I like how Mario in Sunshine falls from practically space and ends up somehow taking no fall damage in a game that has fall damage.
Same terminal velocity, Mario is used to fall from high places, yet in super mario oddysey he does still feel the insane force he lands, his bones are strong yet he can still feel the sudden force.
@@funnature8679, but the thing is that there is literally fall damage in Sunshine, unlike in Odyssey. It is not usually a lot from what I remember, but it exists

If you get launched to the sun and come falling back down, just land on a small slope of land and you'll be fine.

It's not 15 minutes, it's way more. xD
It was cut in the video but max rocket storage propulsion makes you fall for almost an hour.
The one with gust was kinda 3 minutes but mario in sun shine was def the longest one
People usually forget that Mario and Luigi are strong af they both can survive a giant fall and lift even buildings
Fun fact: if you fall from the very top of the map in Super Mario Sunshine, it takes 1 hour and 13 minutes to reach the ground.

@@christopherwinkler3658 without his hat, Mario's damage is multiplied by 1.5. It's a rare occurrence to lose the hat and not immediately get it back so I get why this info would be shocking!
Honestly I'd lose the hat on purpose because it made the game harder

The first time I've played Pokemon Legends Arceus, I was very surprised that you can "die" for the very first time in a Pokemon game.
A little disappoint that Scarlet/Violet didn't take this risk too. A shame.
Same, I was grinding Pokemon for (presumably) to catch Arceus and I died with like 14 exp candies XL 😭
Using the Glider resets your velocity/damage taking potential.

Tbf, the goal is to get as much height in the fall as possible- they couldn't reach the chasm without usong the glider.
3:07 The highest spot in TOTK is actually the star island wayyyyyyyy above Lookout Landing. It takes a long time to get there but the view is worth it.
Not to mention the fact he paraglided a few times which I don't think would count if we're accounting for "what happens when you jump from the highest point" since the fall resets upon gliding
Okay but be realistic if he just jumped from the highest point and didn't connect to the depths how disappointing would that be for everyone. I wanted to see it.

than it usually should like in most games
Very few things can do more than a quarter melon of health in DK64. The only two things that immediately come to mind that aren't an automatic KO are the clubs swung by the Koshas and the spinning spiky ice trap in the igloo in Crystal Caverns. They do a half melon and full melon of damage respectively.
Looks like we need to practice skydiving, eh.

1:12 in that game Mario dies from a fall of like 2 inches let alone the entire stage. He’s come a long way.
In Banjo-Tooie, if you ground pound the floor and fall off while still having not touched the ground, no matter HOW HIGH you are, you won't take ANY damage

In Xenoblade 3 there is a big jump possible from the upper level Aetia to a lake in the lower level. There are also collectibles in the air. Probably the highest fall in the trilogy.

if i remember correctly, the fall is about an hour? maybe a little more?
In Mario Sunshine, if you place a banana on the mesh ramp in Pinna Park and then monkey swing into it from below just right, you will be teleported so high up that you will fall for over an hour, no joke. Even the Rocket Nozzle Storage+Wind Spirit glitch in Bianco Hills is _nothing_ compared to this one!

If Tears of the Kingdom Link hadn't landed in water, he'd have died.
In Legends Arceus, you can perform a glitch.
While you fall onto the river in Alabaster Icelands (is it called that?), if you time it just right, you can pull up the Arceus phone just as you land. If you then travel to the base camp, you will be out of bounds.
(It only works in THIS specific map, I think.)
If jumping from such heights was all down to Zelda (Ultimate), she would just parachute dress her way down Alice in Wonderland style.
That was not as high as you can get in SMS. By being pushed off of a hanging ceiling by a fruit while holding on to it, Mario will start grabbing on to the ceiling of the entire map. It's impossible to go any higher. And because you don't use the rocket nozzle, you probably would take fall damage.

3:08 Acutally this is not the highest island in TOTK in the sky of the Lookout Landing ther is a sky island that is near of the limit of the map if you jump off the island you can go to the nearest abyys and then you wil get the ultimate fall 🤓👆

Yeah, I already did accidentally jump from highest points in Xenoblade Chronicles games series because it kills me in many times.😮

For pokemon Scarlet and Violet highest point is in the DLC at Blueberry academy. The game does allow you to fly all the way up to the globe in the center. PS there are also 4 rare items there waiting for you when you reach it.

In Mario Odyssey you do shake a little when you fall from a high place
It doesn't matter how far you fall in DK64. You'll always just lose one health unit.
There's no fall damage in Bowser's Fury. Bowser's Fury is part of SM3DW+BF, and in SM3DW, there's no fall damage.

I hope we get a remake of Super Mario Sunshine (or Isle Delfino in a new Mario game) where the entire island can be rendered at once.

Mario Sunshine has an up-warp glitch that allows you to fall for an excessive amount of time.
