To counter Copy Kirby being useless, you are right for the most part, but you can get Copy as a permament ability in Milky Way Wishes and you can use it to get the abilities of enemies who give you abilities in the other games, so you can essentially play the sub game like any other Kirby game, albiet with an extra step. To counter Spark Kirby in Super Star & RTDL, you can guard while you constantly mash the d-pad so you won’t look like a fool when using the ability.
in RTDL you can even shake your wii remote to charge, so its possible to charge while you are moving around the level or avoiding enemies/bosses attacks
Copy was probably added to give Player 2 T.A.C., which pretty much gave them free reign to choose their ability without having to sacrifice themselves or rely on Player 1 to give them a different ability.
Copy can also be used to get the Crash ability from Scarfies, which cannot be eaten. It can also be used to copy an ability from a boss while you are still fighting it.
In _Earthbound,_ at least Picky tried to fight back against a Starman, even in one hit, while Porky, in the other hand, is a complete joke as a party member because he barely lay a finger on that alien.
In one Earthbound Playtrough I had, Picky literally defeated starman jr. In one hit. (It's not that powerful though because buzz buzz & Ness already managed him to have 1 hp left)
In Milky Way Wishes, you have to find The Super Copy Things or whatever to get the copy abilities, but with the Copy, Copy Ability you can break the rule and get copy abilities no matter what without finding those things.
It also produces the helper Tac who is basically a second Kirby with his transformation ability. In some ways he's better. Like how his guard makes him completely untouchable. Even the nerfed version of Tac in Ultra's helper to hero is still busted.
Slippy isn't useless, he literally analyses the hit points of a boss, making the bar visible, just like Goombario's tattle in Paper Mario. Anyway, that "Ow" was just so funny at 2:29
Also, he (Slippy is a boy.) is also an important member of the team. You know, the shine used by Fox and Falco in the Smash Bros series? It’s Slippy who created it. Same with their blasters.

Yeah, they managed to demonstrate its uselessness using some of the only two games where Spark is worth a damn: Super Star, where it is better as boss killing than HAMMER, and Return to Dream Land, where it is an safe, long-range ability with high ease of use.
Spark is actually a useful ability. It generates a shield which can nullify a decent amount of attacks and can be used as a projectile that does great damage. Super useful for the ex bosses, especially Magolor.
What I dpn't understand is they claim you have to run around to boost Spark's power but you can just press R button (guard) and jerk the joystick to charge up. Takes 2 secs and you're at full power

Someone very much worth mentioning is Cresselia in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers. Everybody that’s gotten all the way to the finale of that game knows the pain.
This makes me think about Rescue Team Red/Blue. Playing as Chikorita or having that mon as your partner was miserable in the main story. Especially the legendary birds and Groudon/Rayquaza + their entire dungeon. Both other grass starters are superior. Bulbasaur got Leech Seed and Powder moves, and Treecko got Leer/Screech which could be combined with a physical attack at least. It’s at least better in the remake because they gave it Ancient Power.
Cresslia is that bad? I remember having 0 troubles with it, maybe bc the most non 100 floor dungeon hardest dungeon needed to be these ones in the ocean
Actually the copy ability for Kirby does a very cool trick, if you use it on a scarfy, you get the crash ability, an enemy that You actually can't absorb
Plasma/Spark is really good actually. When it's fully charged you're shielded by static electricity which puts a constant hitbox around your character. You're not meant to throw away your charge instantly like that, but rather mow down enemies by touching them.
It's so good to see so many people come out in defense of Spark, Copy, Krunch and Slippy! 1) Not only is Spark useful because of the plasma shield it generates, but it can be recharged, other than shaking the Wiimote in the Wii game,but also pressing left and right quickly: no need to walk for a long time. Plus, Wisp, the helper, is cute 2) Copy has been abundantly discussed, and T.A.C. is definitely a fan favourite 3) I never used Krunch, only Diddy, Tiptup and the little mouse girl, but I see that many people did: challenge isn't uselessness 4) Slippy is a mechanic, not a fighter,he's there for the specifics! 5) Cosmog and Cosmoem are that way because they are not meant to be used at all: they're part of the story, until they evolve into Lunala/Solgaleo, unlike Magikarp, which is designed to offer a rewarding challenge to the player 6) Pichu is there for variety and offers a harder to hit character, who's also very light: it can be annoying. On Glimmer I agree.9 Watt screams CHALLENGE! (without him we wouldn't have the adorable Nintendo microgames!) :D

Came here because I saw Spark Kirby in the thumbnail. Just wanted to say that if you know to mash the control stick/pad while using it, you can charge it up to max within seconds, making it one of the most busted copies out there. This helped me a lot in my Super Star Arena and Soul Melter EX runs lol
Cosmog is pretty sad because it also has a pretty cool attack animation where it swings one of its puffs, even mock smear frame stretches the shape and everything. I think it still does that in refresh at least...
As a Pichu Main in Melee, I have to say he is actually not useless at all, of course he is compared to Pikachu, but what a wonderful character in my eyes! ... He introduced me at the Melee competitive scene, and for the best! Pichu has changed my life in a significant way, thank you Pichu...🥺
Magikarp is not useless anymore since they have given it Hydro Pump as a move it can learn by TM since Gen 8...Nebby doesnt do anything and it evolves to Solgaleo/Lunala at level 50+
In games like Diddy Kong Racing and F-Zero, sub-optimal characters are used as an extra layer of challenge. In Earthbound, Picky _will_ occasionally attack. The footage is more of an indictment of RNG, rather than how useless Picky is.

Mew can literally learn nearly every move. It could've did something similar to Metronome in a way or like use different moves one after another (like sleep, freeze, fire one after another). Mew is supposed to be the rarest mon in existance not to mention the rarest to encounter in Ultimate so it'd make sense it had the most moveset

Plasma Kirby is strong, actually. I can fire fully charged attacks constantly. (About 1 per second.) The short ranged spark that you get half way through charging can be strong, too.
To be fair, pichu isnt the only useless charecter in meele, bowser and kirby also does. Bowser's recovery is too predictable and kirby is the worst because his air speed is too slow and recovery is far beyond predictable, U-throw makes him lose all the jumps, Foward and back throw can be escapable easily and a lot of problems. both of them are worse than pichu (dont ask why i have a kirby pfp when i say this im lazy to change pfp)
Kirby Super Star: Copy isn't entirely useless, as it is the only way that Kirby can get the Crash ability from a Scarfy. Star Fox series: Slippy may not be the best pilot, but he does analyze the shields of bosses. WarioWare GiT: 9-Volt isn't alone. Kat & Ana are also very bad in a lot of microgames, thanks to their constant jumping. Regigigas: Poor in single battles, but a beast in double/triple battles when paired with something that can remove Slow Start. In fact, it's easier to remove Slow Start than it is to remove Truant. Plasma/Spark: That ability is far from useless. It's actually a very powerful long-ranged attack when fully charged, and you get a shield that damages enemies. Also, in Return to Dream Land, you can shake the Wii Remote to charge up Spark, instead of constantly dashing left and right. Krunch: Well, there is a reason why he's meant for expert players only. The same may also apply to Banjo, though his handling is slightly better. F-Zero GX: Amusingly, Mr. EAD's machine, the Great Star, can be considered worse than Daigoroh's Silver Rat, as it has a weaker body statistic. Pichu: What does work in Pichu's favor is its small size, so it's not as big of a target as someone like Bowser. But it really wasn't until Ultimate that it got the necessary buffs to become more usable.
Also, btw, while I dunno if this counts as a "Nintendo" franchise (as I do not remember who developed the series) in both Custom Robo games we got in America, they have a lategame unlockable Robo set that is utterly terrible to play as. For the Gamecube entry, it's the "trashcan" set, while in the NDS entry, it's the "Chick" set (Chick as in a young chicken), both perform terribly and both are unlocked very late game. If not postgame. I forget when exactly you can unlock both of these terrible Robos, but I think I remember I had to beat the main story to even have a chance to unlock them. And if I remember this correctly as well, I think the games make you work so hard to get these terrible Robos. My memories of Custom Robo games is barely existent.
Krunch is actually pretty fast, it's just that his handling and acceleration are complete dogshit and the other two unlockable characters not only have better speed than him, but also better turning/accel, completely outclassing Krunch. Krunch's handling is so bad that even speedrunners (when they aren't using TT) go for Banjo instead despite him being slightly slower just because he controls better.
In Copy's defense, it's both a funny attacking move if it doesn't copy anything and it's a good thing in Milky Way Wishes, and Tac is actually a beast in Helper to Hero
Quick honorable-mention to Galeem and Dharkon Spirit traits Bane of Darkness and Light being completely useless outside of the adventure mode. Context: Does additional damage given or taken enemies that are affiliated with Darkness or Light respectively.
In Miitopia, the escort characters vary in terms of usefulness, most providing heals and pitching in varying bits of extra damage, or even using class skills if the character has a class. The Prince from a Nearby Land, however, is 100% useless, hurling mere insults and bragging, instead of doing anything, and even taking credit for the win after the battle. Even Ex Dark Lord outplays him, and they only have banana heals and 1 damage rock throws.
I always thought Kirby doing “Sleep” in the NES game was the most useless. It doesn’t do anything. “Ball” isn’t very useful either because it’s easy to take damage.
Spark and Plasma are two different abilities. Spark is from Kirby’s Adventure (Coby Ability’s origin game) and Plasma from Super Star. Spark originally only had the move Spark Attack, a stationary move that surrounds Kirby in electricity, then was expanded in following titles. Plasma only had Power Charge and projectile moves. With Spark being expanded and given ranged moves, it became move viabile. Before Kirby Star Allies, Plasma was a very situational ability that was desirable for bosses or skipping a very small amount of puzzles. It wasn’t completely useless, but it wasn’t the best for clearing enemies quickly for casual players. Also I feel like Copy was intended to give Player 2 a chance to share an ability with Player 1 (since creating a helper would forfeit Kirby’s Ability) as the Copy move doesn’t defeat most standard enemies. It’s use in Milky Way Wishes is mostly where it’s desired.
Well ironically spark is the most broken ability against the final boss in both phases for kirby in dreamland for the wii (and the remake on the switch)
The "copy" ability allowed the CPU/2P to be like Kirby, stealing abilities and discarding them. Also, the copy beam is powerful against any enemy without an ability to copy.
My man hating on spark, in rtdl and its remake, you can shake the controller for a SUPER quick charge, and do up and down attacks in the air without moving. Really nice for the new True Arena
Why is Plasma Kirby on this list? Plasma Kirby is arguably the most overpowered ability in Kirby Superstar. It has the second highest DPS on bosses (second only to hammer flip which has terrible range and a ton of start up lag). It has infinite range. The largest hit boxes in the game, and it also gives you a static shield that protects you from projectiles and damages enemies.
I was seriously stunned seeing it on the list lol. How is Plasma the most useless ability, in a game where Sleep Kirby is a thing? Plasma is my go-to boss destroyer.
Copy, while seemingly useless, actually lets you copy abilities from enemies you normally could never inhale. For example, scanning a Scarfy will not anger it, and you get crash from it. The helper, TAC can also now copy abilities as well, and discard it with A (would be Y today)
1: In Milky Way Wishes, Kirby DOESN'T have the ability to copy abilities on his own and Copy can be gained at the very start of the sub game. 2: Copy allows you to copy mini bosses right away, and even the Scarfy enemy. Scarfy gives Crash and cannot be swallowed. 3: Play with a friend, turn copy into a helper, and you've got the best helper in the entire game. Tac can become invulnerable with guarding, and has a very good attack if you save if for a mini boss or a boss. If you don't, Player 2 gets to choose their ability for themselves. Honestly, it's baffling how many people miss these very obvious uses, especially the first one.
Regigigas has finally been given the move Protect lately to stall out Slow Start, if I recall correctly. Even then, can't be worse than Unown. You can guard with Spark Kirby so you can stand in place while you charge, and in Kirby's Return to Dream Land you can shake the Wii remote instead. Once you learn to get the charges quickly it's very high ranged DPS. Spark is a good ability. You're right about Krunch being useless, but by the time you're racing T.T. you should be releasing A right before the zipper to get a better boost, it will be green fire.
Zacian exists. It’s banned to Anything Goes. It has 10 less base attack and a busted ass ability. They just made Regigigas shit for the sake of making it shit (and also Lore but who cares about that)
I like how the channel owner literally ignores that full-charge Spark has great piercing DPS for something with massive horizontal range. The damage aura is nice too even if its only use in Arena is to one-tap weak projectiles.
Spark is the opposite of useless if the game has motion controls. Just a little shaking of the controller leaves enemies in your wake. I used spark to beat the true arena in return to dreamland

Hey, in Slippy's defense, if he's not there then you don't get to see the boss's health meter. Making him arguably more useful than Peppy, Falco, and even Krystal.
Ok, about attacking, he’s the worst of the team, but about defensive, I guess he’s the best? But each character have their speciality. For example, Peppy gives advices to the others while Falco looks for shortcuts and warns Fox if he finds one. Also, if you thought Slippy was the only one getting tailed, you’re as wrong as if you called Squirtle a Plant Type.
Another useless things are the small ally units in every warriors game, they literally are unable to kill any single enemy unit, no matter how weak it is

There is an ability called Light in Kirby's Adventure which is FAR more useless than Spark/Plasma and Copy (There's also Metal and Paint which are useless, but at least they can still attack enemies while light just lights up a room...and that's it, it can't even hurt regular enemies)
The "Copy" Copy Ability is useless in most of the gameplay of Superstar for a reason: It's designed to solely be discarded into becoming a Helper: Tac. However, the only use it has to be useful, is in Milkyway Wishes, since Kirby cannot directly copy his enemies there, and only if you get it fairly early-on through a secret path (I dunno if that's exclusive to the "Ultra" remake of the game though, I think I've only seen gameplay of that secret place on Superstar Ultra, and only because chat in a livestream, directed the streamer to that location early-on in Milkyway Wishes.) since, in Milkyway Wishes, the way you get Copy Abilities is through obtainable collectibles you can use at any given time to gain that collectible, that do not get consumed after use. If you already have most, if not all, of the Copy Abilities unlocked already, the "Copy" Copy Ability is useless to Kirby there too.
As well as what other people have said about Copy, it also creates a Helper that can steal and discard abilities freely while under a second player's control, making it quite fun and flexible in co-op. And Plasma/Spark is far from useless. By blocking, you can charge it quickly in place, getting a shield that destroys most projectiles and knocks enemies back just by being close. You can also hold charge for quite a while and quickly re-boost it when it starts to wear off.
spark is pretty good actually, shaking the wii remote charges the attack up so you can constantly have a charge shield that protects you from most attacks up and running.
Slippy Toad created the android NUS (R.O.B. 64 outside Japan), the translator that Fox used in Star Fox Adventures... The Copy ability is the only way to get the Crash one from Scarfy. The Spark ability can also be used as a shield when charged. Krunch is the 3rd faster racer of Diddy Kong Racing.

Actually, Slippy is a great ally! He’s the only one who can scan the boss’ shield (Except Star Wolf and Andross) in the Star Fox series. His main default is that he often gets in trouble. In case of Andrew, I can’t blame Slippy, since their AIs are programmed to attack each other until one of them retreats. (It’s also the case for Leon with Falco, Wolf with Fox and Pigma with Peppy.) Sometimes, Slippy can even defeat Andrew by himself, without Fox’s help!
You calling Spark/Plasma useless makes me question if you've ever actually used the ability. It's max charge shot deals tremendous amounts of damage, and multiple people have pointed out how to get around the "downside" of having to mash the d-pad.
The “Copy” Copy ability would actually be normally useless but when starting out Milky Way Wishes, if you go to the Secret planet first, you get Copy first and since Milky Way Wishes Nullifies your Copying normally, the “Copy” ability Ignores the game’s Special Rule, without other Ability Pedestals, The “Copy” Ability is VERY useful

Cosmog and Cosmoem can still use Struggle, like every other Pokémon, once they run out of PP. If anything, Cosmog's ability makes it even more useless. Unown at least has Levitate, which provides immunity to Ground-type attacks. Cosmog has Unaware, which is great on some Pokémon (Clefable and Quagsire), but useless on Cosmog. The only reason Cosmog has Unaware is because the Japanese name of the ability is Airhead, and Cosmog is meant to be a ditzy Pokémon.
1) His name is Slippy. 2) Unfortunately, he can’t show Andross’ health bar (Fox told him and his team to get out of Venom to keep him, Falco and Peppy safe) and the one of Star Wolf (They’re four with their own health bar. Do I need to say more?). As for the boss on Titania, Slippy doesn’t analyze it until the teammate held captive there (Slippy himself in 64 and Peppy in Zero) is rescued.
Ngl, there's several FE characters that could go here. One's with horrible level ups, late game units that have horrible stats, or characters that just have terrible stats and abilities for the classes they have access to. A good example is Peri from FE: Fates. Yes, her Bloodlust increases her stats temporarily when she kills an enemy, but her stats are terrible enough to where... well, you can't really *kill* any enemies with her, and you usually get her later in the game, when most enemies will kill her in a few hits too.

This makes me think about Rescue Team Red/Blue. Playing as Chikorita or having that mon as your partner was miserable in the main story. Especially the legendary birds and Groudon/Rayquaza + their entire dungeon.
Both other grass starters are superior. Bulbasaur got Leech Seed and Powder moves, and Treecko got Leer/Screech which could be combined with a physical attack at least.
It’s at least better in the remake because they gave it Ancient Power.

Plasma/Spark is really good actually. When it's fully charged you're shielded by static electricity which puts a constant hitbox around your character. You're not meant to throw away your charge instantly like that, but rather mow down enemies by touching them.

It's so good to see so many people come out in defense of Spark, Copy, Krunch and Slippy!
1) Not only is Spark useful because of the plasma shield it generates, but it can be recharged, other than shaking the Wiimote in the Wii game,but also pressing left and right quickly: no need to walk for a long time. Plus, Wisp, the helper, is cute
2) Copy has been abundantly discussed, and T.A.C. is definitely a fan favourite
3) I never used Krunch, only Diddy, Tiptup and the little mouse girl, but I see that many people did: challenge isn't uselessness
4) Slippy is a mechanic, not a fighter,he's there for the specifics!
5) Cosmog and Cosmoem are that way because they are not meant to be used at all: they're part of the story, until they evolve into Lunala/Solgaleo, unlike Magikarp, which is designed to offer a rewarding challenge to the player
6) Pichu is there for variety and offers a harder to hit character, who's also very light: it can be annoying.
On Glimmer I agree.9 Watt screams CHALLENGE! (without him we wouldn't have the adorable Nintendo microgames!)

Came here because I saw Spark Kirby in the thumbnail. Just wanted to say that if you know to mash the control stick/pad while using it, you can charge it up to max within seconds, making it one of the most busted copies out there. This helped me a lot in my Super Star Arena and Soul Melter EX runs lol

In games like Diddy Kong Racing and F-Zero, sub-optimal characters are used as an extra layer of challenge.
In Earthbound, Picky _will_ occasionally attack. The footage is more of an indictment of RNG, rather than how useless Picky is.

Mew can literally learn nearly every move. It could've did something similar to Metronome in a way or like use different moves one after another (like sleep, freeze, fire one after another). Plasma Kirby is strong, actually. I can fire fully charged attacks constantly. (About 1 per second.) The short ranged spark that you get half way through charging can be strong, too.
To be fair, pichu isnt the only useless charecter in meele, bowser and kirby also does.
Bowser's recovery is too predictable
and kirby is the worst because his air speed is too slow and recovery is far beyond predictable, U-throw makes him lose all the jumps, Foward and back throw can be escapable easily and a lot of problems. both of them are worse than pichu

Kirby Super Star: Copy isn't entirely useless, as it is the only way that Kirby can get the Crash ability from a Scarfy.
Star Fox series: Slippy may not be the best pilot, but he does analyze the shields of bosses.
WarioWare GiT: 9-Volt isn't alone. Kat & Ana are also very bad in a lot of microgames, thanks to their constant jumping.
Regigigas: Poor in single battles, but a beast in double/triple battles when paired with something that can remove Slow Start. In fact, it's easier to remove Slow Start than it is to remove Truant.
Plasma/Spark: That ability is far from useless. It's actually a very powerful long-ranged attack when fully charged, and you get a shield that damages enemies. Also, in Return to Dream Land, you can shake the Wii Remote to charge up Spark, instead of constantly dashing left and right.
Krunch: Well, there is a reason why he's meant for expert players only. The same may also apply to Banjo, though his handling is slightly better.
F-Zero GX: Amusingly, Mr. EAD's machine, the Great Star, can be considered worse than Daigoroh's Silver Rat, as it has a weaker body statistic.
Pichu: What does work in Pichu's favor is its small size, so it's not as big of a target as someone like Bowser. But it really wasn't until Ultimate that it got the necessary buffs to become more usable.
Also, btw, while I dunno if this counts as a "Nintendo" franchise (as I do not remember who developed the series) in both Custom Robo games we got in America, they have a lategame unlockable Robo set that is utterly terrible to play as. For the Gamecube entry, it's the "trashcan" set, while in the NDS entry, it's the "Chick" set (Chick as in a young chicken), both perform terribly and both are unlocked very late game. If not postgame. I forget when exactly you can unlock both of these terrible Robos, but I think I remember I had to beat the main story to even have a chance to unlock them. And if I remember this correctly as well, I think the games make you work so hard to get these terrible Robos. My memories of Custom Robo games is barely existent.
Krunch is actually pretty fast, it's just that his handling and acceleration are complete dogshit and the other two unlockable characters not only have better speed than him, but also better turning/accel, completely outclassing Krunch.
Krunch's handling is so bad that even speedrunners (when they aren't using TT) go for Banjo instead despite him being slightly slower just because he controls better.
In Copy's defense, it's both a funny attacking move if it doesn't copy anything and it's a good thing in Milky Way Wishes, and Tac is actually a beast in Helper to Hero
Quick honorable-mention to Galeem and Dharkon Spirit traits Bane of Darkness and Light being completely useless outside of the adventure mode.
Context: Does additional damage given or taken enemies that are affiliated with Darkness or Light respectively.
In Miitopia, the escort characters vary in terms of usefulness, most providing heals and pitching in varying bits of extra damage, or even using class skills if the character has a class. The Prince from a Nearby Land, however, is 100% useless, hurling mere insults and bragging, instead of doing anything, and even taking credit for the win after the battle. Even Ex Dark Lord outplays him, and they only have banana heals and 1 damage rock throws.

Spark and Plasma are two different abilities. Spark is from Kirby’s Adventure (Coby Ability’s origin game) and Plasma from Super Star. Spark originally only had the move Spark Attack, a stationary move that surrounds Kirby in electricity, then was expanded in following titles. Plasma only had Power Charge and projectile moves. With Spark being expanded and given ranged moves, it became move viabile. Before Kirby Star Allies, Plasma was a very situational ability that was desirable for bosses or skipping a very small amount of puzzles. It wasn’t completely useless, but it wasn’t the best for clearing enemies quickly for casual players.
Also I feel like Copy was intended to give Player 2 a chance to share an ability with Player 1 (since creating a helper would forfeit Kirby’s Ability) as the Copy move doesn’t defeat most standard enemies. It’s use in Milky Way Wishes is mostly where it’s desired.
What's interesting is that, in the Pokémon games, Goldeen *can't* learn Splash in any way...

The "copy" ability allowed the CPU/2P to be like Kirby, stealing abilities and discarding them. Also, the copy beam is powerful against any enemy without an ability to copy.
My man hating on spark, in rtdl and its remake, you can shake the controller for a SUPER quick charge, and do up and down attacks in the air without moving.

Why is Plasma Kirby on this list? Plasma Kirby is arguably the most overpowered ability in Kirby Superstar. It has the second highest DPS on bosses (second only to hammer flip which has terrible range and a ton of start up lag). It has infinite range. The largest hit boxes in the game, and it also gives you a static shield that protects you from projectiles and damages enemies.

Copy, while seemingly useless, actually lets you copy abilities from enemies you normally could never inhale. For example, scanning a Scarfy will not anger it, and you get crash from it.
The helper, TAC can also now copy abilities as well, and discard it with A (would be Y today)

1: In Milky Way Wishes, Kirby DOESN'T have the ability to copy abilities on his own and Copy can be gained at the very start of the sub game.
2: Copy allows you to copy mini bosses right away, and even the Scarfy enemy. Scarfy gives Crash and cannot be swallowed.
3: Play with a friend, turn copy into a helper, and you've got the best helper in the entire game. Tac can become invulnerable with guarding, and has a very good attack if you save if for a mini boss or a boss. If you don't, Player 2 gets to choose their ability for themselves.
Honestly, it's baffling how many people miss these very obvious uses, especially the first one.
Regigigas has finally been given the move Protect lately to stall out Slow Start, if I recall correctly. Even then, can't be worse than Unown.
You can guard with Spark Kirby so you can stand in place while you charge, and in Kirby's Return to Dream Land you can shake the Wii remote instead. Once you learn to get the charges quickly it's very high ranged DPS. Spark is a good ability.
You're right about Krunch being useless, but by the time you're racing T.T. you should be releasing A right before the zipper to get a better boost, it will be green fire.

I was about to have a full on rant when I saw Spark (plasma) in the thumbnail. That ability has helped me through so many Arena Battles
I like how the channel owner literally ignores that full-charge Spark has great piercing DPS for something with massive horizontal range. The damage aura is nice too even if its only use in Arena is to one-tap weak projectiles.

Hey, in Slippy's defense, if he's not there then you don't get to see the boss's health meter. Making him arguably more useful than Peppy, Falco, and even Krystal.
Ok, about attacking, he’s the worst of the team, but about defensive, I guess he’s the best? But each character have their speciality. For example, Peppy gives advices to the others while Falco looks for shortcuts and warns Fox if he finds one.
Also, if you thought Slippy was the only one getting tailed, you’re as wrong as if you called Squirtle a Plant Type.
Another useless things are the small ally units in every warriors game, they literally are unable to kill any single enemy unit, no matter how weak it is

Kirby's "Copy" Ability isn't totally useless. It's a pretty good source of damage against bosses, and in Milky Way Wishes, it's the easiest way to get abilities you haven't unlocked.

The "Copy" Copy Ability is useless in most of the gameplay of Superstar for a reason: It's designed to solely be discarded into becoming a Helper: Tac. However, the only use it has to be useful, is in Milkyway Wishes, since Kirby cannot directly copy his enemies there, and only if you get it fairly early-on through a secret path (I dunno if that's exclusive to the "Ultra" remake of the game though, I think I've only seen gameplay of that secret place on Superstar Ultra, and only because chat in a livestream, directed the streamer to that location early-on in Milkyway Wishes.) since, in Milkyway Wishes, the way you get Copy Abilities is through obtainable collectibles you can use at any given time to gain that collectible, that do not get consumed after use. If you already have most, if not all, of the Copy Abilities unlocked already, the "Copy" Copy Ability is useless to Kirby there too.
As well as what other people have said about Copy, it also creates a Helper that can steal and discard abilities freely while under a second player's control, making it quite fun and flexible in co-op. And Plasma/Spark is far from useless. By blocking, you can charge it quickly in place, getting a shield that destroys most projectiles and knocks enemies back just by being close. You can also hold charge for quite a while and quickly re-boost it when it starts to wear off.
Krunch is not bad in Hovercraft and Plane, the issue is....Drunkstick exist.

Actually, Slippy is a great ally! He’s the only one who can scan the boss’ shield (Except Star Wolf and Andross) in the Star Fox series. His main default is that he often gets in trouble. In case of Andrew, I can’t blame Slippy, since their AIs are programmed to attack each other until one of them retreats. (It’s also the case for Leon with Falco, Wolf with Fox and Pigma with Peppy.) Sometimes, Slippy can even defeat Andrew by himself, without Fox’s help!
You calling Spark/Plasma useless makes me question if you've ever actually used the ability. It's max charge shot deals tremendous amounts of damage, and multiple people have pointed out how to get around the "downside" of having to mash the d-pad.
The “Copy” Copy ability would actually be normally useless but when starting out Milky Way Wishes, if you go to the Secret planet first, you get Copy first and since Milky Way Wishes Nullifies your Copying normally, the “Copy” ability Ignores the game’s Special Rule, without other Ability Pedestals, The “Copy” Ability is VERY useful

Cosmog and Cosmoem can still use Struggle, like every other Pokémon, once they run out of PP. If anything, Cosmog's ability makes it even more useless. Unown at least has Levitate, which provides immunity to Ground-type attacks. Cosmog has Unaware, which is great on some Pokémon (Clefable and Quagsire), but useless on Cosmog. The only reason Cosmog has Unaware is because the Japanese name of the ability is Airhead, and Cosmog is meant to be a ditzy Pokémon.
Slipped does have one great feature; he can bring up the boss's health bar.
1) His name is Slippy.
2) Unfortunately, he can’t show Andross’ health bar (Fox told him and his team to get out of Venom to keep him, Falco and Peppy safe) and the one of Star Wolf (They’re four with their own health bar. Do I need to say more?). As for the boss on Titania, Slippy doesn’t analyze it until the teammate held captive there (Slippy himself in 64 and Peppy in Zero) is rescued.

Ngl, there's several FE characters that could go here. One's with horrible level ups, late game units that have horrible stats, or characters that just have terrible stats and abilities for the classes they have access to.
A good example is Peri from FE: Fates. Yes, her Bloodlust increases her stats temporarily when she kills an enemy, but her stats are terrible enough to where... well, you can't really *kill* any enemies with her, and you usually get her later in the game, when most enemies will kill her in a few hits too.
