I ride an r6, and while it is fun, i don’t have as much fun as I did on my dual sport lol. I could take it anywhere and do stupid stuff. If I had to have one bike it would probably be a tenere 700. Not too big not too small, can do highway miles, wheelies, some back roads, and the mt07 engine reliability.

Oh, and to answer your question I would have to say my most enjoyable/fun bike that I have rode would be the street triple. Popping wheelies wasn’t as frightening to do versus the speed triple or my current Daytona. (But nobody cares). All the best, Brent!

Personally own 3-bikes. Have had 5 at one time.
From Supersports, to my z125. My favorite bikes I’ve owned and sold and own now. Would be my MT10 and the FZ1. Great all around bikes. Plenty of potential for long distance travel. Plenty of power when needed, and comfortable.
I personally don’t see myself buying anymore super sports. If I do, would be a 600 class. It’s more fun to go faster on a slow bike, then slower on a fast bike. My current garage is
    1) 2021 MT10
    2) 2004 VTX1800c
    3) 2021 Z125

I totally get you... i have a 2020 gsxr 1000, and sometimes it gets boring, cause it can do one thing, and that is speed. But on my small bikes, we go exploring and different places and it'll be very fun. The litre bike is a one trick pony and thats it.

I never did get a liter sportsbike, I went with the Speed Triple 1200 this year ... the problem is the upper revs can't be enjoyed without speeding even with 1st gear. If I could only keep one of my bikes, I'd ditch the Triumph and Grom and keep the Ninja 650.

  • @LMActionsports

Yeah The wife finally approved me get another liter bike. I had a CBR 929RR 10 years ago and I was getting a little stupid on it and before I killed myself I got rid of it. But I’ve grown in the past 10 years and then started looking for another bike. And prices for new ones were crazy and how much they wanted for a brand new R1. So I’ve been looking for a nice used one and it came down to a 2008 ZX 10r or an 07 R1 red raven. Well I picked the 07 R1 for $4100 cuz the clutch was slipping. Put a new clutch kit in it and it runs perfect and looks immaculate. I don’t need ABS, or traction control or all that high-tech stuff. Just give me a good set of rubber and a GPR steering stabilizer in the bike is perfect for my needs. I want a good running bike that I can have fun and all the twisties that are all around my house up here in the hills of Pennsylvania. So the 07 Yamaha R1 is my new ride. I am looking at those KTM super dukes 1290. They look sweet

Owned quite a few bikes but never a liter bike. The 600 super sport was my least favorite though. I hated the ergonomics of that kind of motorcycle, simply wasn't fun for me especially for any kind of distance. Eventually I gravitated to the supermoto set-up and that's what I enjoy most. I might say I'd have to probably modify the seat to make it more comfortable to use it regularly but overall it's my favorite ride. Currently I ride an MZ Baghira, over 55k miles on it, and I know it's not a Supermoto, rather a motard set-up on a dual-sport, and I love it. So that's me.

I have own 2 Super Dukes with my present 2018 now. I wanted another bike so I looked at the Ducati Streetfighter and MV AGusta dragster 800rr Pirelli edition. I went with the MV AGusta. Small, agile with great power to weight which is useable. Same with the useable street rpm of the super Duke. Happy with these two bikes. Having raced professional motocross and flat track these still have more power than anyone can use on the street. I still have a grom. The MV is moving art. That triple is like a V4 but more character.

I wouldn’t call liter bikes overrated. I’d say they’re not on my radar for what I want. I ride with a group of liter bikes occasionally. I’m the only one on a cruiser that’s also stock. Open highway they’re gone obviously. But once stuff of the real world becomes a factor. Traffic, stop lights, back roads with driveways and pedestrians, potholes, wildlife possibly crossing. They’re still faster but it’s not as noticeable because every time everyone is coming to a stop I’m right there next to them. The big difference is they have more fun on the highway and occasionally if there’s a mountain road with no cross traffic. Around here that’s one road and it’s only a few miles long so they’ll go for the day just going up, then turning around and going back down. Because it’s the only place they can push their bikes somewhat hard with the biggest danger being going off the cliff. I on the other can push my bike to it’s limits basically every day no matter where I am within reason. But I think at the end of the day we’d all agree that we’d be happy with a naked or adv bike. I love cruisers but after having 5 of them. I won’t be buying another. I’ve already said if I ever find a MT-09 SP or Tiger 900GT in my area without a mark up I’m getting one of them. I’d hold out for a Street Triple if they promised cruise control. It’s all personal opinions. I personally wouldn’t want anything where I can comfortably go 150+ and most people on supersports brag about doing 180+
