- For today's Show and Tell, Will shares one of the first projects he backed on Kickstarter: a plastic board to lock in the hex tile pieces for the Settles of Catan tabletop game. The board is perfectly sized for the game's hex tiles and road pieces, and makes the game portable.

I just have to say.. Thank you! All of Tested's videos are audio leveled so well and as a headphone user who watches videos at night it's so nice.
I have never ever ever had a game ruined before. Tiles stay where they are just fine.
I've never had a problem either, ticket to ride on the other hand lol
Got one of those myself from the kickstarter. Have to say this was quite a surprise to see!
Something for Anne Wheaton's "Wheaton Bump"
Ticket To Ride option?
That's kinda spooky timing. I literally (dictionary definition) just saw this in my Local Gaming Store for the first time on Saturday afternoon. I had seen the KS, but I don't ply enough Catan to warrant getting it, and I'd forgotten all about it until Saturday! Then you guys post this. Spooky! Woooooooo!
My friend got one of these and it's great. The blue does confuse in the video, but in person it's not bad. They tried to make the center a different color, but it was too hard to accomplish for the means of the kickstarter.
Pretty expensive for molded plastic, but the low volume and build quality make that understandable. Looks useful.
I hinted that I wanted one for Christmas, and my brother bought my wife and I the wooden one (3-4 player config on one side, 5-6 on the back). Its amazing. I would have been fine with this blue one, but either one makes the game so much easier to set up and play. Highly recommended as well.
Love these games :)
That's pretty cool!
You guys should discuss some boardgames btw, like which ones to start out with, or some all around good ones.
(I'm totally hooked on Ticket to Ride right now as my first boardgame since i was a kid)
Caverna is all the rage now a days if mining, farming, and adventuring is up your boardgame ally.
You could design pads that hold single board pieces and lock into each other. These could be 3d printed as they wouldn't be that big. You could also make custom shaped islands that way :)
The blue roads seem to get lost on that background...
It didn't pop well on video, but it looks fine in person.
Did you trial the Seafarer's expansion version ?
i hope this works better than the boarders that come with the game now i cant ever seem to get them to come together right
I Love That Game
If there was a kickstarter for a device that sets up Agricola for you, I would definitely back that.
I use things like this to manage Agricola meeples and resources: www.containerstore.com/shop/giftPackaging/creativeContainers/dividedBoxes?productId=10029795 We just leave them in there all the time, and pull them from there as we play.
How about a link to where to buy that t-shirt? Please?
hmm smart idea, this could be expanded to a lot of other board games
3d printing possibility!
so much win
I like it and $30,- is a nice reasonable price, but I live in the netherlands and shipping is $63.95... so This won;t be a buy.
I want a wooden Risk board.
here you go gsa.thegamernation.org/2012/12/04/2221/
Tomasz Kamiński ZOMG! That looks amazing, but it would get destroyed in my house from stickers, as we only play Risk: Legacy. :P
at 1:14 a miracle happens, I cant sleep
"If you play a lot of Catan"... yeah, I wish.
Cool, but I'd probably rather invest in a sturdier table if that's your big concern.
My friends never trade me anything in this game.
why didnt they just do it all on a magnetic board...
