Keep us updated on warranty stuff please. Have a 24 with a brake issue that the dealer says 50/50 BRP may or may not cover. Which by your comments seems as if your unsure as well. I'm my situation, the manual says I light would come on for a brake issue, which on my model, apparently is not the case. But again, the manual clearly says otherwise. But BRP is being very slow to respond to my warranty claim submission. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing but I've heard issues of slow time in getting warranty stuff handled
The limiter strap comes with a zip tie on it from the factory. If it was removed during pdi, that may have caused it to rub and break. Check the 850 to see if it has a zip tie and replicate it on your new strap.
Great video Sir. Only thing is that you should not lower your rmotion blocks from 3 to 2 if you want the skis to stay more on the ground. You need to go the other way around. From 3 to 4. The 2 setting will lift the front even more. The lower the number, the more the skis lift and the higher the number, the skis will grab the snow in the corners much better. Thanks for sharing your advice for the chain case oil change. 👍🏻🤘🏻
I would reset the suspension back to where it was and try it with the new strap. Then start your adjusting. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the video on the oil change process.
Great video Mike !! Lucky you found that missing rear axle dust cover.. That’ll cost ya at least 5-10km’s on top end speed with aerodynamics.. 😉🤣 Cheers 🍻
@@mikeguliz 🤣😂 Great news that your ski wasn’t an AC-2. I’m hearing the left skis are already on backorder if your dealer doesn’t have one in stock your “SOL”. You check the 850?
It's super annoying the oil filter container doesn't drain on its own. I ended up sucking out the excess with a syringe...after i made a disaster of a mess with oil.
@@mikeguliz Well hopefully they cover it. Who the heck would expect a limiter strap to break with the sled not even out of break in yet. That’s just wild. Maybe that 210 kit was too much power. lol.
@@mikegulizDoes it still have the stock torsion springs? If so you need larger ones, stock ones are only good for maybe 80-90 kg riders. Should not need sport+ to keep it from bottoming, I have to ride mine pretty hard on comfort to even bottom it out.
Yes I know the smart shocks don't have rebound that was more for people with that feature accelerated technologies has a flash for the smart shocks to help with that
I was just thinking on the new KY shocks the clicker knob just both the high speed compression and the rebound so stiffer is stiffer on both I just noticed your rear clicker knob is missing
As RN+DH Pete says "She Dangles". My 1200 Doo trip was a bitch to do oil with the left over oil in that bowl. Good find on that strap.
Great video Mike, as usual. Especially like the 50 kph references. Sucks about the limiter strap. Keep the videos coming
Thanks
great video mike That's why I tell everybody. They got to check their sled.
Nice work
Thanks Alan👍

I will have it on the next video

It was probably removed when Mike had that other shop change the track is my guess.

I will try see what works I’m thinking the more the backend goes down the higher the front will come up
Good job Mike! Hopefully Old Man Winter wakes up soon.
Yes that would be nice 👍
Great vid very informative. Hope you get some snow. 😊

Also so jealous you are almost off break in. Here in Manitoba we have 25 miles so far on our sleds this season and +8 this week 😢
Yes, I will do that. Thanks for the tip.👍

What what I’ve done it for Yamaha would’ve pulled up😂😂🤣

@@SometimeIsNow yeah lucky it wasn’t AC-2 my 850 Is a 23. I think it’s fine.
@@mikeguliz Ahhh ok.. I thought they were both ‘24’s My Bad.. 🤦🏼♂
Hey Mike,
Did you also add snow trackers to this 900r.
Great video, thanks for all the detailed information!
No snow trackers this sled handles a lot better. Front end feels lighter

Yeah, a plain filter would’ve been easier👍
Has brp announced a formal recall on the AC2 ski? I have an ac2 and my dealer is not aware of any bulletin or recall at this time
They announced it yesterday morning
I waited for the announcement before I posted the video
And also apparently there’s a back order on skis for that bit of a waiting list.
What hole is your front suspension arm in ? 1 hole it stays planted the other it wheelies
You mentioned you wouldn't a ski brake at 50 km/hr, you really meant 150 km right 😜, we're having shitty winter here too in Alberta.
😜
Wow. That’s wild that your limiter strap broke. Especially on a brand new sled. Did the dealer warranty it?
I don’t know I haven’t got to BRP yet but I really don’t think so. That’s a where in tear item I believe.

@@HaroldSmith123 yeah let’s see what they say. I hope to 210 kit in too much because I would hate to be changing that strap every 500 K.
If the rear skid is bouncing it needs more rebound nothing to do with sag
I can’t adjust the rebound got smart shocks
