im half shocked that made the cut honestly-
I miss triple deluxe cause it was the first game I ever owned and I hope triple deluxe gets added back in the switch
03:12 Excuse me, Mr. Nintendo Unity, is this title for DS? Because I think Tomadachi Life is for 3DS.😅
I like Mario’s Screaming When you delete a File in Super Mario 64
I hope that you re-100%'d those games.
Nintendo really knows how regretful and bad deleting a save file can be, so they make extensive measures to prevent you from doing so

yeah it's not like any usual death it’s like you being the given the power to erase their souls i wonder what were the creators thinking while putting that direct implication
It’s kinda like a private interview.
i absolutely hate these

The Tomodatchi Life one is really depressing to me. All these Miis, just living out their life and minding their own business, just wiped in seconds.
I imagined that with pokemon, if post game then your legendary went nuts, if during story (after bad guys) you get murdered by the champion, if before/during bad guys then their plan succeeds and everyone dies... and if the game corrupts then a black hole swallows everything and everyone
Essentially like a million voices cry out in terror and were suddenly silenced...
I got a second hand copy and had to delete the save file. Kinda thought about it for the rest of the day.
I did that before because I bought someone elses cartridge 💀
What they say is random too. Like when I had to delete my save data, my own Mii cried "No! No! Noooooooo!!!"
Seeing you delete 100% files hurt me deep in my soul
yeah, like the first kirby one
And then thankfully they didn’t delete the 100% save file for Kirby Super Star
Let's not forget the 120 star Mario 64 one.

@@MeleeFox2005 yes only a piece (because it is not ours) :)
I love it when games make characters try to convince you not to, even trying to guilt trip you into not doing it.
the animal crossing ones are kinda sad when they keep saying how everything in your town will be gone forever and the WarioWare twisted one is actually quite dark saying a piece of you will die hopefully that didn't lead to Nintendo getting lawsuits
Why would it lead to a lawsuit?

Damn imagine a depressed kid about to delete their WarioWare Twisted save data
They might just... delete their life... Remember if you ever feel these feelings there is hope, there are numbers that give confidential advice
Surprised that Mario Party 2 wasn't in this video. In that game, you erase all your data by throwing a data sheet into an office trash compactor. If you don't go through with the deletion and decide you want to keep your current data, the office assistant reveals that the sheet you were about to throw into the compactor wasn't even real, because he's holding the real data sheet. Of course, if you do go through with the deletion, the sheet going into the compactor turns out to be the real one after all. That's some real Schrodinger shit going on right there.
Also, in Super Smash Bros. 4 on the Wii U, holding down a button combination on startup will bring up a data deletion prompt. Before the third and final confirmation, you're told that "save data doesn't grow on trees".
*Save data doesn't grow on trees, you know!*

Wow, Animal Crossing literally makes it seem like you’re committing genocide.
You did NOT just erase a 100% triple deluxe file.
he did
rest in peace 100% file
i think he did
All of the ones from Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life are the most disturbing to me.
All of the Animal Crossing games have a character begging not to delete the town, saying that everything will be gone.
For Tomodachi Life, your own Mii will be shown running slowly, begging not to delete them, and when you do delete the data, they will disappear slowly, saying that they will hope to see you again someday.
So to summarize all this up, deleting data on both games makes you feel really guilty and regret deleting it.

Warioware twisted’s delete message is as unhinged as the game itself
I've never thought a game like Warioware can be that sad
I’m so glad there were extra steps in brawl which stopped 8-year-old me from deleting everything.
FYI, you left Mario Party out of the description.
This is a fun video. I would never go through with these options because of how much the games shamed you for doing it, so it's cool to see what deletion actually looks like. WarioWare & Tomodachi Life are standouts.
Also Rover going from total despair to just :) at 5:16 is comedy gold
Like his mind got resetted along with the save file...

I might be wrong on this, but Nintendo games are the only ones with this level of charm when they ask if you’re really sure about erasing your file.
When you're potentially throwing away days of progress, you've got to make it at least a little dramatic...
@@nicholasharvey1232even months or years of progress.
I feel like, if I ever made a game, save file deletion would have a Nintendo-like charm to it as well.
i feel like ive played another game that did this sort of thing, can't remember what it was called tho
7:25 bro rlly sacrificed a 100% file for a vid💀
Kid Icarus Uprising had 2 of those. One was when you wanted ti delete your save yourself. It would ask you 3 times if you were sure. Second: After finishing the game, Hades threatens to delete your save data for beating him.

Nintendo games sure know how to warn players about the consequences of deleting your game data.

Meanwhile I take ereasi Hola saves pretty lighly for replaying, to the point a friend got kinda angry at me for not keeping my old Pokémon save files
The mario party toad just has an "end it all" button. Amazing
well with the Pokémon you have to hold a set of buttons at the start screen to even delete the save on DS/3DS so you don't accidentally delete it, but still doesn't stop it from getting ruined (like if someone traded or released you Pokémon) on GB/GBA you could overwrite saves, but on Switch you just go to Data storage to delete the saves of games (have restarted Sword 2 times)
ACNH I kinda want to start over but also don't want to search for the Villagers I have again of lose the stuff I have so unless I get another Switch and copy of the game then I'm stuck with it as it is
It was one of the enjoyable parts of selling my games when I was a kid. Deleting the file before getting rid of it. These days, I don't sell my games anymore so I don't get to often see these scenes.
warioware twisted's dialogue after you clear your data seems quite dark as it tells you to press start once you're done grieving, to show that the player might regret clearing the data or sum

Rover got super srs there. WarioWare has made a habit of overly dramatic save deletions, which I would expect from Wario.
You really should have put Gates to Infinity or Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon here.
Tell me what happens there, I’m curious.
@@thebeaniestbeaninallthelands you should try playing the game to see it. Small hint look at the Pokemon profile image it changes twice which I find surprising how emotional they look.

The one where the real part of me dies is when tomodachi life data is gone. A part of you is dead, and so is your miis. Because when you get the game and they finally get a life, they soon can feel like they connect to reality. Maybe even a twin brother/sister. So please... Don't delete the save data. They don't want you to do that, obviously.
Animal Crossing's are the worst, but to be honest I felt worse when I logged in again and they told me I was gone for 11 months. I deleted the saves of ACNH from the Switch's options at that point, because I wasn't playing anymore 😂
