I literally started street riding at the beginning of the year and got a cheap 250 for my first bike. My friend let me ride his 2008 R1 and couldn't believe how much power was behind my right wrist. His bike is flashed, tuned and is 200hp. After that experience I can't imagine having anything less than a liter bike. My goal is to upgrade to an MT10, when prices become reasonable again 😎

Upside is if you are a skilled rider it's probably the most fun on two wheels for the price. Have fun and ride your own ride, and you will stay alive! P.s not tryna lecture you, I'm speaking from 30yrs experience!. + I owned one for two years before I got my dad bike a Kawasaki ZX -14! Lol
@@avgblue5180 if a flashed tuned Mt10 isn't fast enough at 170+mph get a sprocket with a couple more teeth and then exhaust upgrade and tune and flash, you will be very close to the 200mph club depending on your weight and a decent road! You really don't feel much more between 186mph and 200mph.

I’m a current Harley Dyna rider but feel I need another notch on my Midlife Crisis headboard. This donut called Oahu be warned when I get a itch.
Well, my litre bike is a SV1000 K3 naked version. The sound of the V-twin, the torque - it makes it in my opinion the perfect street bike. Yes, she's an old big girl, but out in real life on the streets, she keeps up with over 90% of modern bikes and if you not careful you can wallpaper your whole house/flat with speeding tickets. Have tracked it yet - nope Do I plan to take it one day to the track - yes ...but it's not on my priority list. Also, I jumped from a 125cc straight onto the SV1000 😁 Only used the 125cc to do my Direct Access course here in the UK.
Can confirm. Nothing comes close to having a Busa. Owned two Gen 1s and man... still the best I've owned. My current ride is better in so many ways, with sublime quickshifter, triple cross-plane bark and electronics that'll make you a coffee mid-ride. But the Busa...you remember 'that time' you cracked 'that speed' and it didn't feel like anything at all on the big pig. In the middle of a 1000km ride.
i got an 07 repsol CBR1000RR and love it. comfy enough for longer use but i can rip it around when i really need to. I also LOVE the repsol livery too, works with my MM93 Shoei helmet.
I don't need the fastest bike on the block. I am super happy with my just acquired 2017 Ducati 939 Supersport that looks like new and had 2159 km on it when I bought it a little over a month ago. every time I get on it I feel like I am on something special. the bike has sole and character and looks beautiful. without the back breaking ergonomics of todays sport bikes. so you can actually enjoy riding it around the streets.
How about the Top 7 Motorcycles for the over 70s who are still riding? Never mind the track days, can I ride 400 kms (248 miles) in a day and still walk, commute on the thing, do the shopping runs and draw a crowd at the weekly bikers' breakfast meet a 30km (18 mile) ride away? And not be embarrassed on the twisties with 150 other younger guys with any thing from leader bikes to old Brit Iron that look good? 75, still working, still riding, still swimming and still running. But not up to 1000 cc Widow Makers. Great video.

There was a dude in my neighborhood with a stretched gixxer… I met him once. Haven’t seen him in a while. 🤔
This has to be one of the best Yammie videos ever.
Yam clearly loves his liter sportbikes.
The Gixer love had me dying.
Because , who does'nt love a Gixer?
you guys and your speed limits, why i love the autobahn
Bro the ending of the video was awesome! LOL. Especially with the yellow police tape!
I think the best part about GSXR's would be NO electronics. ABS, when it works, is pushing it but all I need is a slipper clutch and I happy as a clam!!!
I'm a boring dad and I live hundreds of miles from the nearest track. I like riding through the mountains around the northern great divide. I like having the torque to pass a line of tourists in Winnebagos with just a bit of wrist.
Holy cowels that MV Agusta is insanely beautiful
That last part made me want to throw on some flip flops, stack three puka shell necklaces, paint a dragon giving birth to a swing arm, while NOS purge steams from its nose and Kid Rock blares from the speakers I've mounted in the fairings. Giving the finger to a state trooper as I do 200 mph interstate pulls.....yeet. That is all.
Yesssssss just what I needed
31 year old with disposable income looking to buy a brand new r1 to take out on the weekends and have fun while i ride my z650 back and forth to work. Only thing that wasn't true was I don't push paper I turn wrenches industrial maintenance tech that is probably over payed
I will be 30 in nine years.
Crazy how short life is.
9 years ago, i was a completely different person.
I thinn life ends at age 45. After that there is no living just watching your mind and body slowly but surely crumble back to dust
I aint sure how you cope with Ageing
I literally started street riding at the beginning of the year and got a cheap 250 for my first bike. My friend let me ride his 2008 R1 and couldn't believe how much power was behind my right wrist. His bike is flashed, tuned and is 200hp. After that experience I can't imagine having anything less than a liter bike. My goal is to upgrade to an MT10, when prices become reasonable again 😎
sounds a lot like me man, got my mt07 6 months and do love it, but I still dream of a mt10 or liter bike, prolly mt10:)
@@avgblue5180 I told my friend when I came back he fucked up letting me ride it 😂 the little 250 just isn't cutting it lol. The MT07 was the bike I had thought about starting out on, but I couldn't pass on the deal for my current bike. I'm hoping Yamaha revamps the styling like they did for the other MT's. I rather like the single headlight setup.
@@peemot007 yea, i know the mt10 isn't the most beautiful but seams so dam powerful but also can daily ride, win win.. also im sure your 250 is a blast, even when we go bigger im sure its never enough, lol
That's a huge leap to Mt10, it's got a super snatchy throttle and if you aren't extremely proficient with throttle management and also what to do when you, NOT if you, power wheelie a dank ass monster wheelie you will fuck that awesome bike up for sure!!!
The Busa is the perfect machine. Best beginner bike, and a velvety smooth welcome back if you've taken some time off?
Fact
I haven't rode daily in almost 6 years. My first bike was a 2005 Ninja ZK6R, last was a Cruiser V-Star. Going to get back on a sport bike, looking at 1'000 CC.
2:40 I tested a 2021 CBR1000RR and a 2021 ZX10R and went with the Ninja because I found it way more comfortable for my lanky frame (6'2", 180# with a 34# inseam and 78" wingspan). My ideal riding is long days in the mountains, so go figure.
the 2018+ CBRs are tiny in comparison the model mentioned on this list. They did a full 180 and went entirely track focussed.
Wow...the BUSA part at the end...still smiling AFTER watching the video!! DAMN, I want one now!
"highly recommend the crossplane 2009 and on" *happy snapping crankshaft noises* engine builders will love you for your choice.
I didnt buy my beginner bike but this list will totally help me
We need a „top 7 ways to say the word torque“ video from the good ol‘ papa yammo
I found the bike for me a long time ago. 2012 Fireblade. Perfect.
watching this without having the money for a litre class
I like my s1000r, right around the time I got that bike Yams started doing this channel.
Rsv4 or r1 for me. That soundtrack ❤️❤️
This is by far one of the most motivating and entertaining videos on TH-cam, pros this dude.!!! His voice is so entertaining that it makes me want to buy a motorcycle 😂😂
I ride a 2009 cbr and i put all hrc internals in it and an akrapovic full system and it puts down 194 on the wheel
Hello yammie noob, thx for letting me know to get a turbo hayabusa, it was a slow beginner bike but i quickly grew to love it. With my motocycle style jacket and glasses for gear i feel so safe, thanks
My first bike was the ZH2, glad it wasn't on the list, otherwise I would be terrified!
The busa discription is perfect can't be any better.
Your hype on the busa was epic!!! I couldn't stop laughing 🤣
Being that I’m actually a older/oldish retired navy sailor (squid) type that proudly sports a semi-fluffy dad bod I have to admit I’ve been eyeballing what could be the last year for Kawasaki’s ZX14r. I’m a current Harley Dyna rider but feel I need another notch on my Midlife Crisis headboard. This donut called Oahu be warned when I get a itch.
Ah, I see Kawasaki was implied. It was position #0 for Zed. ZX-10R.
The hayabusa poetry was profoundly beautiful. I saw light.
Excellent! Good work, Yammy!
Yammie Noob... LOVE YOUR STYLE!!! MAKES ME SMILE!!!
man you got me with the marketed case. smooth.
4:34
Ft lbs of torgoreenamos 🤣
I love how every time you have to talk about torque you make up some random funny ass shit 😂🙌🏻
All these cool new motorcycles and all I’ll ever want is an sv1000
💯💯💯💯
Well,
my litre bike is a SV1000 K3 naked version.
The sound of the V-twin, the torque - it makes it in my opinion the perfect street bike.
Yes, she's an old big girl, but out in real life on the streets, she keeps up with over 90% of modern bikes and if you not careful you can wallpaper your whole house/flat with speeding tickets.
Have tracked it yet - nope
Do I plan to take it one day to the track - yes ...but it's not on my priority list.
Also, I jumped from a 125cc straight onto the SV1000 😁
Only used the 125cc to do my Direct Access course here in the UK.
In the middle of a 1000km ride.
dude! Your videos have me cheesing ear to ear lmao... amazing work yammie!
i got an 07 repsol CBR1000RR and love it. comfy enough for longer use but i can rip it around when i really need to.
7:26 if it says "most replayed" here, you'll know its because of me
no one gaf abt ur comment 0 likes 0 replies until now and lower ur ego
i actually saw a quintessential busa bro last night in clt; never saw one in the wild before and I couldn't help but smile and chuckle
All of them. That new zx-10r especially… The rational side of myself says pimped out z900 cause it’s faster than a mt-09.
ZX-10R. Yes.
This energy papa yams bestows upon us is like no other and must be known across the land 🙏🏾😩
Yesssssss so excited for my daily dose of squid missiles and yam lol
5:10 hilarious, it's literally only used by yobbos doing burnouts, wheelies and 180mph pulls on the motorway in an adidas tracksuit and a side pouch here in the UK
