Fun fact, to get the worst ending in Luigi's mansion, you need to get less than £5,000,000. For context, the maximum amount of gold available is £142,390,000. To get the worst rank, you have to go out of your way to avoid money in every situation, including the boss fights, who not only drop money around the room, but also drag you around the room at the same time.
In other words, Luigi lost by doing absolutely everything.

I like how Pikmin treats Olimars death as something goofy, when, thinking about it, it's pretty dark.
He had a home he's never going to return to and a family he's never going to see again, no biggie.
Also an unused log in the games files which would presumably be the last one before his death simply has Olimar saying: "I am so very tired..." Fun.

The dharkon bad ending is very dark and depressing for a Nintendo game. Galeem is defeated, the world is engulfed in darkness, and mario just falls down and dies, then the screen fades to black.

Agreed. It's even worse than the Galleem bad ending in a few ways. Here's the first example of why this is true to most players like myself. Dharkon appears at the end of said clip from that ending and glares at the player with his creepy eye. Also the fact that the world is engulfed in total darkness just makes it much worse compared to the Galleem Bad Ending as with the world engulfed in darkness it's plants die a slow and horrible death as they need sunlight to live.
Man I never knew why the earlier Mario Kart games treated you being in 4th place as the worst thing ever even though places 5-8 are a thing. And WOW did they really had to CRUSH LUIGI WITH THE ENTIRE PLACEMENT STAND just for being in 4th?! I'm not going to lie this is the first time I've seen that and man that is so brutal!

In older Mario Kart games, if you place 5th or lower in any Grand Prix race, you have to do the race over again. So it's really impossible to go lower than 4th in point totals in a 1p Grand Prix

Sheesh I’m glad I defeated both Galeem and Dharkon, I remember the fight took long and I considered battles one of them as I thought u could also do them individually, but I had no idea that defeating only one of them leads to a bad ending, now I’m glad I kept on trying and got the true ending
Unfortunately, you need to unlock all three. Maybe it makes the "neutral" ending all the more worth it? I don't remember what ending I got first.

Star Fox 64 and its remake on 3DS have two endings: The False Ending and the True Ending. In the False Ending, Fox is able to defeat Andross, but after the credits, we find out that it was a Robotic. In the True Ending, it’s the real one who got defeated. As the name says, the second ending is canon, since Andross is described as dead and the manga (The main antagonist tries to revive him, but gets defeated.)and at the beginning of Star Fox Adventure.

The "bad ending" of the original N64 release of Starfox 64 I've found to be abit more disturbing than it's 3DS remake's counterpart, as there's abit of a scene in the N64 version that is not present in the remake

There's also a bad ending in Heroes in Another Dimention where if you don't collect 100+ Hearts you don't rescue The 3 Mage Sisters and the same noise plays from Kirby 64, to be honest it is quite chilling to hear the noise!
I played the DLC but I still found the ending to be weak (it wasn't that sad) and unfulfilling which is why I decided to get the A-rank ending instead (tutorials because it's hard lol) in honesty, alot of nintendos bad endings aren't that bad. I'm sure I saw worst endings than this in nintendo games but it might have just been short death scenes or cutscenes idk

Both Galeem and Dharkon being individually killed makes sense for the other one's "bad ending". Since those two are opposite demonic deities, taking care of only one of them, as foreshadowed during the whole part 3 arc. This means that it's only gonna be bad if you only focus one of them. Going for the ultimate battle (lol) is the only good ending which makes sense since both demons want the universe (or at least the planet) for themselves

For the Mario's Time Machine bad ending, you actually obtain it if you take too long during the time periods to return the artifacts, and if you don't return them in order, you get the normal ending, where Bowser is sent to prehistory, but isn't defeated.
Knowledge is knowing that Bowser hasn't been defeated, only sent to prehistory. Wisdom is knowing that Bowser's life span probably won't reach the present Mushroom Kingdom (in the later games, like Odyssey) or anywhere close so you've essentially done even better.

You forgot to mention the bad ending in Metroid Prime 3. Where you let the corruption bar go up too much when in hypermode. You get the Terminal Corruption ending, where Samus basically becomes another Dark Samus and the universe is kinda screwed
They should do this in the next Mario Kart.
If you don't get into the top 3, your character gets blown up by a Bobomb, then hit by a Bullet Bill, blown against a wall and falls down, only to then be crushed by the podium with the 3 winners getting on top of it, then crawl out from beneath the podium and get on your knees before the winners, only to then get lead off by two toads who throw him into the mushroom castle dungeon to rot for all eternity.

No..? You get the bad endings by choosing to only fight one of the final bosses instead of fighting them both at the same time. Their's 3 endings.
If you have the light and dark side unbalanced by not defeating enough light compared to dark (visa versa) it just makes whatever final boss that has more minions on its side stronger when you do the final fight

Pikmin's bad ending is just brutal. Olimar has no more time to collect for parts, his oxygen is running out and launches his rocket anyway. He falls back down, if the explosion didn't kill him the lack of oxygen already has, the Pikmin take his corpse to the red onion, the red onion decapitates Olimar's corpse, presumably disgests the body and spits his head out with a sprout coming out of his head.
The worst part is it's left up to interpretation. Will Olimar come back to life? Is this just a burial for the pikmin? Will anyone come looking for him? Will he ever see his family again? Oh well, at least it's non-canon.

Recently, whenever I play the game, I see this ending at least nine times! And no, I don’t just go to the movie section and watch it nine times.
The metroid endings you describe are more normal endings than bad endings, as the revealing endings are rewards for beating the game in a time basically no casual first time player is likely to get (typically around 3 hours).
Fatal Frame 5 had a really depressing bad ending where the main girl committed suicide. Surprised it’s not on here.

Smash Bros Ultimate bad endings are the equivalent of the war between Discord's light mode and dark mode.
I feel that super circuit was the black sheep of the MK line but it would have to be a 2nd fav for me.. the inbetween of tight game play and the wobbly noodleness of Mk64.. not to mention the start of throwback tracks from past games

Bad endings have always creeped me out. Like, take Kirby’s Dreamland 2, 3, and 64. If you don’t find all of the secrets in the levels in those games, Dark Matter/Zero is not defeated. Meaning the Pop Star isn’t free from the darkness.
Not to mention, The Princess straight up just dies and Kirby and friends are like. Oh no! Anyways bye!

I didn't get the true ending for Crystal Shards for years, not until some playthrough videos were uploaded so I knew where, and how to get all those missing shards

@@alvaroperez2349 Yeah, for example, the Pikmin in Pikmin, are effectively expendable soldiers under your command. They may die and very likely eaten to death, but you can regrow more of the exact same creatures. And in Pikmin 2, one of the Pikmin, the white Pikmin, has an ability that solely is for it to be consumed by an enemy. If eaten, it will deal damage to the enemy that ate it. I believe though, if your Pikmin get eaten, but before their ghosts appear, if you can kill the enemy fast enough that ate it, you may be able to save it from it's death by being eaten. Which just makes me think how in Zelda OoT, if a Like-like eats your shield or tunic, if you kill the Like-like fast enough after it ate your shield and/or tunic, the items it ate can be recovered, instead of losing them and needing to buy new ones. For me, when I play OoT, and see a Like-like, I switch to the green tunic and Mirror Shield (if I have gotten it yet) as because those two pieces of equipment you cannot replace, the game does not allow Like-likes to eat those things.

I remember that there was going to be an alternate ending to luigis mansion they originally was going to add a time limit to how long you had to beat the game if you weren't able to finish it in time mario gets sent over to the spirit world trapped forever and apparently luigi get's possessed by a ghost and becomes depressed I feel like they used some of those ideals for the game over scene for luigis mansion 3

You're very unlikely to get this ending by accident. Purposefully avoiding enough money for it is considered harder than getting the best ending.

So wait did I have some weird different version of the original Mario Kart (or more likely it's regional differences)? Because whenever I finished a circuit in 4th place it would still act like I placed and show me standing next to the pedestals celebrating. I played that game all the time as a kid and I remember that clear as day. It wasn't until 64 that the game (or at least the versions I owned) started treating 4th place like a loss and showing a depressing ending.

I think the video says it happens if you collect less than 20 idk but in the video is showed them collecting only 18 or something(??) So if you are looking to get the ending, just collect 19 or less idk

It's missing one of the mandatory parts that triggers Pikmin Olimar. Therefore, the maximum number you can have and get that ending is 28/30 because the Secret Safe is optional.
I'm pretty sure the game shows the list of parts at some point. If I remember correctly, 25 of the ship parts are required to get a good ending, while the other 5 are optional. But you still need to get all 30 parts for the true ending.
