    I am 67 years old and live with degenerative disc disease and arthritis. My doctor suggested yoga as a way to strengthen and elongate my muscles, improve flexibility and balance and help with pain. The chair exercises challenge me enough to keep doing them. Instead of being overwhelmed trying to attempt something I can't do, this video has inspired me to keep going. I like the chair yoga and stretches I can do standing. I can't do the floor exercises due to vertigo. I love this video! My Mama always said getting old is not for sissies. Mama was right! Thank you!

    OMG. Yoga has been an off again on again part of my life for half a century, but the last few years it has been OFF. I can't believe this super gentle routine actually felt like work. Thank you for providing a safe and doable place to start again for this 75 year old.. See you here tomorow.

    I was a yoga master for fifteen years and then got quite disabled due to an illness Thank you for giving me ;my confidence back I would love to see more chair yoga as I get older and disease progresses. I am 68 and followed this one easily Thank you

    Brett Larkin you might have saved my future. My back has been so tight after a car accident 11 years ago my drs said I'll be in a wheelchair in my 50s. After doing your chair yoga my back has loosened. I cant remember the last time my back was loose. I feel like ive lost weight too doing it although the dr scale always says I've gained a pound. Thank you. You inspire me and I've been doing your chair yoga for 7 weeks now everyday and haven't missed a day. I do it even when im in pain and twice have cried doing it due to the amount of back pain im in but im dedicated and refuse to miss a day. Thank you again for giving me a new meaning on life.

    Yes, more chair yoga like this please! Yoga classes are too intense for my aging body, but this I session was very do-able. I really enjoyed the stretching without feeling as though I was trying to do something my body was incapable of. Thank you for this video!

    I am a youngish person recovering from a muscle disease. Love that your chair yoga is geared to everyone. I have started searching senior fitness to get what I need. But I am not one (but boy am I compassionate to seniors now!)

    Brett, thank you so much. Your guidance is the perfect tempo, the movements exactly what I was looking for. I'm new to Yoga, and have, at the moment, "limited mobility". I want so much to assist in my body's healing. Yoga is where my intuition has led me. I really enjoyed this practice and would very much like to see more.     I am brand new to this and because of the current state of COVID 19 I am teleworking every day and needed to be able to do some gentle stretches and breathing. I am over 60 and this was exactly what I needed. Will be tuning in to this daily. Thanks for helping

    I am suffering from a pharmaceutically induced Fibro. The pain is unbelievable & over the last year I have seen my body undergo serious delapitation. I've also got pretty severe forward head. This short video has helped me more than any amount of PT. I can't believe the reduction in pain. I can't thank you enough. God bless you!

    I totally love this! I have degenerative spine disease and scoliosis. Today was my first time trying chair yoga. :-) I used so many different parts of my body. Yes, the stretching hurt a little but I didn't push it. Looking forward to doing this as part of my daily routine. Everyone young or a bit older :-) should try it!

    OMG! I havent done yoga in years....I am out of shape and my body is hurting....lower back, arms, feet.... This chair yoga was AMAZING!!!!! I have not been able to release my lower back and it released over and over again. I felt so good and was so excited in the short amount of time. I'm so glad my Dr recommended you and this video.     The routine was perfect--halfway between very difficult yoga and some overly easy chair yoga I've tried. I'm planning to use this in a new group I'm starting at a day program for adults with mental illness. Thank you for your wonderful yoga routine. I feel great during and after doing it!

    I was actually able to do this entire video!! I have been discouraged because I have gotten so debilitated and haven’t been able to exercise. This video is doable. Being able to follow your breath with these exercises is soooo helpful. I also like the fact that this only take 10 minutes. THANK YOU!!!!!

    I'm 66 and stopped practicing yoga because of dizziness and bouts of vertigo. Your practice went well for me with the chair as support. You also maintained a good pace and I did not get dizzy. Thank you. Namaste

      There is a wonderful home easy cure for vertigo! Just google "vertigo youtube". It worked great for me!

    I'm 67 too! I use a ironing table instead of a chair for the forward fold at the beginning because of the shape of my chair. It works fine. When getting to the hip stretch, I stretch an arm across the the desk in front of me. That works too. Thanks Brett!

    This is a great, well put together simple yoga video. I have limited range, have become overweight, have a twisted spine that causes me issues moving, bad hips and I am 50. Oh and I'm always stubbing my toe braking it so my feet don't work all the time the way I want. I have tried other "easy chair yoga" and didn't like them, they hurt!!! Your video is great and easy. I actually lasted through the whole thing (on beginner poses) and felt stretched out for once, not hurting! I am excited about finding more of your videos and also looking forward to doing these everyday!!

    Thank you for this video! I used to love yoga and aerobics but stopped because life got too busy and hectic, and exercise became another chore that I grew to dislike. This is not only the perfect length of time, but it is also gentle on my inflexible body. Feeling better already.

    My first yoga experience. My goodness. I have been doing physical therapy for a full hip replacement and have decided to work on my whole body. I am impressed at how this makes me feel. I feel like I really worked out. I actually sweat and didn't mind it. I hate sweating but next time I will put the fan on to keep me cooler. This routine also makes concessions for my hip replacement and will ready my other hip for it's surgery. Yay! Thank you so much!

    I underwent total hip replacement surgery 6 weeks ago, and am now recovered enough that even with physical therapy, I am feeling this deep seated urge to stretch from the inside, but am severely limited in what I can do, and how I can do it.
    The first 9 minutes of this video are all motions I can perform. At this time, anything placing the replacement hip behind me is verboten, so the 2nd variations from then on were beyond my abilities.
    But THANK YOU so much for those first 9 minutes! Gentle, with clear explanations and smiling encouragement. My new hip and the rest of me thanks you!

    I am a newcomer to your channel. I’m only 54, but I have terrible fibromyalgia along with hip bursitis, left and right. I enjoyed this video very much! Yes, I would do more like this. I have to use a chair. I’m just very “wobbly” while standing. I work everyday, sitting, so I could utilize these videos in my office on breaks! 💜

    Love this one! It is great for me as I am still experiencing symptoms from a concussion. This is allowing me to get back into my daily yoga after being unable to walk and practice yoga daily for the past 6 weeks.     Found your TH-cam yoga yesterday. Love it, I have a spur and torn collar bone and neck arthritis caused by another spur. This was great to help me stretch my neck and back. Also easy as I have balance problems. Thank you.

    I like it. I do chair yoga in a group at our senior center once a week...wanted to add something for another day. This was more strenuous, some of the stretches were harder than what I'm used to. My issue is spinal stenosis so some of the standing postures were a bit hard. I know one has to monitor oneself. Pace and breathing are great.

    My husband and I love your chair yoga and would like to see more. I would like to see a variation for placing my right leg on my left leg, since I cannot get my right leg up over my left leg yet. I can do the opposite side, but what can I do to get there with my right side. We both suffered whiplash and I notice a big difference between my right and left side. Sometimes, perhaps giving a less strenuous variation of some of the movements would help or even a complete session with lower intense stretches. We are in our mid to late 60's and are completely new to yoga, but we are seeing the benefits already. We will definitely keep coming back. Thanks Brett!

    I truly enjoyed this video. I have done quite a few chair yoga videos on TH-cam and found yours to be different and very beneficial. It was nice to be able to both sit and stand during this video. I will definitely do this one again.

    Really enjoyed this! It was surprised how effective the stretches were, especially the hips. More chair yoga, please! I am a personal trainer and I have clients with limited mobility that are looking for chair yoga to do on their days off from the gym.

    Lovely. I am facing double knee surgery and my hip is getting out of whack. I need good stretches that will not make this worse. I am 61 and I felt all of the good stretches but it kept the main pressure off of my knees. And definitely would like more. Thank you Syl

    Going crazy compiling with stay at home, the joints were getting stiffer and stiffer. And then I found your video. Thank you for helping me begin my day feeling rejuvenated.     Loved it - I'd injured side muscles which were really helped here. I just found that rubbing my thighs helped them relax into the exercise, holding the calf across the knee. Thank you.

    55 years old. Any time I have tried yoga I have gotten dizzy or nauseous. This was great! Such a great stretch in my hips and spine. I loved it!
