Paired with hair oiling/scalp massage and finding a balance with a hair wash routine I had the thickest shiniest hair I’ve had since I was like 12. That was one year ago. My job stopped in September, my funds got HECKA low like I’m broke asf lately and also I am a mom and gotta feed everybody, and my hair this past year has thinned out by maybe half the density for reals, it’s breaking off, my scalp is either super dry or super oily… it’s just rough. I was one of those really lucky people that had INSANE hair my whole life. very long, thick hair but fine hair strands, bright blonde naturally, & I didn’t do anything for it. I hardly ever cut my hair, so it was long my whole life. that was my factory setting. and then I chopped it off ! I don’t regret a thiiiinnnngggg, I kept it short for YEARS & I loved it ! but now I’m wanting it long again, & I’m finding it harder to grow out than it ever was before (I’m attributing that mostly to just… being older & being very stressed lol) and it’s so wild to have to actually think about *trying* to grow it long when before I didn’t give it a passing thought. I LOVE that she not only put tons of of hair products she uses in the description and their links but she put her affordable options down too. Thank you so much!!!
@bombshell2003 Hi everyone!I’m looking to join a group that focuses on helping girls glow up and become the best version of themselves. I’m interested in improving beauty, mental health, and overall well-being. If you know of any groups or can add me to one, I’d be really grateful! Thanks a lot!
Literally just commenting to say that you saved my hair. I've been listening to your tips for over a year now and all of my hair loss has been reversed and my hair is thicker than it's ever been in my life. Luv u
if you have fine (not thin, FINE; meaning your individual hair strands are really skinny as opposed to coarse), be careful with scalp massages and hair oiling. shedding hair during these activities is normal because of stimulation, but be mindful of whether it's affecting your hair negatively (i.e., more shedding than usual). fine haircare can be a bit different and requires more delicate routines. just something i wish i knew before i started my haircare journey! like kayli boyle said in this vid, LENGTH PROTECTION is everything for fine-haired girlies. that is what will make the biggest difference for any hair type.
@@MyBeautifulHealth i literally said "LENGTH PROTECTION." for fellow fine-haired girlies, focus on not compromising scalp health and clarity. wash as often as you need to, which could be daily. be gentle with your hair, focus on being gentle with it and minimizing damage to length. heavy scalp treatments and full-length oiling are not for us.
@Sloth-q3gi started oiling my hair and i had crazy hair loss especially after the massage. I continued it though. Now i try to be gentle and hair fall has been less
you are the only and I mean THE ONLY hair girl I trust .. I started taking care of my hair with u it was boob length , 2 months ago I got divorced I went for a bob immediately .. ugh worst decision ever , I hate how I look now BUT I'll do everything u said in this video I hope it grow fast .. LOVEYOU
Her and The Blowout Professor are the only two I trust! Just a few months ago I was confused by some differences in their tips, but now hers line up perfectly with what he teaches!
I forgot about this post but iam still committed to it , Update : my bob is shoulder length now … i am beyond happy and grateful still hate how i look with short hair but i’ll take that as my reason to commitment … totally recommend this routine AND u don’t need all the expensive products, i use drugstore shampoos with sulfate and hair mask no conditioner , wash my hair almost daily or every 2 days , good rosemary hair oil Twice a week and a good light oil for every night .
just 3 things helped me manage hair fall and increase hair growth: coocoonion hair oil + coocoonion shampoo + reactivatee hair serum. solid combination. won't stop using them anytime soon
blessed to have found reactivatee serum and cocoonioon hair fall control kit to control hair fall, as all hair issues have been solved with it. thank you, friend!
When i tell you that you are the only reason i have healthy hair now i mean it. It brings me great joy to do my hair oiling routine and have been doing it for 2 years since i saw your initial video. You are my favorite youtuber!! You are so amazing for being so open and honest not only about your hair care tips, but about your mental health! Thank you Kayli!!!!
Best hair video I have seen. Covers everything, debunks everything, answers all questions. And this woman is also delightful af to listen to. Thanks for the kickass info 😊.
Same here. Too much breakage if I try to detangle & brush when dry & it ends up looking & feeling like straw. I slather conditioner on it when wet & then detangle gently & brush as the conditioner provides slip & glide which makes it easier.
I have 2A very slight wavy hair and the opposite issue 🙁 if i detangle while wet it breaks alot so i have to wait till it's at least 80% dry...but then end up with a poufy frizzy mess 😫
Thank you for debunking the no shampoo trend, the hair training- totally grossed out with the idea of putting everything that comes in contact with my strands throughout the day (smoke, smog, etc..) on my pillow at night. In my case I have to wash my hair everyday and I am not going to cave into that trend ever! Your hair and tips are gold babe, thanks! ❤️
I also highly recommend doing jasmine rice hair masks (unsure if other rices work) Basically just when I rinse my rice in water before cooking it, I keep the water and put it in a spray bottle so I can spray it all over my hair, get it soaked in the jasmine rice water. I leave it on for a few hours before washing my hair and omg my hair feels so thick and strong after every time I do it!
the re-wetting and conditioning the ends with leave ins is such a good tip omg, can confirm this is such a great technique from doing it recently and it's so simple when you think about it 😭 rn i'm using the shiseido hair water spray (i prefer it to water as my hair is very high porosity and frizzes/curls easy) from yesstyle alongside the redken anti snap leave in conditioner and it can make my ends look freshly washed and treated!! so obsessed w this video it's been so helpful :') thank u kayli
Girl you are a real one! I'm glad to see your hair care is working! I started using rosemary oil last year after I was losing a lot of hair. Now my hair went from 26in to 36in and crazy thick. Keep it up my hair is past my butt but hip length hair was amazing.
That last bit about brushing curly hair in the shower! ❤❤❤ been doing that for YEARS because if I don’t there’s no way in hell I can get a brush through it without breaking way more hair
Thank you for being so honest and clear about hair not growing faster. I see so many people online saying whatever about hair growth to get their views up. That says so much about you as a person. Loved this video. Definitely got a new sub!
Also Kayli you would be so SO good and helpful as a professional if you ever do decide to do that. You already do so well with explaining things, doing research, and being HONEST. Which we don't always get from hc professionals. Love love LOVE your channel 🫶
Kayli, I rarely leave comments for videos, but I wanted to say thank you for such an in depth video. I was doing the oil treatments however leaving them overnight. I learned a lot and started incorporating leave in conditioner and I already see a difference in my hair. Thank you for such great transparency! God bless.
I used to have long healthy thick hair before I went to college and chopped it 😅. After that, I experienced so much hair loss from stress. That’s when I found your channel and I started incorporating your tips!! It has helped me so so much and I just wanted to thank you because it really was a rough time for me physically and mentally to experience. Much love 💕 💕💕
The trick of water and oil seriously works. I have thick curly hair and do my own mixture for detangling with rose water and coconut oil. It both helps hidrate and seal. I have used comercial products for years and they worked amazingly but now just experimenting with historical haircare.
You are SO knowledgeable about this! I feel like I can trust what you say compared to a lot of the people out there because you can back it up! Thank you so much for making this video!!
Thanks for saying we can/should wash our hair more often. Embarrassed to admit I’m always stuck in hair training, especially because I try to prioritize exercise and want to avoid sweat on my clean hair and/or always want to get one more workout in before I wash. But I rarely “enjoy” my hair like you said. It’s a vicious cycle lol. 😫
Dang girl, I like you a lot. I've been obsessed with my own hair care and you remind me so much of myself and my own journey in finding out what works for me. Thank you for your videos, I just really enjoy watching you
As a latina women with 3b-3c hair, Is have followed the "wash your hair every week" to keep the oils in. But for the last few months I've stopped doing it and I just wash my hair every 2-3 days, and less than 6 months my hair has grown 4 inches. All of this is true, and I will start hair oiling again, to benefit even more. Thank you for the tips!
You are SO SO SO well spoken, I’m so impressed with how you presented and talked about all of this wow and I’m sooo excited to try to incorporate some of these tips into my life yay :) I also think a lot of these tips are so beneficial for overall health so I’m pumped
I'm watching this after a mental breakdown, i shaved my beautiful healthy hair that i carefully grew for two years...there is nothing I can do, mental health is my life battle and luckily I'm in therapy I wish I could go back to my past self and tell her to wait a second. What is done is done and who knows maybe this new journey will help me..this video inspired me to take a picture or short video of my hair to see how much they grow, this will give me the motivation to take care of myself ♡ thanks for all the tips!
I just want to add that everyone will have to adjust some things so it works for your hair type. (As you mentined briefly) But for all fine hair people out there, this might help you: As a person with fine and brittle hair, very thin hair strands, I can't use a bamboo brush on my hair, because my hair strands will literally get stuck between the wooden bristles. I can use boar brushes or tangle teezers. I also have to be very gentle when brushing. Also, I have to brush my hair when wet, otherwise I will have dreads and knots all over my hair. I also need to be very gentle when washing, no hard rubbing, because it will damage the hair. Finding the right products are still a pain, I haven't found the right shampoo yet. I need to find something that don't strip the hair too much. I still haven't found the right hair oil yet, but I know that coconut oil is a big no for me at least. Also, hair ties... Finding a good hair tie that is not damaging the hair was a pain! Now I only use those smaller sized scrunchies, because my hair is too thin for the normal sized ones. I haven't changed to silk pillow cases yet or silk bonnets/scarves, but I will try that next. Anyone else with fine hair that struggles with these things too? What have you found that works for you? 🥰
GIRLLLL I've taken so many notes on this video like a college course lol but OMG THANK YOUUUU for bundling all this info into one vid, super helpful ! ! ! 🙏❤❤
Thank you! I hate when people spread false information on hair without getting to know the science. I have fine damaged hair with inherited female balding. I really hope this helps me keep my hair for as long as I can 😊
hey kayli! your video has motivated me to work harder for better hair. i'm a curly chick with 2b/2c curls who used to have thick hair as a kid. i also was only able to grow my hair to its terminal length every since i got a big chop in 5th grade. to this day its always at that one length no matter what i do and sadly a few months ago i unknowingly got a keratin treatment done which was nice in the beginning but now i'm just losing a ginormous amount of hair and my hair texture isn't coming back at all. i was already in the stages of hair loss and after this treatment its gotten worse. i'm hoping that by following these tips i can revert my hair texture and grow it much healthier and longer. super sorry about the rant!!
I love you for ur honesty I am from India and since childhood my mom is taking care of my hair I have preety long hair and healthy too and I have seen how to actually take care of ur hair oiling ,good diet ,exercise, sleep etc 🎀
This was a very informative, I must say. I've learnt a lot and I appreciate the honesty in your video. You've gained a subscriber. A very realistic view on hair growth, debunking almost all the other videos that claim "faster hair growth"
You are my absolute favorite TH-camr!!! I related so much to the hair loss in your 19/20s, going trough it rn at 21. Your videos are always super informative. Thank you so so much!🙏🏼
Your hair is gorgeous! Your blessed your hair was thick to start with. I can grow my hair very long but it’s so fine I feel like it just looks like it drags my face down. When it’s shorter it’s a lot thicker looking!
I’ve been doing that hair training thing for exactly 10 years, always worked for me and still works. Hair is halfway down my butt, it’s been halfway down my thighs during this past decade, I do not have the time or patience to wash my hair all the time, once a week is all I’m willing to do honestly😂 shampoo twice, condition, leave in conditioner and some oil. I brush it every few days because after having long hair for so long you start to realizing leaving it alone is key, and trims!
I am similar. I wash my hair every 5 days. Anything longer is gross lol day 4 & 5 can be pretty oily... Depending. Sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes not at all. But I do use dry shampoo so that can contribute to the times it's not super oily. But like she said, EVERY PERSON is different. My bestie washes it once a week and she has GORGEOUS hair. To each their own 😘
I've always had a good amt of hair but never knew how to care for it. When I was 16 I had hip-length hair with dry thinning ends, I cut it off to titty length 2 years ago and it was amazing. Because of your videos I got my dream haircut and started using hair oil, scalp massaging, and heat protectant. Now I have elbow length hair and it's been so healthy thanks to you. I hope you know how much it means to so many of us who never had an older sister or mom who taught us this stuff. ILY Kayli!!!!!!
Well 😭 she did say she's speaking from experience. Her routine is fit for her hair. Go through your own personalized process to understand what's the healthiest and most beneficial for you.
kayli you’re one of the main reasons my hair has started growing and is looking better than it was a year ago. highschool caused a lot of damage and my hair was on the receiving end of it 🥲 I started watching your videos last year and it has been magical to watch my hair go from limp and thin noodles to a thick and glossy mane 😭 I’ve started styling it better it too (layers and curtain bangs) and it’s genuinely crazy how different it looks from what it was 2 years ago. you’re a saviour for me!
I’ve been following you for the past year and it’s truly amazing how long your hair has gotten and so quickly you’ve inspired me to start taking better care of my hair again and it’s growing better then ever, your an angel ❤️
Kayli, this is HANDS DOWN the absolute BEST hair video on the entire internet, EVER. And I've been watching so many of them regularly since 2013! And yeah, my hair still needs help... but now I feel like I finally have a complete and comprehensive overview! Subscribed, and I will return to watch and listen to this video over and over again (definitely every single day for the time being, to drill it into my brain LOL) Today has been a great day in my world already, but YOU just took it to the next level and made it absolutely phenomenal! Thank you in advance for the upcoming growth of my hair! Fawn 🩷🩷🩷
There IS things that you can do/take for faster hair growth 😊. I have done these and it worked. My hair is butt length and I’m 56 yrs old!! Nature Bounty Hair Skin and Nail vitamins, take 4 capsules instead of 3 recommended! I use silk/satin pillowcases, WET brush, brush hair gently upside down every evening, aloe Vera & coconut mask, wash & Condition hair only 2xs a week, no heat tools!! Drink more water! Good luck 🍀
I found your channel today and I just wanna thank you for pointing out all the things that we do wrong. And also I wanna say, I'm an impatient girl, but I just saw the full video without feeling boring. Thank you soooo much for all the tips,do's and dont's. ❤
I found your videos this week and purchased TWO recommended products and I've already seen such a difference in my hair texture. And I haven't even gotten to do anything for my scalp health yet. Eternally grateful for your videos and research you've done
I loved all your tips! Specially spraying water and using leave-in conditioner everday. I also have dry ends no matter what and up until now, I'd been handling them with hair oil, but sometimes I did get the feeling of using leave-in but just thought that I was wrong to do so 😅
THANK YOU for debunking hair training! For the longest time I thought that since my hair got oily after two days that meant I was doing everything wrong. I actively tried to take good care of my hair so I could never understand what was wrong with me or the products I was using but now hearing you say that I feel like I can just accept that my hair gets oily quickly and that’s OK! If I have to wash it every other day so be it. I’d rather that than it feel icky 😖 this video was so informative I can’t wait to use your advice 🫶🫶
I love how you always make genuine content like you can really tell you spend a lot of time researching and educating yourself. so glad you're uploading again
Hi kayli, can you explain about how to take care all the hair tools, like the hair brush, you use it in hair with conditioner on it, are you always wash the hair brush after it? To rinse all the product like conditioner or hair mask that maybe stay in the hair brush? How you do it? Thanks girl, I love all of your videos♡
Just started tea rinses to my oiling routine. I just made a batch yesterday. Today will be my 1st time. Supposed to work really well so we shall see! I will be doing this about 2x per week. Also the living proof bonding treatment is gold. Follow directions to the letter. And I do get better results if I blow dry. Just bought 2 different heat protectants. One for blow drying and one for flat iron. If I am not going out, I won’t blow dry
Thanks kayli ,i have been trying to grow my hair for the past year and because of your tips i can say that i achieved it , i had long thick straight hair when i was younger but after my second puberty my hair started falling out, the texture of my hair became thinner and i also dyed and bleached my hair so much but now it's way heathier, i have been following your haircare tips and now it's just so much thicker and healthier and longer, i even started to get compliments for my hair i really don't know how to thank you.
thank youuu so much. I dont know much about hair growth stuff since I've had short hair for most of my life but i really wanna grow it long. i dont think theres as much long hair for men that is as detailed as this. it was very informative :)
Thank you so much for this!!! Being struggling for years with stunted hair growth, as an anxious, stressed out , sleep lacking 43 year old vegetarian I have a lot going against me! But love getting advice and trying new things!
Agree with most of the diet points ❤ But the quality of those foods also matters a lot! Like opting for wild salmon over farmed and trying to buy organic whenever possible! 🌱🌾🥩🐓 I study organic agriculture and I know the poison they put into most food nowadays… :(
My hair wouldn’t grow at all it stayed the same length for YEARSSSSS. I’d get annoyed, cut it short & it’d grow back to that same length never growing more even after SEVERAL YEARS! Guess what made it finally grow past?? Pregnancy 😂😂
So true everyone’s hair is totally different. I have wavy/curly hair so it’s naturally on the dryer side and hardly ever gets oily, however washing my hair every 2-3 days is what I need to keep my hair the healthiest!

Hi everyone!I’m looking to join a group that focuses on helping girls glow up and become the best version of themselves.

Wat helps with fine hair?
thank you!!
A warning with no solution? 🙄

You have no idea how long i have been waiting for this!! Thanks Kayli!!!!!
Best hair video I have seen. Covers everything, debunks everything, answers all questions. And this woman is also delightful af to listen to. Thanks for the kickass info 😊.
Super true! I have wavy hair, and not detangling when it's wet is impossible. BUT, I detangle it when I have conditioners in, it makes a lot easier.
This video has restored my faith in growing my hair, thank you so much! 😭
😂
I also highly recommend doing jasmine rice hair masks (unsure if other rices work)
Basically just when I rinse my rice in water before cooking it, I keep the water and put it in a spray bottle so I can spray it all over my hair, get it soaked in the jasmine rice water. I leave it on for a few hours before washing my hair and omg my hair feels so thick and strong after every time I do it!
I love that you included some affordable options, also such a good and well-thought-out video. I will definitely start doing this
the re-wetting and conditioning the ends with leave ins is such a good tip omg, can confirm this is such a great technique from doing it recently and it's so simple when you think about it 😭 rn i'm using the shiseido hair water spray (i prefer it to water as my hair is very high porosity and frizzes/curls easy) from yesstyle alongside the redken anti snap leave in conditioner and it can make my ends look freshly washed and treated!! so obsessed w this video it's been so helpful :') thank u kayli
Oh my gosh, that re-wetting the ends and adding more leave in conditioner tip? Girl I feel like my life is about to change 😂❤
Literally I got soooo excited when she said that 😍😭
Girl you are a real one! I'm glad to see your hair care is working! I started using rosemary oil last year after I was losing a lot of hair. Now my hair went from 26in to 36in and crazy thick. Keep it up my hair is past my butt but hip length hair was amazing.
I am so glad you included diet & lifestyle habits because those are the main things that have CHANGED my hair.
Girl thank you for being so genuine and honest, people like you are rare on these platforms.
I’ve been waiting for this one! My hair is so much healthier thanks to your videos :))
When I tell you that all I've been looking for is this video, I'm not joking. Thank youuuu
The trick of water and oil seriously works. I have thick curly hair and do my own mixture for detangling with rose water and coconut oil. It both helps hidrate and seal.
I have used comercial products for years and they worked amazingly but now just experimenting with historical haircare.
How u use both water and oil
I am not joking when I say that this is the best hair care video on youtube! thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience
I was really impressed by the thorough and clear way she explained everything. thank you ❤❤❤❤
You are SO knowledgeable about this!
Wow, your hair growth journey is truly inspiring! 🌱✨ It’s amazing to see such incredible progress in just a year.❤

(As you mentined briefly) But for all fine hair people out there, this might help you:
As a person with fine and brittle hair, very thin hair strands, I can't use a bamboo brush on my hair, because my hair strands will literally get stuck between the wooden bristles.
I had the same experience with not washing my hair that often. When I started washing it all 2 days my hair quality improved drastically!!!!
Thank you! I hate when people spread false information on hair without getting to know the science. I have fine damaged hair with inherited female balding. I really hope this helps me keep my hair for as long as I can 😊
The only realistic helpful video on the internet, thank you honestly appreciate the honesty💕
14:07 love this because it reminds me that me sleeping long (I’ve always needed more sleep than others on average) isn’t being lazy. 🛌 😴 💤
hey kayli! your video has motivated me to work harder for better hair. i'm a curly chick with 2b/2c curls who used to have thick hair as a kid. i also was only able to grow my hair to its terminal length every since i got a big chop in 5th grade. to this day its always at that one length no matter what i do and sadly a few months ago i unknowingly got a keratin treatment done which was nice in the beginning but now i'm just losing a ginormous amount of hair and my hair texture isn't coming back at all. i was already in the stages of hair loss and after this treatment its gotten worse. i'm hoping that by following these tips i can revert my hair texture and grow it much healthier and longer. super sorry about the rant!!
I love you for ur honesty I am from India and since childhood my mom is taking care of my hair I have preety long hair and healthy too and I have seen how to actually take care of ur hair oiling ,good diet ,exercise, sleep etc 🎀

I really appreciate the scientific approach; the disclaimers and obvious research too! ❤thanks!
Your hair is gorgeous! Your blessed your hair was thick to start with. I can grow my hair very long but it’s so fine I feel like it just looks like it drags my face down. When it’s shorter it’s a lot thicker looking!
You did SO good on this video 🫢🤭 I can really see the time and passion you put into this and girl hands down to u ✋🤚
