where you buy it, on Amazon there is a listing that specifies it will have the bracket, but an older model on a shelf at say Micro Center may not have it

There are many factors like case airflow that will have an impact on that. Obviously it will run hotter but if you have good airflow otherwise it might be fine. Just make sure to keep an eye on temps at first to make sure.

Did exactly the same and get CPU temperature error?
Try plugging it into a different header on your motherboard, if that doesn't work you may have a broken pump
@@KLEEBZTECH thank you for the reply. I tried AIO_PUMP, CPU_FAN, CPU_OPT all of them, felt some vibration in the AIO but still the temps are HIGH
Maybe try remounting it and double check you've used all the correct hardware, redo the thermal paste etc. If none of that works it might be a pump issue

What a mess! I bought this aio thinking it was the one where the fans interlock with 2 cables coming off the fan on the end. Headache to cable manage!

That one will have inputs for your fans and the ARGB from the fan as well, and then it has a cable that connects to sata power, and another that should have a 3 pin connector for your motherboard if it's the one I am familiar with

that thermal paste is junk. i reapplied with mx-4 and dropped 12 degrees in cinebench on a 12900k. the included stuff was thermal throttling at 100 degrees Celsius.
I noticed that its made from plastic. Is the kit really good? I should know before building my pc next month. I hope you answer me quickly :)

@@amirbarjakli3383 if you buy the galahad be very careful when tightening the pump to the cpu bracket. Let the springs do the work. Do not tighten very much. Use your fingers and dont go all the way

@@amirbarjakli3383 I have the 12900k and i did not win the cpu lottery. Im still happy with my choice. So many variables. With xmp1 i get 99c with cinebench r23. With xmp2 i get 94c. With xmp2 and an undevolt of 0.05000 i get 88c. Those are max temps, not average. My cinebench score is only in the 25xxx but gaming is fantastic and runs at 50c all day. I also have a asus tuff RTX 3080 oc.

I do know they were providing the kit for the LGA 1700 initially and they probably still do but it does not include the mounting screws. It only includes the standoffs and bracket.
I’m in a lot of trouble then cause I have the 360mm aio but two screws are missing thought about going to my closest micro center to see if they would have anything but idk if it would be worth the hour drive
