Seat the CPU before taking off the ILM to prevent a potentially expensive accident.

Came here to say the same thing. As soon as I removed the old bracket I dropped a screw and damaged the pins in the CPU socket. I had to replace a $225 motherboard that I had just bought.

It turned out MSI has "Lite Load" option in the BIOS and by default it's set quite high, what it does it sky rockets the voltages (pretty much for no reason, but in theory it's supposed to improve stability) I have turned it down and my temperatures went from 95 Oc to 70. Your video and GN's video are the only ones that go into detail about the tightening the screws, yours even more so than GN's in that regard. All the other one's, even thermaltakes own tutorial, basically just say "Tighten the screws until they're tight 😄👍". Anyway, all that to say, thanks for the great video lol.

If somebody is a little jittery removing that ILM and drop it in the socket you will absolutely damage the pins in the socket. • @Mannyocrity

I am backing off the screw, so just turning it the wrong way. e.g. not tightening it. This is just to get it to seat correct, so it threads properly. The click is the screw popping up a little bit in the hole. I am not holding anything behind it to make the noise. My hand is on the bottom side holding the back of the bracket up, but that is it.
