Yeah. Feel you on this. I'm 40. I want a bike that's good at everything, that I can use for everything and I just don't care about going as fast as I can any more. That's for kids with something they feel they still need to prove.
Big bikes are fun to ride. Very fast, powerful and just cool. At 67 I have a ZX14R and a C-14. Rode the ZX-14R for 1400 miles on a trip last month. Was relatively comfortable for a sport bike and had a blast.
@@Rrrakanishu I ride in N Thailand. Some brilliant roads. Highest deaths in the world for bikes…..🙈 So, NAKED bike. 220 about max Used to run at 280+ on Litre bikes That is DEATH here 😥😥😥😥🙏🙏🙏🙏
As a 51 year old rider, you nailed it. My first liter was a 2000 CBR929, then a 2006 FZ1 because my body was starting to ache from dirt bike wrecks. I still have the FZ1 but would get a SuperDuke GT if I could spare the funds. RIP liter bike.
Yammie hit a lot of great points. Money is tight. I'm 45 and I have a naked 750. Perfect do all bike. And I do sometimes hit 140 mph on an open country road. But I've always been frugal. A $6000 city motorcycle is perfect for most people. I don't adventure ride. I don't highway ride. I'm just a normal dad working a normal job. Also I'm a certified motorcycle mechanic. My bike is easy to maintenance. Also a big plus. It saves me thousands of dollars in the long run.
95% of Western riders walk past the bike that is most suitable for their use case and put more money than they have to on the counter for something that they don't need and will be quite frankly a PITA for 95% of the riding that they do, although I do see this trend changing in more recent times. A combination of better middle weight offerings from the big 4, Triumph and Royal Enfield, and a growing percentage of the market now having thinner wallets, does appear to be changing things.
@@Super-Bike-Joe I went to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute for a year and a half, aka MMI. Summer of 2006 until fall of 2008. They have campuses in Phoenix and Orlando. It is a sister school of UTI. Good school. I learned lots from great instructors. The trick is getting into the field and staying there.
I wish I could go to those schools!!! Im taking it thru Stratford inst. it’s OK. Fortunately I worked on my bikes and cars (fast cars). So know a lot already. Im probably going to open my own shop.
I guess I'm the exception. I'm 60 years old and ride a 2022 bought new in 22 GSXR 750. It's my last hooray and will ride it until I can't! I'm still in shape and able to carve the mountain curves. Sure it has limits as far as long rides in the comfort department, but I don't care. I'm going out with a bang! One day I may have to sell it and find something more comfortable, but not until I decide that I'm ready. As for now, I still am enjoying the thrill! It is so much better than my old Kawasaki 1997 ZX7R that I bought new back in the day. That thing was heavy! My bike is now sub 400 lbs. Lots of mods. And more to come. It's my drug of choice! You are only as old as you think you are! Stay young in your mind and stay in shape and you will be able to do more than you think!
I have a preference for big engine bikes for a different reason (I've been riding for 37 years and never exceed 100mph anymore) - I love torque. I love being able to pass 2 semi trucks without even having to downshift. I love how much less shifting is involved. I love being able absolutely smoke cars and have the motor sound like I'm just putting around. I love the overkill.
For me in the UK a liter bike really doesn't interest me cause there's nowhere to use it all. motorways have tonnes of traffic or camaras and all the other roads are fun twisties you don't need a big bike to enjoy. I find the low down torque and 0-60 time so much more fun than going 190+mph
I'm in Australia. We have really strict speeding rules here, with heavy penalties and heavily policed. You can't even make the most of a 600 super sport on our roads, legally.
and im in arizona which is notorious for lax speeding laws and large highways. i have to drive an hour to one specific road to find some good twisties. geography plays a big part in what i own. i would never own my panigale v4s in new york or a bid city.
They are very similar. The big difference is torque. My Ducati ST2 has a 929cc engine. It will drift and spin the tire all around town. It always needs a new rear tire. My Gxs S750 is a naked gsx R750. It does 0-60 on 3 seconds 0-100 in 5. It doesn't waste the torque spinning. It grips and goes. And is lighter.
@@YacolJhaha that's awesome dude, I don't know if it's visible from my profile pic, but I also have a GSX S750! Maybe I've just gotten used to it, but I feel I can "abuse" the throttle and never really fear pulling a wheelie (unless I'm in 1st). Awesome bike!
As a Liter Bike rider, absolutely NOBODY (including myself) Should have one of these absurd machines on the street. There’s no good reason to have one. Maybe that’s why I LOVE THEM 😂
@@logangodofcandy No, because we really have no good reason to have that much power and speed on the road. It’s absurd. And I love it. I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤷♂️😂🤷♂️ Are you reading all my words or just some?
Gen X!!! Sport touring bikes have me hooked, they are the swiss army knife of the biking world. Track day to off road and everything in between, they do it all. My Buell XB12XT is stupid fun hooning around some rural backroads.
I bought a 2024 BMW s1000rr not because I plan to go 190mph on the high way just to show people how big my nuts are, but simply because of the technology and how safe/forgiving it is. I like the fact that with it I’ll be prepared to do anything I want. Hit some curves in the mountains, do straight lines down the highway, take it to the track, or simply just cruise around my city. I’m not big on trying to be the fastest but to know that I can hang with the best of them if I wanted/needed too then it’s nice to know.
I respect what your saying Bro. But I'm 47 and I love my CBR1000rr. It feels smooth as heck and fun. Not real fun in town but wonderful on the open roads and twisties.
This is quite literally what's happening. I recently bought my dream bike ( 2015 yamaha r6. ) and loved every minute of it. Until someone decided to go around me and push me into the shoulder on his way back into the lane. Ended up hitting a patch of gravel and low sided her. I'm trying to rebuild it but it's expensive and I don't have alot of free time to work on it for hrs on end. I've been thinking about just selling what I've got left but. I can't. I love this bike so much. And it's all just so frustrating. But it's whatever ig. I'll get it working again.
If the R1s are getting discontinued, you should absolutely buy one. You will be able to ride it for a year or 2 and have fun, and then sell it on the used market for the same exact price you paid, or maybe slightly more if you take care of it.
I daily my sv650. Yammie Noob is spot on with the economy and younger want to be riders with no cash. I know a guy right now who would buy one if he could but cant. Also that Scrambler YN was on is awesome looking. Love this channel.
R1 to Superduke in the last 13 years. I wouldn't want any different. I have been looking at 600s something for track use but not as a replacement. Big bikes with stupendous horsepower is simply too much singleminded fun. When I crack open that throttle, I want my eyeballs to retract and my brain fried. Anytime I ride anything smaller, it does the job of riding perfectly well and it is fun in its own way, but the mindbending HP of a literbike is addictive.
Age is just a number. I'm always going to be young at heart, so no matter what age I am, I still love my sports bikes. I own 2 sport touring motorcycles. One is a 1300cc, and the other is a 998cc, and both are still fast as hell. I think liter bikes are for anyone who can respect the power they have(RESPONSIBLE RIDERS) and have some common since
GenZ was raised by the X-Games, I'm 54 and I started riding on an FZ-09 when I was 44. I now ride a Ducati Streetfighter V4S and I don't need any more comfort. As young as you feel I guess.
Me and my buddy bought royal enfield scram 411s as we do off road adventures that we like to take our risks on. On road riding i stick to speed limits cause bad drivers on the roads. Have fun on any 2 wheels you can get!
I bought my first bike last season gsx 8s, I’m 30y.o and I still watching and thinking about something bigger , faster , better sound and better looking, but at the end of the day I realize I don’t ride my gsx 8s full throttle all the time , and yes it’s not the fastest thing on the road but it’s not slow it’s more than enough, and still I wanna try this beautiful category of Ducatis BMWs and Yamaha just for understand how is it, be safe guys have a good season !!!
They are for ME. I like BIG bikes that don't feel high strung and stressed. I'm shopping around now for a Diavel V4 to park next to my RSV1000R. When I buy a bike, I keep them for a LONG time.
I agree with poppa yam. I have zero desire to break 140mph anymore. Even on track. But for me naked bikes are just not sexy to me. That’s why I chose the R7. Looks the business. And with a few mods it’s an absolute blast to ride. In the twistys or the track. I no longer care how fast I can go on the freeway.
it has been like this for many generations in my country, it is very rare that anyone buys a new bike, I've rearly met anyone that has bought a new bike, even a practical bike, so it has been like this for 100+ years in my country, as far as I know
“Gen Z do crazy things” and wheelies in a return entrance “These guys are 50’s now, and they want something not body demanding, like a scrambler” riding a scrambler 😂
I don't get what you mean? Scramblers have soft suspension, your sat up right so you have no pressure on your joints, low pegs so your legs are stretched out, so all in all they are very comfortable and easy to ride if you ride sensible. So I fail to see what you mean? I've been on a ton of bikes and a scrambler is the most relaxing bike of all unless you off-road then it's a different story.
I dont necessarily want to use all the speedo but definitely do a hard pull from 5mph to 100mph at least once every time i take a bike out. I love the exceleration. Not much else can do that. Very expensive in a car
I agree with you Yammie, I’m 42 and was exactly on that crossroads a month ago. Opted for a new ‘23 Super Ténéré instead of a (quite possibly last) ‘24 R1M. My “racing” days are done with the ‘13 1199 I sold a year ago. Still ride my R7 to “feel” those days. I can grow old comfortably on my ADV.
I have lived 6 miles from Laguna Seca for 20+ years. Hence I have my arsenal. My CBR1000RR SP is a handful on that tight track. Just had a track day last week. So got a V2 Panigale and it's a little more manageable out on that track. But Thunderhill is right up the way couple hours and the CBR is badass, little more open track. I still get smoked by A rider 600's but I like my bikes. The Honda is like riding on a cloud with your first girlfriend.
I ride a 300f in India and this video in my drunken state and has landed me with an epiphany, that if you're a street squid you should have a big budget to fix those burnt clutch plates, and many things like that, so now I'm gonna drive my bike comfortably so I can enjoy it a lot longer
In India and the Asias, most people purchase bikes for daily transportation, and they buy something like the 300f because it's relatively affordable, cheap to run and is ideal for their use case in terms of performance. In the West, I hate to admit it, but we have a tendency to buy bikes as a status symbol first and a practical tool, second.
@@davidbrayshaw3529 you're right on all three points, Except that I bought is a youngun, and it is my first bike, and seeing all the squids over here in India, wanted me to push it a little bit harder every single time because 80% of the time I'm on of the faster bikes on road since I'm surrounded by 125s and 150s and occasionally 200s, but I've since come to realise that Racing to Enjoy and Riding to Enjoy are both equally good ways to enjoy your bike.
66 year old here. I just boughf a 2016 duke 690 (as new with 5k on it) to get me back into riding. Haven't ridden for 30 years plus so its going to be interesting. Get it next Wednesday.
Well...I have the Ninja 1000SX, ..I certainly didn't buy it to go 150mph..the comfort , smoothness , modes, and rider aids, is why I got it. And of course the power is there if/when you want it. I will admit it's waaayyy more power than I need, or would ever use
Same reason why I got my gsxs1000f. First of all for comfort, but also for gear ratio and touring capabilities. If you don’t have any death wish, everything’s going to be just fine lolll
@Neth3rcr4ft this is true sir..i always ride as careful as i know how...just gotta watch out for the other jerkoffs on the road, now more than ever since cell phones came into the mix. 90% of accidents these days is because of that..unfortunately
I prefer the ADV ergos of an ADV bike myself, but I really love that the Ninja 1000SX and S1000GT both exist. It's nice to see at least some traditional sport tourers still exist on the market today, even if their ergos don't quite work for me in the long run. Love those bikes.
@Gofr5 I like the ADV bikes too...though most of them are a little tall for my 5,5 short ass...lol. I've only ridden 1 which was the Versys 1000...tall bike but rides beautifully
I have one too, but the eccentric axel nut and asymmetrical forks are a huge turn off for me after a year of ownership... I think I might trade it for an MT-10SP or something of the sort this year.
I have an adventure bike, never intending to take it off road- Tiger 900 gt, I like it for light touring without getting a monster sized Harley or Vaquero. I have a dual sport for the dirt.
31 y/o with a '94 ZX11 here. Nobody needs to go this fast, let alone modern fast. I like this class of sports tourer for the added comfort, but i could get by with half the engine without any trouble.
I was considering a Yamaha R1 for my next bike as my third bike; ultimately, when the 2024 MT09 was released with all the updates, I decided to preorder that bike after riding my friend's 2023 MT09. Comfort and Torque won me over.
Dam yams I had no idea your age. You are wise beyond your years. I’m kinda jealous lol. I’m 40 but been riding street bikes since I was 35. I still ride a 600rr. Plenty fast and fun. But I do kinda want a 1000. Just for the rush of the power, and to see the differences between the two as far as handling/ride feeling. Always wanted a r1
I recently rode my friend's FZ6 around the city. At no point did I feel it lacked torque. And my main bike is SV1000 which friggin' pulls from anywhere. My point is detuned i4 with a classic firing order, even a 600, sounds really sweet and works really smooth and also has enough juice for the city. I'm going to get me an i4 sport tourer and I wouldn't want to trade it for an adventure. However, I'd like a dedicated middleweight adventure bike to put luggage on and ride around the country for a few weeks.
I’ve been riding pretty much my whole life I’m turning 50 in a few months and just bought a 2023 s1000rr fkn love it had a mt 10 ya fun but still to me nothing beats or is more fun to ride in my opinion.
Five years ago I saw a Triumph Tiger 1050 for the first time. I just thought it was the most beautiful bike I had ever seen. I JUST HAD TO HAVE ONE. I liked it was a triple, I didn't care that it was a 1050 if it had been a 650 I would have still bought one. It is comfortable and effortless which is what I do care about. By the way I am 76 and live in my birth country New Zealand. Am I a typical owner/rider?
That person is me. I'm currently saving for an S1000RR lol. I refuse to get a loan like that for a toy, so if i can't save it, i don't get it. Been riding for 20 years, I've done lots of track days and i will be doing more with the BMW when i get it.
I stopped riding for a long time for one reason. Criminals. I've been shot twice by guys wanting to steal my bikes. I finally have a garage and live in a better area, so i decided to try again. I tried to get a less criminally attractive bike, but my dream bike was sitting right next to it and i didnt want the buyers remorse.
@@SamslamminCars I had my first Beetle, back in the early 80's. It was a paddock basher, as we say in Australia. I had a later Superbug (55hp!) which I had registered and drove on the road and a couple of Kombi vans after that. I have no doubt that your bike is a blast. Way to much bike for my ability to be ridden with any vigour, especially given our draconian speed limits and penalties for breaking them.
@@davidbrayshaw3529 icing on the cake with a super bug man, thanks for sharing!! We have it bad here too in Virginia with the harsh laws. The Speedy is nice with the short gearing; you can have a lot of fun from light to light. I am used to more powerful bikes but this one has character. Power wheelies on tap & the short wheel base is a blast in the city. Perfect all around in my opinion.
Love watching from the camera mounted on the stick away from the bike since you can't see the pole holding the camera, but you CAN see the shadow of it!
cost and disposable income are the problem i suppose, though some will say the opposite about the market. i'm 53 this year and just bought myself a 2nd hand s1000rr which i couldn't afford for years but can now and looking forward to it being delivered. i can't wait lol
Wait! I have a Ninja 1000sx and an Africa Twin… both liter bikes. The 1000sx is a great sport touring bike (with a side of aggressive twisties) and the AT for off-roading and Alaska/Colorado runs! I don’t choose the ‘Liter Bike’ due to comfort and usability.

I think that one of the reasons that sales of sportbikes is decreasing is that the bigger ADV bikes are so powerful. when you get 150+ hp AND the versatility and comfort, and at the same time get good to excellent handling for trackdays - 'Add the economy to that and people choose a Tracer 9, Multistrada V4 or even Pan America.
Coming from the past 10 years of Naked bikes and super bikes. My most recent was a ZX14r. This year i have a new Tiger 1200 and couldnt be happier. It still has enough performance to match my riding style for 90% of what i ever did on the 1400. But now i have unmatched comfort, and speed gets old, and gets boring, you get used too it, and you cant always use it. But comfort is used 100% of your time when riding. And comfort doesnt go out of style. Sport bikes are cool if you let your ego get away from you. But they arent fun to live with. Even if they put a smile on your face 10% of the time.
Im 25 and have no real interest in sport bikes. Even as a kid, the Ducati Monster is the bike that made me fell in love with motorcycles. Rn I'm rocking a 690 duke (my first bike) and looking to upgrade to either a 890 duke R or a Yamaha XSR 900.
Ive been riding my liter k5 for the 5th year now. It's my second bike after the F3. I've come to the realization that I like cornering more than just going fast. I will probably never have the chance to purchase a brand new motorcycle in my lifetime - and I am completely fine with that. It's not worth it. I do feel a lot more invested in doing work on my bike than just dumping a crazy amount of money on a brand new one. I know just about enough about vehicles technically to never even want a brand new vehicle.
It's funny how people who ride daily don't need 180 horsepower but people who only ride 2 or 3 days a month in Spring, Summer and Autumn do. I wonder why that is?
ZX10R felt slow, got a Panigale problem solved. Start of summer it feels fast, but doesn't take long to adjust to it and then it feels... Normal? Go to the Ile of Man enjoy no speed limits. Also bike sales are down? Well yer 35k for a new bike today? Lol 10 years ago 12k got you the best and throwing it up the road or the car park oppsie didn't hurt so much (Financially), even I refuse to pay 35K for todays shinny its ridiculous.
Hit the nail on the head with the alternatives part. Liter class supersports are great but there are so many other options. Ive had a lot of bikes over the years, at 29 have basically settled in to only riding adv bikes and sport tourers. I still have a crusty old 600 for hooligan stuff but an r1 just isnt in the books. If i had heaps of disposable income id buy a brand new panigale to put in my living room but tbh it wouldnt get ridden much.
I paid cash for my BMW S1000RR in red livery. I am 60 years old living in Alaska, I like to go fast and miss all the moose on our highways! Really, I love adrenalin!!!!!
I think there is something to be said about having globs of power that is not highly strung out like a 600. For commuting semi long distances like I do for work.. a fully faired liter bike with a tail pack is amazing. Small enough to split lanes, fast enough to get anywhere in great time, and sexy ride.
I own a new 22 brz. I can't afford gas let alone food. I'm lucky I live with my parents. To all of you who are young and live with your parents. Cherish this. One day they won't be there. This generation will get through this. I wish I had a dual sport though just because gas is so expensive. I travel a lot for my job. Sometimes 400 miles a day.
I am a life time rider. 62 years young. at 10 I had a Kawasaki KZ50, then a KZ 125, at 25 I had a Honda NS400R it was fast and I road it hard. now I have a Ducati Panagale V4s course and a KTM RC390 as a daily. As for a cruiser bike I am looking at the new Kawasaki Eliminator. Life goes by way to fast so enjoy every day.
I love litter bikes. Got a BMW S1000r and I just love having the power on tap when I need or want. I however, 90% of the time take it easy, I trying to enjoy life. In my opinion, the more power the better, it’s very manageable. That is if it’s not breaking your wallet
Back “in the day” I was able to own 7 bikes at the same time. A superbike, a sportbike, naked, ADV, UJM, a track-only bike, etc. Fast forward to today and I only have an 07’ Tiger 1050 with 55,000 miles that must last until the end of times.
I bought my '23 s1k because I wanted it. I have not yet used the entire speedometer, however 😂. It is super comfortable to ride, and im about 6'1 in my riding boots and 285lbs. I do a lot of highway commuting, so having a straightline squid missile is convenient. A 400 is certainly not hauling my fat ass at highway speeds lol. I also don't like adventure bikes and stuff personally, but that's just me.
@@heavenlytacos1221 Generally, not good at all. Especially if you have no experience with anything like dirtbikes/atvs etc, and you're young. There's a maturity factor if you're going to start on something that big, and my ninja1000 was nothing compared to the ballistic missile my S1KRR is. Always recommend starting on a smaller displacement bike. Yes you will get bored and want to "level up", but following the progression of displacement is the "safest" and most recommended route.

I just ordered a 2024 MT-09. Seemed like a more modern snappy version of my old 919, just with 3 cylinders. I can't fucking wait.

63 back on a gsx s1000 for 4 years now after 21 years on HD. Guess i'm doing it the wrong way round, lil.
"if I could spare the funds". That encapsulates the video in six words.
Get is a liter bike 😂
I’m studying to be a motorcycle mechanic/tech. How’d you get certified??
@@Super-Bike-Joe I went to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute for a year and a half, aka MMI. Summer of 2006 until fall of 2008. They have campuses in Phoenix and Orlando. It is a sister school of UTI. Good school. I learned lots from great instructors. The trick is getting into the field and staying there.
I wish I could go to those schools!!! Im taking it thru Stratford inst. it’s OK. Fortunately I worked on my bikes and cars (fast cars). So know a lot already. Im probably going to open my own shop.
My first liter bike was an 84 FJ1100. Next was a 97 YZF1000. I've been on a ZX-10R since 2013. Next up, H2.
And that's why you need a MT09 😎
Sounds like buddy doesn’t know that M roads exist in the UK
A crosser is the best bike here in the UK because all our roads are motocross tracks...
Given how I ride my 750cc, I'd be scared to get a liter bike.
Give it its respect and you’ll be fine. You won’t get into trouble unless you go looking for it.
Not gonna lie 750 feels like the sweet spot if you’re not feeling like a maniac that specific day
I just don't understand why more motorcycle don't have trim levels. I want fully adjustable suspension cause I'm fat - I don't need or want 160 hp.
Overkill is underrated
As a Liter Bike rider, absolutely NOBODY (including myself)
Should have one of these absurd machines on the street.
There’s no good reason to have one.
Maybe that’s why I LOVE THEM
😂
I agree 😄
Why? People can't use basic throttle control and keep it in a proper gear?
@@logangodofcandy
No, because we really have no good reason to have that much power and speed on the road.
It’s absurd.

He made some great points! Im 48 and just bought a MT09. Love the riding position for my old joints and love the power/torque!

Price, size and weight are factors. A heavy, expensive 1000cc motorcycle is a lot to handle for a beginner. I love the 360-camera views!
GSXR 750...Perfect bike.
I got my Gxs S750. I love it.
💯
Agreed love mine
Age is just a number. I'm always going to be young at heart, so no matter what age I am, I still love my sports bikes. I own 2 sport touring motorcycles. One is a 1300cc, and the other is a 998cc, and both are still fast as hell. I think liter bikes are for anyone who can respect the power they have(RESPONSIBLE RIDERS) and have some common since
Agreed. I'm 68 and have a gen 3 Busa and a Tuono v4 1100 and enjoy the hell out of both of them.
Cool name
I'm old at heart. Young people are stupid.
Yammie I’m turning 60 this year and still love my 2003 Fireblade and my 2017 Fireblade
I’m 63 and the Moto Guzzi V100S was my finishing bike. I love the torque, the looks and versatility.
I'm just rocking the de-tuned 2004 cb919 til things get better one way or another.
I agree with poppa yam. I have zero desire to break 140mph anymore. Even on track. But for me naked bikes are just not sexy to me. That’s why I chose the R7. Looks the business. And with a few mods it’s an absolute blast to ride. In the twistys or the track. I no longer care how fast I can go on the freeway.
it has been like this for many generations in my country, it is very rare that anyone buys a new bike, I've rearly met anyone that has bought a new bike, even a practical bike, so it has been like this for 100+ years in my country, as far as I know
yammie stop spreading misinformation saying 1000cc's exist, the only bike that actually exists has 1300cc's,has a turbo and ends with BUSA
😂
Which is slower than a H2R 😂😂😂 might as well as ride a scooter with the loserbusa.
“Gen Z do crazy things” and wheelies in a return entrance
“These guys are 50’s now, and they want something not body demanding, like a scrambler” riding a scrambler 😂
I got my first bike a 2021 GSXR 1000 last March at 49 years old so yea I’m the 50 year old on a super sport liter bike.
Got myself a s1000xr. Best of both worlds. Comfort and speed. And a used one can be had for a relatively decent price.
53 yo, CBR 1000rr, Ducati hypermotard, CR500AF sumo...
I ride the torque most of the time.🤪
I have lived 6 miles from Laguna Seca for 20+ years.
@@YashhBhushan Be safe! Hopefully you'll get old like me and just start riding to enjoy the view and clear your head.

Spot on! Got a Ninja 1000sx too. Love it for long miles and touring. It’s just nice to have solid power anywhere!
I have a ninja 1000sx love it . Long live the inline 4
Long live the inline 4 and wide ass women.
Yeah 👍
I have one too, but the eccentric axel nut and asymmetrical forks are a huge turn off for me after a year of ownership... I think I might trade it for an MT-10SP or something of the sort this year.
Amen!
To put it simply, a 1k is for anyone passionate enough to spend the boat loads of money it costs to keep it happy.
I have an adventure bike, never intending to take it off road- Tiger 900 gt, I like it for light touring without getting a monster sized Harley or Vaquero. I have a dual sport for the dirt.
Same. I have a 1290 Super Adeventure S and I just treat it as a big sport tourer. Love the heck outta that thing.
Waitin' for that R9....
Tbh I love the CP3 so much probably will own both
Love my 2023 MT09SP.
That's me on the R7 saying hey 😂
I'm 54, I love my 23 s1000rr.
Some people don't think "I wanna be (perceived) as that fast guy", some people just like going fast and getting there fast.
No one needs 1, but we want them.
I am content with my old underpowered 07 Speedy with 130hp. Still a wheelie monster!
Well, your bike is three times more powerful than my '63 Beetle was, and it's quarter of the weight. It should be fun. I loved my old Beetle.
@@davidbrayshaw3529 That is an awesome slow vehicle; I have always wanted one. How long have/did you own it?
@@davidbrayshaw3529 it is a blast with character; I'm more into torque now than peak HP. Older now too, with a more sensible throttle wrist.
@@SamslamminCars I had my first Beetle, back in the early 80's. It was a paddock basher, as we say in Australia.

I ride a VFR at least 5 days a week, and I get the VTEC kicked in (yo) maybe once in a week. I have no need for 180HP.
That's actually not good for your bike. VTEC on the VFR gets sticky if you don't use it enough.
Used (2012) Panigale owner here, you can get one for nice prices now ;)
The R7 dude just waving got me distracted :D
That 360 is nuts
I got a ZX10R and a ninja 1000 sx. I love both but the N1K is so NICE to ride for comfort and can still boogy at like 90 mph cruising speed
I'm 58 and have an Aprilia RSVR a 2023 MT09SP and a 1973 Yamaha RT3... I probably ride the MT09 the most.
Back “in the day” I was able to own 7 bikes at the same time. A superbike, a sportbike, naked, ADV, UJM, a track-only bike, etc. Fast forward to today and I only have an 07’ Tiger 1050 with 55,000 miles that must last until the end of times.
Shoutout to the video bomber bike guy. 🤙
I'm going to be 50 in a couple weeks. I'd love a Hayabusa but only for about 20 minutes at a time.
Ducati SuperSport 950 was the answer for me. It has the looks, has plenty of power for me, and its decently comfortable and designed for the street.
Best part of this video is seeing Yam just stuck in horrible traffic makes you realize is he really is just like the rest of us
best bit of the video was r7 person waving :) made my day
it's an r1
I bought my '23 s1k because I wanted it. I have not yet used the entire speedometer, however 😂. It is super comfortable to ride, and im about 6'1 in my riding boots and 285lbs. I do a lot of highway commuting, so having a straightline squid missile is convenient. A 400 is certainly not hauling my fat ass at highway speeds lol. I also don't like adventure bikes and stuff personally, but that's just me.
I really cant tell if a 1000 is good or bad for newer riders
@@heavenlytacos1221 Generally, not good at all. Especially if you have no experience with anything like dirtbikes/atvs etc, and you're young. I didn't start riding till Dec of 2022 when I bought my Ninja1000 as my 32nd birthday present for myself. There's a maturity factor if you're going to start on something that big, and my ninja1000 was nothing compared to the ballistic missile my S1KRR is. Always recommend starting on a smaller displacement bike. Yes you will get bored and want to "level up", but following the progression of displacement is the "safest" and most recommended route.
as a fellow cyclist the USWE hydration pack is both halarious and genius
I just finished the msf. I'm now able to ride a suzuki tu250x in a parking lot...so im gonna go buy a zx6r and see what happens
Just got a cbr1100xx because I needed to know what a liter bike is. I know it does not compare to modern hyper bike but damn that thing rips at any rpm. Will be selling it to get a dual sport soon .
Please for the love of god...stop saying 20 "X" entries. (All give away channels). If people don't understand tha basic 4 of mathematics, they shouldn't have a license to drive the giveaway. This allowance for catering to the lack of basic understanding is getting old. That aside, love the channel, love the analysis on all fronts for all bikes. Very fair all around
