Shingle coating is an excellent product, and despite what roofers say, it greatly extends the life of your roof. I wouldn't recommend using a roller to apply it though. A pressure paint gun is better because it essentially guarantees to fill in between the shingles. The roller has the tendency of pulling up the applied asphalt armour as you roll back and forth with it, but overall you did a great job.

Using a sebs or thermal plastic on the ponding areas, unless you live in CA then you can’t. 🤙🏼
Check youtube videos - there are people who did elastomeric or silicon based coating on their shingle roof and it held up fine over many years. Results speak for itself. Perhaps companies who want to sell you new shingle roof for $30K or more don't want people to coat their roof and extend it's life.
What are the products you are using, which primer and coat? Links will help. Thanks
Primer.. has to be one of conklin contractors.. they dont sale to the public...same with the unaflex..
@@ForeignLifestylestory Thank you for your reply.
@@ForeignLifestylestory why????
@@Amarillobymorning777 Not sure, but there are lots of good elastomeric and silicon based roof coating available on any hardware store. They stand up to weather very well, and should work fine on shingle roof (although companies don't guarentee if you use it on shingle roof for obvious reasons).
