    I have used this method and got great results. my hair edges fell off due to braids. I had a ball spot I couldn't even grip. but after 3 wks I actually had 2" growth in the spot. I used the 7 day treatment with castor oil and almond oil. I washed once every other week. applied solution every 2 days and a brief message on the day of application. my hair texture has even improve I'm that section. I could actually put water on my edges and get soft baby hair. never been able to do that b4. it's been a month since I did it and the edges are still soft. but even just doing the massages every now and then and the continuous use of castor oil I still haven't had any growth since. so I can say for me it was defiantly the cochie cream.

    I used monistat, mixed with water, for a month, and got 1/2 inch to 3/4 of an inch throughout my entire head. I have extremely slow hair growth, so my hair grows less than 1/2 an inch a month. (I dyed my hair, and measured). BTW, thank you Green Beauty for making this video!

    Just my lil two cents. I did it in the early 2010s when it was a really big thing and ladies were tracking growth in our Fotki albums. 😂 It absolutely worked but I got headaches. Couldve been the peppermint oil idk. Now the mix we used was the Monistat and Shapely’s MTG with some essential oils. I think I made a scalp cream too. We were really creative with it lol. I have been thinking about using it again for a trouble spot I have and my crown area.

      Read the ingredients to make sure it's pure tea tree oil. If it's not the first or only ingredient don't bother. I usually mix mine with a carrier oil as pure tea tree oil can burn your scalp as well.

  • @davis1035

    Personally, It's not that serious for me! I'm not buying pills, mixing "special oils", or walking around with my hair smelling like Yeast infection cream (cause applying this for a week will have you smelling like it). I keep my scalp clean and give myself 6 minute massages 3-4 times per week and that works fine for growth. I massage while watching television. Tea tree is awesome and worth the addition to my regimen, but the simpler the better, in my opinion. But I loved this video, try for sharing.

      @@carolinelaronda4523 She breaks it down in layman's terms around the 4:10 min mark. He just re-worded what she said with more complex scientific terms.
      Basically, an inhibitor an agent that can inhibit (stop or reduce) how other drugs and enzymes are metabolized. When this happens the drug or enzyme level can rise and possibly result in a harmful or adverse effect. CYP450 enzymes are essential for the production of things like cholesterol and steroids as well as detoxing foreign chemicals and drugs. Steroidogenesis is the process in which your body converts cholesterol into biologically active steroid hormones. Scroll back to the 4:10 min mark and Ms. Green Beauty will give the run down on exactly which steroid hormones are inhibited by Monistat.

      I had very similar results with my ketoconazole shampoo. I have scalp, face and neck sebhoreic dermatitis. it helped a lot with ridding the fungus. Monistat worked the same way but wasn't as strong as ketoconazole. both of them worked but eventually the fungus fought back and I had to stop using both. so now I'm just back to my apple cider vinegar and aloe Vera mix. not as strong, but it does the job. I'm the summer next year, I will start back using my ketoconazole shampoo, but will continue to use acv on my neck and face. also will use it on my scalp sometimes. Both ketoconazole and miconazole helped with immense hair growth.

    Green Beauty Channel, as always, very informative! Although I have never heard of this method and I will not be trying Monistat the natural alternatives are attractive. Can diluted Tea Tree Oil be left on the scalp/hair or is it better for hair health to rinse it out?

    SO if it reduces "hormonal" hair loss, would it work for someone like me who has PCOS? I do take very good care of my hair but no matter how much care I put into, I always end up with a denman brush full of shedded hair (about a 3-4 inch wide ball of hair) and more so when I finger comb it. The hair gets wrapped around my fingers.

    Would a cayenne pepper and tea tree oil massage be safe?? I was thinking about mixing your tea tree oil with cayenne peppers and massage it into my scalp the night before wash day but wasn't to sure about the pepper.

    • @xenakaii
      @xenakaii 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ohhhh...i understand your thought process but tea tree oil by itself it a lot and adding the cayenne to it might make it overly strong....if you do try a tiny sprinkle of powder to test the heat and see how tolerable it is.

    Monistat is an antifungal, not antibacterial. It helped my hairgrow tremendously. Only use for 1 or 2 months at a time. Use with oils, black castor, coconut, olive oil. I also mixed in Ayurvedic herbs. What I did find that after more that 2x a week my scalp was very sensitive though.
